Yeah i can imagine the guys greeting the delivery people with hugs and crying tears of joy as they hand them the packages.

Yep, I'm 99% sure that's what it is. The one with the rough thumbstick texture (the one that came with the console) look similar to what's been posted by those who have theirs start to flake away.

I've order some thumbgrips so I'll put those on the potential flakey pad and hope for the best.

Same here. I sent in an email and also spoke to someone on webchat and my issue has been escalated. Get in touch with them and hopefully they can sort us out soon! :)

Awesome, glad I'm not the only one who thought that way/noticed! That's the way to go Sony, I always loved the Gran Turismo series for its menu atmosphere and sans the blue-background the PS4 really reflects that :D

Also why is Warframe 0.49€ to download? o.o
 
Delivered, they sent FIFA instead of Killzone but forget it, I will pick up Killzone next week

HDMI error, no? But if you have a picture (as in, if you can see the menus and stuff) then you should be fine. Perhaps try the PS4 in another TV when you are done playing.
 
Well gaff after ringing DPD this morning and getting nowhere then emailing them they finally agreed to deliver my PS4 tonight rather than monday :D

The machine is in antrim which is 30 mins away and was gonna be sent to the depo here which is 10 mins from me (via car) and they rang me back and said they'd deliver it from half 5 to half 6 :D

Little doubt still but hopefully i'll have my machine tonight :D

Got my PS4!! The box is massive! (The packaging I mean)
Maybe post pictures the the pick up thread later for not I just... *Plays PS4 instantly*

Tracked and says signed and delivered, but guess what.....I DON'T HAVE IT!!! Either it's at someon else's house or the driver is trying to nick it. I think it's the first. But DEAR MOTHERFUCKING GOD......
Interlink Express were doing the delivery. Called them, they spoke to the driver who apparantly said that there was a note to leave it in the ally? Wtf! No..I was in and there was no note. I saw the fucking van but it didn't click because I was expecting a DPD van.
So, the short of it is I'm fucked. If it can't be found then I need to go back to Amazon, get my money back and pre order again. But I tell you this, they won't hear the end of this. I'm going to raise hell.

Yeah, I've sent an email, just hope I'm not left hanging for too long. At least I know I'm not the only one now and shouldn't have to jump through hoops to get this sorted. One hell of a downer though.
 
Installed the 7200RPM HD like I was defusing a bomb! Everything apart from PSN is working here. Made in China and very quiet.

Alright, it's finally here, phew! Impressions before turning it on for the first time

- The Amazon box was filthy, it seems the Chronopost guys used it as a table for their lunch. Grease stains and everything. Gross. Chronopost is the worst.
- Gamer pack from Amazon.fr, made in China (still not sure why this is important)
- I don't know how to manage the Wii U sensor bar + tXBO Kinect + PS4 cam + the sensor for the 3D TV. I need to look into it.
- This is one gorgeous piece of hardware. Wow.

Now, turning it on!
 
Congrats on everyone getting their PS4s. I am just trying to get on the PSN with my Vita in North America and its getting crushed.





I cannot wait to see these sale numbers.
 
Here in France PSN works, been downloading Contrast & Resogun this morning, actually downloading Flower and after that Escape Plan :-)
 
Guy do I need a USB stick to reinstall or can I use a USB External HHD?
I asked this so many time its not funny, thanks in advance.
 
My PS4 is on, the white light is on, I'm 99% sure it's working but the picture isn't being shown on the screen. I have tried two different TVs (at least one with the latest firmware) and 3 different HDMI cables, one of which is known to work (took it out of my 360 mainly since the other ones that defo work are too hard to get at behind the main TV).

Any solutions before I call the UK support line? If no, then what is the support number.

Did you manage to do the update? I had a blank screen after and had to boot into safe mode twice before I could get everything back.
 
Mine has just been delivered to the wrong house and my Dad's has aborted the delivery as they couldn't find his house, even though the same driver delivered something there last week.
 
I dunno if this is caused by the PSN problems, but I just unlocked 4 trophies in Resogun and didn't get a notification for one of them. Notifications for trophies are set to on, I checked.
