Just think about it, psp did fine and it got many big third party games, it made the fortune of monster hunter and so on.
Vita is selling poorly, there aren't many big games from third parties, despite its success and the fanbase monster hunter(i don't care but i'm one of the few) now is on nintendo, sony needed to form its own department for localizations and ports and now persona is coming to 3ds.
Can you honestly ignore all of that?

It might seem unkind for me to say this... but honestly? Yes. Like I said before, I will chase Persona regardless wherever it may go.

I mean, I would love main persona games like P4G to appear on Vita, sure, but I wouldn't like, angry or anything like that, if it moves to 3DS or somesuch.

Enh...it's Worms. It's pretty ugly, but it plays fine. *checks price* Yeah, for $7.50, it's not too bad.

What's the general consensus on Valhalla Knights 3? The stupid sexytime games got a laugh out of me and the allure of adult content has me pretty curious. Worth picking up?

Also, how does it stack up to the new Ys? I've never played a Ys game before, but I know this is different in that its 3D now. I've watched gameplay trailers for both and they both kinda look like PS2 era JRPGs, but I'm kind of in the mood for that anyway, so I'm comparing them. Thoughts?

Haven't played the new Ys yet, but I'm sure it'll be better than Valhalla Knights 3. There's one person on here who loves VK3 (2+2=5), so if you want a pro argument for it, there it is. Personally, I wasn't too impressed. No autosave, lots and lots of grinding, questionable gender politics (if that sort of thing matters to you), and it was a massive eyesore. Like, I've played lots of PSP games that looked better.

I liked it better than mon hun personally, but that's an opinion born of not liking mon hun. About 80 hours down on it. Nice lore, somewhat convoluted story(that still fits well enough). I honestly don't see the parallels between this game and monster hunter though beyond fighting giant monsters in episodic missions.

Edit: And, oh yeah, there's free dlc that adds quite a bit to the game.

I don't know about the UK but Invizimals is pretty big in Spain and Portugal. The series was a system seller for the PSP there.
Also those three games are new, that's why they get advertised. What other system has a much better lineup of new and good games for kids this holiday? Nintendo has traditionally a good lineup for kids but it's not like they can advertise that many more new and good games. There are also several other older kids games on the Vita.

I like to imagine a room full of Sony execs that are completely baffled by twenty-something gamers buying both Tearaway and Killzone.

(In reality Sony always seem to ensure that there are as wide variety of games on each of their consoles)

Those are some good points (even if Nintendo still dominates the kid market - especially in the US). But at least Europe advertises the Vita. It might as well not exist in NA.

Turn based battles are usually my preference with some exceptions made for certain action RPGs that would just not be the same otherwise, like Dark Souls, MonHun, Soul Sacrifice, etc.

Eh, people love to compare both games, so I thought I should mention the fact I enjoy MonHun games (actually, I only played 3 Ultimate and I put some good 90~100 hours on it). Soul Sacrifice picked my interest because of the monster designs and the "gothic" visuals in contrast to MonHun's "medieval" looks. Anyway, I will give the game a try, when I get my PS Vita in a few days. It is free on plus, isn't it? That plus free DLC sounds like a good deal to me.

Their Vita section was a joke. Very small. Nothing was organized. No alphabetical order. They had like 7 copies of Smart As for some reason.

Took forever to find an associate. They saw there was 2 in stock...somewhere in the store.

Guy went to the back. Came back said it was a huge cluster back there and he couldn't find it. "Sorry" he said. That was it. I had to go on my merry way.

Ordered it on amazon on my phone before I left the premises. I really wanted to play today tho

I don't know why people keep comparing Soul Sacrifice to Monster Hunter - they really are very different games to be honest and I don't think it is very fair to either game. They both give me different vibes and I like both of them very much but for different reasons.

It IS really good! It has fantastic art design, great soundtrack and an imaginative combat system. It is a bit like Monster Hunter in that you team up with dudes and do missions, but the combat system is way different. It is also much more fast paced.

Plus, you get mountains of content in this game if you want to finish everything. Loads of free DLC will keep you busy.

My gamestop has now relegated the Vita games to the end of a center rack with all the old Wii games. It's sad. They did have Tearaway, but I ended up going digital.

Online DRM is 30 days and it refreshes each time for the whole PSM suite, no need for every game to check in on itself.
In the end, 30 days aren't bad, haven't noticed the DRM at all.
