The EU versions will be online tomorrow, and the PS4 rep said it's wise to use the EU version for EU consoles.

It's been one hell of a gestation period.

The speculation ("Both will only have 2GB of ram, 4Gb tops"), the bombs (8GB GDDR5), the bans (Reiko), the meltdowns (The Kayle), the hopes ("Sony will do it too!"), the tears ("I liked the DRM!"), the shills (Junior Member x 1000), the overreactions ("zomg the lightbar reflections, Orpreder Cellcaned") and last but not least, the GIFs (DemonNite, ElTorro, and all the others).

And I've been on GAF to enjoy every minute of it all.
 
Online deals have been pretty good, ordered AC4: Black Flag for € 57,94 and Injustice: Gods Among Men for € 49,83. Store prices seem to be around € 64 at best at Media Markt/Saturn, with some games in places going as low as 60, but nowhere near the prices I see online at well reviewed shops.

Gonna stick with those two games for launch and then maybe get NFS Rivals a week or two in I suppose.
 
I held a DS4 for the first time yesterday, a PS4 demo thing was at ASDA. Cannot believe how comfy and small the pad feels. Completely different to what I was expecting.

Latest information (that Ive heard, correct if Iam wrong) has been that Finland wont get the megabundle at all. Iam getting my PS4 someday, depends when local Gamestop is getting more them, might be next year or next week or...

So with ht PS4 launch us Europeans will finally get to see a glimpse of what Black Friday is like. Better bring a baseball bat with me on Friday.

Thank God for pre-ordering online.

So far, the only launch I rushed for was the Vita launch, stood in front of the store with a few people, but they all sucked at knowing the store lay-out, was the first one to get the system there. Felt good.

The 3DS appeared in my shop a day beforehand, so that wasn't much of a problem. The Wii I pre-ordered a few weeks before launch and had no problem getting that surprisingly (2 days before street date actually). Imported the DS via Lik-Sang and the GBA had ample supply when I got that.

The rest I got well passed launch date.
 
Are GAME stores opening early on Friday? Not going to the midnight opening, but I'd get there early on Friday if I could
 
Damnit, just had a conference call scheduled for 5PM on Friday, I am pretty sure that one is gonna be torture

At least I am on-call for work all weekend, which means I have the best excuse for my wife as to why I can't leave the house beyond "I want to play on the PS4". As long as my companies infrastructure doesn't start falling down..
 
Currently have Shadow Fall and Assassin's Creed IV ordered. Wondering if I should add NFS. Looks really appealing to me, more so than NBA 2K14 now.
 
yeha lets talk about ouer ps3 launchs everyone!

I preordered my PS3 with Motorstorm in the Sony Store Berlin. But instead of going to the overcrowded Launch Event:

i just walked into the store early next day and picked up my heavy ass 599Euro (thats right us friends over 800 USD!!) ps3 and took a 2h trip on public transport home. I then fired the baby up and played motor storm all day and night :D

Too bad this friday i wont have to much time. I will get the ps4 hook it up and force my 2 year old to wait while daddy looks if everything is "ok" with the system. If it is i will have to wait till the evening before getting to finally play.
 
I fear that i might not get my PS4 this weekend... DHL fucks up big time right now in germany with orders often sitting for days (sometimes a whole week) in the processing center before they'll finally get delivered. Since my PS4 will be delivered directly to a DHL/post office, there is only DHL possible as the parcel service. And i don't want to change the delivery address since Amazon.de has a warning that customers shouldn't change the address or payment method because of a system error.

Man, i really hope everything goes well... :(

Lego Batman 2 was amazing and this is basically the continuation if that design just with Marvel. So much better than all the other stuff they do like LOTR for example.
 
Also I am not a sports game guy but I might get NBA 2k14 next month. Mostly because the career move looks like fun.

what? where did you hear that?

Customer support told me they will ship it tomorrow. But it would make sense if they ship it today because they also shipped bf4 and killzone a day to early

Virgin Megastore, Piccadilly Circus, London. Went few days after launch so all was quiet. Think my bundle was £500 with resistance, motorstorm and virtua tennis 3. That was way too much for 2007. Think it was £1=$2 then :/

Somewhat regret launch period buy. My console was pretty much dead within 1 week, had to haul that giant back into Central London. That got YLOD just after 1 year, luckily Sony replaced it. Then that died just over a year ago YLOD again.

I think that is a rumor which was passed around yesterday. Several users on GAF and elsewhere had contact with Amazon.de customer support which apparently told them that Amazon will begin shipping PS4s today.

My copy of Battlefield 4 has moved to dispatching soon from Amazon UK. Still nothing on the console itself. Are the UK getting the gamer pack (Killzone, 2 DS4s, and the camera) day one, yeah?

In Star Wars they had the collection of Lego pieces and running around collecting them all was a pain. Marvel got something similar?

Also, what's the IQ like? I think it was the tearing on StarWars that gave me the headaches as it was forever tearing.

I'll read some reviews.

hmm my phat ps3 held up really good, it just died like 3 month after the relase of the ps3 slim. But i fixed it myself and sold it on ebay so that was ok.

I'm a sports guy and have FIFA 14 on PS4 already but I still want NBA 2k14 so bad. I even decided to download the demo of 2k13 just to learn the basics (providing there isn't a huge difference between it and 2k14). Got to the point where I still lose every game but by like 2/4 points usually so I think I'm ready....ish. :lol

Slam dunks are more satisfying than any goal I've ever scored in a FIFA game (and I buy every FIFA)....dem feels

Only thing is I don't want to pay 55 quid. That's too much.

'Murica here. I was a day one adopter. I will remember it forever. I had made it. The ps4 was mine! All mine. High, this was over a week ago and as I sit here typing to you my eyes are burned with the 1080p image of Edward the Pirate, sailing the ravage seas, his story scored into my mind. I have not ate, nor drank in 10 days and I fear I've lost all use of my left foot but my precious lives. I play. I cannot think of anything else. My precious ps4. I have finally found true love.
