I liked Spelunky after playing the demo. But honestly, if I ever buy the game, it will be on PC since I can install the mod that makes the game easier :P

(1) The game was promised MONTHS ago. The developer then ported it to other platforms first and seemingly treated the Vita version as "it'll be done when we get to it". ...ok
(2) The game has been available everywhere else for cheaper. I'm not sure what the android/iOS versions run, but Steam and PS3 can be had for under $4 and should have all the content. Steam sure, PS3 version is a sale price
(3) It looks like SCEA is going to pull another one of it's "certification" failures and the game isn't launching the same week here as it is in EU (unless US PS blog screwed up and just missed it in "The Drop"). sucks, but still, not really seeing it as a reason to boycott when it does hit.

(a) Hasn't there only been statements that *some* of the 1.2 patch is in the Vita version. I don't think there's confirmation that ALL of the 1.2 patch made it in, yet. Yes, but the iOS version has no hard mode, that's half the game cut.

Now if Terraria is your thing and you want to support it because you *need* it on your Vita, great. But there are a ton of reasons not to support the game on Vita and I totally get why VW isn't..

I support anyone's right to not buy / buy whatever they like, I was merely voicing an opinion that the game is not overpriced imho and it being late isn't that big a deal to some.

I found leveling the characters to use the
Oboro Muramasa
to be the most tedious part by far. I actually managed to finish the first playthrough with both Momohime and Kisuke without spamming sword arts and whetstones. Once you learn enemy patterns, it's remarkably easy. But because you don't need to worry about getting more hit points, leveling becomes unnecessary. So you can fly through the first playthroughs fast, but when you have to use other swords for endings, it sucks. The dragon took me a while, though, with Kisuke. Some of the caves are absurd, just because you'll break your sword before you have time to react and it's back to square-one. When you're collecting the blades, I think there are four or five in white caves. You're gonna have to use sword arts. The tempest and divine blade skills are the best, in my experience. The cave with the
two dragons
, I nuked the shit out of them with tempest. I didn't even try to do it fairly. The best place to level is the northernmost region, I don't remember the name. It's right in the middle of the map. There are snow demons, and the cave consists of five or six waves of snow demons. They give a lot of experience and they don't normally break your blades. I got Momohime from 52 to 90 in a couple hours, going in and out of the cave there.

Do you really need to collect all the blades again? I guess you do to forge the final sword for the third ending for each person? Damn.

I just remember thinking the bosses would be the worst part, as I normally get hit there at some point, even knowing the patterns...

Stick it to the man Vita is now available for purchase!
...but damn 2 GB, dat touch pad control taking up that extra GB XO.

Those who already got the game may need to wait before the game becomes available for them to dl to their Vita.

That's cool, but holy damn @ 2gb! Wonder how long until the blog post for today goes up...

The Vita does PS+ cloud saves? I've never noticed it syncing any of my save games to the cloud. The only option I thought I had with digital titles were to copy the game to my PC to preserve the save state...

If it uses PS+ cloud, what happens if I copy a game over from my PC that has an earlier save associated with it? Will I get prompted as to whether I want to sync to the later cloud save? Can I force sync the cloud save somehow?

Yes it does cloud saves. Just like on PS3, you have to enable the auto-upload or decide to do it manually. There's a PS+ icon on the live area for every game.

There used to be a common place to tweak all of the "auto uploads" but I can't find it anymore. They may have removed it when they added the PS+ icons to the live area.

And yes, you can manually upload and download PS+ saves, as you can on PS3. Just use the PS+ icon on the game's live area.

If you restore from PC, I don't think you get anything besides the generic warning.
The Japanese demo is coming on the 12th too. Might be time to bring out the backup memory card again.

Is it available as DLC yet? When it is, I'll care. ;)

Nooo...that is pretty lame tbh.

Yeah, 2gb is a LOT considering the game is 1gb on PS3.

so is Terraria (US) coming out today or not?

Doesn't look like it.
505 and SCEA ignoring any/all questions about terraria
Ill be skipping this till major price drop or whatever as this was gnna hold me till Christmas when I get my 3DS buffet.
Starbound get for my building/exploring fix....fukem

Might get stick it to the man as a replacement

It's still there to do the all. Go into Content Manger, change the Connected Device to Online Storage. Scroll Down under Save Data Auto-Upload tab, Select Saved Data - Then check the ones you want to auto-upload.

Nope, EU first. Blame SCEA "certification", I'd wager.

Just like Velocity Ultra and Flying Hamster HD and Frobisher Says and all sorts of other games that got held up between releasing in EU and releasing in NA.

Aha, I think my CM auto connected to my PC and I didn't think to change it out to online storage. I knew it was in there, dammit.
Thanks!

I hope the filesize for Sittm is an error as that sucks. No way it's for touch controls lol :P I was expecting them to drop it down from 1GB, not double up...

N++ is coming to PS4 but not Vita? Seems like it would be a great fit for both. Hopefully.

No way should touch controls add an extra 1GB to file size. The only thing that could add that much space would be art assets (graphics, backgrounds, music, etc.). If it really is that size then perhaps they added in new art assets (at a new resolution perhaps)? and left the old assets in accidentally?

It's only 952MB when I check it (NA).

This is seriously going to make me use my Vita more. Before, whenever I wanted to play a new game that wasn't on my ridiculously expensive memory card, I would have to transfer another game back onto the PC to retain it's save data... which could take up to 20 minutes.

If I can just erase it outright and then only have to copy it back and sync to the cloud... well, that will make a difference.

Now, if they could figure out how to make USB transfer speeds faster... it seriously takes 20 minutes for me to transfer Uncharted off my card.

Uncharted is pretty great. For some reason I wasn't sure about it (wouldn't even play it if it wasn't part of PS Plus), but I'm loving it. Only started to play because Gravity Rush wouldn't let me finish my other downloads while playing, but now I don't wanna stop playing it.

So saves are tied to the game unless you use cloud saving? I'll keep that in mind then and upload my saves every time I need some room for new games.

So I'm assuming that whether Terraria is going to be cross-buy hasn't been answered? Do we know if it's cross-save?

Cross-save Terraria would be a killer app...

It will be cross save.
Cross buy i have no idea....could be possibly why they holding off releasing it cause of the sale going on now.

U sure ur not checking the ps3 size?
UNLESS the 2 gb is the size of both games together?
Checking on Vita's store and...

Ugh. Getting pretty damn frustrated by the waiting game. An indie strategy is not good if most indies are M.I.A.
"most" is a bit extreme. Especially since two other indies just came out.

Though SCEA does have problems. Took forever for Flying Hamster HD to come out, Frobisher Says, a bunch of others that released in EU way before NA.

But this case weighs a lot on the developer this time, since it's just now coming to EU. But since it's not out today, that's probably due to SCEA. ):<

From what I have seen: no cross buy confirmed but should be cross save. We should know tomorrow when it hits the EU, assuming it does.

Cross-buy was negative, according to EU blog.

Terraria, Runner 2, and Luftrausers. What else was a promised indie that slipped way out and hasn't been delivered yet?

Stick it to the Man looks amazing! Never heard about it before. Can't buy anything else for a few weeks though, waiting for impressions on the Vita version and how it compares to the PS3 one.

Alright thanks! I'll go update the OP, seems its 2 GB because the store counts both the sizes of the PS3+Vita versions =)

Alright VitaGAF, have at that game! If you get it before Midnight EST it should count towards $60 too.

The Spelunky daily is awesome, actually managed to get a decent run!

Another indie game I will finally play althogh I probably already own it 5 times.

I played this a lot but really glad it's coming to Vita, will definitely want a copy on it.

...I am a life-long gamer, and remain a huge fan of all kinds of different devices, but I must say that I have fallen in love with PS Vita. This means I’m pretty excited that we can add to its gaming ecosystem with the newest (and in my opinion best) iteration of Eufloria HD. Vita is already a home to some amazing indie games, and I hope that people will appreciate Eufloria HD in a similar light. I am playing through it myself again, and despite my knowledge of the game (I did design it after all) it feels fresh and immersive again. Hopefully you will feel the same.

Nice.

Can't wait for some SittM Vita impressions. If they're positive I'll probably blow that $10 PSN credit from this weekend on it, whenever that comes in.

Sony/Indie devs have wisely avoided giving release dates in most cases, so it's not like anything is missing deadlines.

Its just that I have this sizable list of games I'm looking forward to and no idea if they are coming next week or 12 months from now. Minecraft, when is that coming? Fez, I've seen video of you running on a Vita like 2 months ago, where are you? VVVVVV, you were announced in August - any updates? 1001 Spikes, in June PS Blog said you were coming this year? etc. etc.

I have both the Hori grip and this. Both are great. The Hori doesn't have to come off to charge, the CTA does.

Top of the page again! Buy Tearaway, get Spelunky if you're in the EU, buy Stick it to the man.

I've been looking into your suggestions and really want the Hori grip but it doesn't seem to be in production anymore.

How is the PDP grip? Having to remove the grip to charge is kinda a deal breaker for the CTA one for me.

I use the PDP grip and love it. I never use my Vita without it. Note that I have no experience with any other grips so I don't know how it compares. You have access to all of the card slots (cart slot and memory card slot) and the charger with the PDP grip just in case you didn't know. The only problem I'm having with my PDP grip is that the trigger buttons are starting to get a little worn but that's probably due to constant use over the past year and a half. The trigger buttons still work fine but they are starting to become a little harder to register when playing games that demand a lot of trigger usage such as Gravity Rush, Soul Sacrifice, etc. Not a deal breaker and the PDP is inexpensive to replace ($15 normal price).

Atlus games are on sale again on US PSN
I think the only reason they don't just leave their games on sale prices permanently is because this way they keep getting attention. :)

so is Rainbow moon decent? I knew that I did not want it on PS3 because of how "slow" it was, but with Ys: Celceta, spelunky and the Vita backlog (let alone 3DS/PS3) I am not sure I want to sign up for something like that.

BTW, if anyone is planning to buy Sen no Kiseki from the PS Store, now is the good time to buy it.

Vita version is only 4200 yen (2000 yen discount). This only lasts until Dec 5 19:30 (Japan Time).

I am cursing that PS+ auto-charge bug coz I am short of 400 yen to buy this. GRRRRRRRRRR...

No, I was serious, I guess I must have missed something? Sorry. It's my first month of plus (from ps4 launch and decided to buy a year's worth). So I don't really keep up on the instant game collection.
