Just got a text message regarding the arrival of a different delivery I was expecting to receive today but that one I delivered to an automatic parcel station like 200m from me, it gotta be the same truck!

It's excited to see you!

But seriously, no I don't think it is, do you have a pic?

Here:

Fell asleep on the sofa with the cats, loud bang on the door at 10 am and before i knew it cats and pillows were everywhere and i was stumbling back into the living room with a stupid smile on my face.

One thing of note, although I had update 1.51 downloaded onto a USB stick I tried the download and it was super quick (about 30 secs?) so there don't appear to be any problems updating it online.

How do you get the map and how many deliveries the guy has done with the DPD tracker? I wanna know how far away Andy is.

Might be a tumour. Get that PS4 for a doctor for a check-up just in case.

DPD will have sent you an email to tell you that the order is being delivered. In that email is a link to the map tracking.

Your *********** order will be delivered today by your DPD driver, between 17:34 and 18:34

Took the day off to wait in for this, what was the fucking point.

Clean the house, do some DIY, watch a film. Chill and read the paper. Make the most of your day off.

DPD Nick is about 5 minutes away from me but mine won't be delivered until 4pm - 5pm, will have to watch him drive around the city and further away from me.

A friend and colleague of mine paid a student to wait in line for consoles very early today. The guy was 35th in line for 60 consoles and he got it. He had to pay the student 800 NOK (USD $130) for the deed, though, but maybe worth it I suppose.
My own pre-order should arrive today.

I believe in David, even though he has been stuck at delivery 5 for 15 minutes now. It's about having faith in your DPD driver.

Do you think Micro SD card in a USB adapter would work?

Can't see why not (that reminds me, I have one of those, I don't need to use my phone as the transfer device).

I think you just put a folder on the SD card/drive saying UPDATES or something, then plop the file in there.

(I did that with my PS3 for custom themes and stuff).

Didn't think I was going to get a PS4 today.

I had originally ordered after the July cut off so I was sceptical at first, so a while ago I rang up my local EB and asked and they said I'm part of the second wave, which fair enough I did take my time to preorder, anyway fast forward to today and I got a call telling me my day one pick up is ready so naturally I'm confused, I get in there and ask and I was apparently in the first batch the whole time..lol

Your ShopTo order will be delivered today by William, your DPD driver, between 12:59 and 13:59

William is currently making delivery number 1, you are delivery number 32.
William is approximately 3 hours away from you.

I think I've had William before...

Also arrives just before I have to leave, now hopefully my DS4 blue comes around the same time as well. :D

You should be able to click "like" on your DPD tracking to spur on your driver and NOT like whipping a horse in a race... not at all.

Next shipment in Norway is in February?? What the hell, is this just a semi launch? The second biggest electrical store in Norway recieved just 30 PS4s in the third biggest city here.

Do other contries have an earlier refresh?

Thanks to GAF for helping the wait go quicker :)

A quick update on my experience so far, no game specifics more just overall user experience...

So, I set out to Game at 11:30 and was back home by 12:20 - not too bad at all :)

The PS4 itself is even smaller and better looking in the flesh than I expected (and I'd already seen it in Game - but nothing like a personal unboxing!) - some real voodoo going on here by Sony, all that power and PSU inside something so sleek.

So as it's standard fair sockets (bar the pseye) I was pretty much all ready setup to go - it took literally 1 minute to plug it in, very nice not to have to worry about wiring everything. Switching on (touch sensitive - no clicking buttons) you're greeted with the sexy blue glow across the PS4 - and in we go!

The DS4 feels nigh on perfect - I've always liked the DS3 but can understand people don't like how small it feels and how it's not quite as 'hand fitting' as the X360 controller. Sony have tweaked the DS4 to what seems an almost perfect size and fit for my hands, thumbs don't touch (even if I try) for those interested (was never an issue for me).

So signing in is a doddle, takes about 2 mins and you're logged in...and the great thing is, if you inserted your network cable half the 1.51 patch is already downloaded :) a couple of mins later the patch is down and the PS4 reboots a couple of times and you're good to go. The whole process from starting to unbox to getting onto the store took around 10 mins...and I wasn't hurrying!

So onto the store and (whilst not perfect) the store is a million times faster than the PS3 store. It's exactly the same layout (well, tweaked a little) but you'll be able to find and download stuff much faster (I must confess, of late the PS3 store has been a pain). Of course you can do all your store shopping on PC/tablet anyway - but it's nice to have a faster store.

I downloaded all the free games, FIFA demo and PS+ - it was a nice to see War Thunder was also live, so there's a nice selection of games off the bat. Games seem to download at the same time - so no more singular downloads - they also seem to download really fast (and auto-install)...as a 'measure' all the demos were downloaded and installed within my 1 1/2 hour 'mess around' with the PS4 and weighed in at around 40GB (DC Universe being a monster 28GB!).

So I played a few games just to try them out (and see how the whole process works) - by the time I'd finished on the store Resogun as already downloaded and installed so I had a quick blast on that, I'm not going to go into any game specifics, it's pretty and reminds me of Dropzone - I was a little surprised by the DS4 speaker - it's an interesting idea, not sure if I like it or not, but the quality seems fine. I stuck in Killzone and exited Resogun, checked a message I had received and went to start the game - at this point a loading bar was showing that as soon as I'd entered the disk it had started auto-installing, a nice touch...AC Blag Flag did the same so I guess that's the norm.

So far so impressed. Sony have delivered - to this point, tonight I'll be setting up remote play...

Just updated.
