Soul Sacrifice story chapter question
What the hell I supposed to do with Magusar in Only Memories Remain Chapter 7? I kept throwing attacks at him but his health doesn't even budge an inch, still green whenever I use mind eyes. Seriously, what's this chapter supposed to mean? Must I defeat Magusar in the real world first?

If it's what I'm thinking of...
you're supposed to 'die' there.

Then it continues the story.

After that you can fight Magusar in the 'real world' and there are three possible endings from that battle.

edit; fix spoiler tag fail
I just bought Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale ($20) and Sly Cooper 4 ($12) for PS3 and Vita (cross-buy) on Amazon yesterday.

Anyone think I got a good deal?
Sly yes, Battle Royale no. I got it on Vita for $10. I could have gotten it for $10 new on PS3 too, but I didn't want it on PS3 and didn't want a digital copy on Vita. And I live in Canada, where deals are usually crap. So if you're in the US, definitely not.

But must of all, all FRAGILE all this shit hardware is today. I carried my Vita around like it was a baby, and within one month it broke. I remember my Gameboy falling a few times, cartridges falling aswell, and nothing happening.

I'm so sick of this bullshit. I wish I could go PC gaming where the stress factor is less (although it exists).

I feel your pain. Got mine less than two weeks ago and noticed screen issues the other day. Returned it and waiting for a new one. I'll probably stop lugging it around in my back anywhere from now on. The 3DS' shell makes it a better on the go system anyway.

I'm still waiting for that free month of PS+ that Europe is supposed to get. Anyone receive their code yet?

So I finally bought a Vita and it will likely be delivered today. I bought it with two cards, one of 8GB and the other of 4GB. My question is: Can I switch them freely whenever I want or do I need to reset the Vita or do some kind of shenanigan every time I want to switch the cards?

I though of that too. Thanks for the answer!

You have to do all of that shenanigan everytime you switch regions. And why 8GB? That thing will filled up quick with Vita's digital incentive and library.

Also yay for your FeMC avatar.

Fragile ?
I've dropped mine from table few times and i'm tossing it into bag or my coat pocket with only front screen protector since day one and it's still in good condition

Hell, that guy on youtube who hit it with a Sledgehammer took about 5 blows to actually crack the screen.

It just feels fragile I think.

Anyone knows if The Amazing Spiderman game for Vita includes or not the DLCs from the PS3 version? How bad is the game in terms of gameplay and frame drops?
I got the platinum.

It's MISSING content from the core (PS3/360) game. Iguana's level in the sewer (and boss fight obviously), and an entire set of side-missions (blimp ones). And it has no DLC content. It's got 5 fewer trophies too, most related to missing things and one about taking pictures of all enemies, which I was glad I didn't have to do again. (got the platinum on PS3 too)

One good thing is they changed how you unlock costumes, it's better in the Vita version. You basically get them as you progress through the game and complete things. In the PS3 version you had to take pictures of certain marks in the open world.

Framerate in early missions is okay, open world it drops often. Lots of pop in. During boss fights and car chases (side-missions) in the open world the framerate drops a *LOT*. Later missions even have some hefty framerate drops.

Visuals are 'meh' really ugly from far away, better close up (but most of the time you'll be far from everything). Spider-Man looks great though. So there's that. Everything else is pretty ugly.

Controls were spot on though.

Despite it's problems, I enjoyed it. It's not worth $40 at all though. I don't usually tell people the 'worth' of games because it's subjective, but since it's a year late port with less content than the original at full retail (for Vita) price... that's just not acceptable imo.

Update on my Vita situation: Tested both my Vita and charger with a friend's Vita and charger. My charger is working flawlessly, the problem is with the Vita connector, who is suppose to receive the charge.

I got the orange light blinking twice and then going dead. In an desperate effort to fix this, I reseted everything to default, and still no change, meaning is a hardware problem.

I will try to go to the store where I bought it, although I don't have the receipt anymore. If they don't change it, maybe I will try to contact Sony Korea, and I know this will be a pain in the ass probably.

The saddest part is, I'm willing to buy another Vita if it all goes to shit, because I just love this system so much.

I'm glad I could at least reach the final chapter of Hotline Miami, so I can know watch the ending on Youtube.

And please allow me to rant just for a bit, because I feel so hurt: Fuck this last couple of generation, developers, publishers and the console companies. Holy jesus fuck, how can they screw up us so much and get away with it. I'm so tired of firmwares fucking and bricking system, save files, corrupted updates, long-ass installing times, patch this and patch that, exclusive DLC for Amayzon, EB Games, Gamespot, games not get localization, region lock, accounts getting banned for nothing, etc etc. But must of all, all FRAGILE all this shit hardware is today. Sorry to hear that ): I love my Vita so much I'd probably buy another one the instant it broke. Let's hope it doesn't. Definitely try and contact Sony Korea if you can. I don't know how long you've owned the system, but if you've not had it for long, they might do something for you.

Yup. I remember Schobeleth here on VitaGAF, his girlfriend took a hammer to his Vita and it was all good. It survived.

Aw, that is a bummer. I was hoping to have 12GB of storage available instead of only 8GB. Anyway, I bought an used Vita, so it was not like I chose an 8GB card over a bigger one. :c Still, I think it will serve me well for a couple months at least.

I told you I was preparing a neat Hamuko avatar :D

Nice review of the game, basically you have covered all of my doubts. But let me ask you , how much of gameplay you lose due to content missing , is it a few hours ?

Did some of you play Tearaway with the first person camera(with wide angle lens)?
I used it to find hidden things and imo it's another game that demonstrates that first person games work well on vita.

If it's the same account on both there's no major hurdles. It just needs to rebuild the database when you switch, and your icon positioning might change. Otherwise switching is fairly easy. That being said you will definitely want to upgrade to a bigger card soon

There's no need to reset the Vita if you link both cards to the same account, tho. But there's no hot swap, so you'll need to turn off the Vita to switch them.

Thanks! I misread Shengar's post. I have no plans of switching regions and both cards will be linked to the same account. So, does rebuilding the database take long?

Switching cards would be really just temporary. I need to pay some bills and pick some PS3/physical Vita games before buying a bigger (probably 32GB) card.

Hmm.. it's been awhile since I've played the PS3 version (at it's launch), but I'd give it about 30 minutes to an hour. Depending on your approach to the level. And there were quite a few of those blimp related missions, they were fun too. They were essentially races against time.

I went through looking for confetti and stuff that way. It was a sight to see. I'm glad they let us move around like that. Nothing looked worse close up either. The game engine is so good.

I'm using the camera a lot as I'm going through it again looking for the stuff I missed, not using it exclusively though, but maybe I'll give that a try in one level

No, two minutes or so. If you are switching often it could be a pain though.

Wow, I always thought Schobeleth meant she took a hammer to his Vita figuratively, not literally.

I don't get this talk about the Vita feeling fragile either. It feels pretty well made and like a premium device. Mine dropped several times as well and is ok. Only the screen is too soft and scratches too easily.

What the fuck?! Why does my Vita suddenly blinking orange? I swear the last I turned it off it still have about 20% powers. Currently recharging, still nothing.
Am I screwed?

i love my vita...it's so bad.

turning it off and on fixes everything

if it doesn't, then screwed

Happened with mine last night (and with killatopak, iirc). Just let it recharge and it shall wake up.

Thank God it can turn on now and recharging as usual. I just so upset since it suddenly went dead while in the last play session I'm sure it still have at least 20% of battery, and I turned it off not put it in stand-by. I'm swear, of all gadget I held now, Vita is only that have yet to fall.

-Stick It To The Man (12,99€, 956Mb, cross-buy)

No Terraria? wtf are those guys playing at?

Edit: perhaps they wanted a worldwide release so held it till next week?

Just noticed that Nunnageddon finally made it to the german PSM store a month ago. Was interested in it because It was Carl's friends game and he was posting a lot about it.

It was delayed because it didn't had a german store text and I even offered my help for a translation but never heard anything and the game still wasn't coming.
Now it is finally here with the worst Google translation I have seen for a while, SMH.

Hope Eufloria Adventures is still coming to PSM. It's the only interesting title left on the horizon for the dead platform.
I should probably wait for a native Vita version of it anyway before I get burned again.

Isn't up for me and where the fuck is Terraria? I am buying it even though we got bullshit for months. Now they can't even deliver it on the release date we finally got?

Are any of you guys excited about Vita TV?

Would you buy one to compliment your Vita?

Perhaps more importantly: Do you think it would appeal to anyone not already owning a Vita?

It seems to be doing craptastically in Japan so far, clocking in on 5k in its third week today.

Perhaps, if I could use the Vita as a controller / stream from the Vita to my TV with it, (can you?). Would make a nice "second screen" device / media streamer. I dont like the way it fragments the market though with the touchscreen games.

It was doomed in Japan, they love their handhelds and don't go as much for media boxes under their TV's.

I want one (if it's released in NA). For Vita/PSP/PSone stuff and for PS4 remote play.

I believe you can do that, but I'm not 100 % sure

When are we gonna hear more Gravity Rush 2? The lack of news is fucking killing me. I'm desperate for more info. InFamous is the only game I'm more excited for.

I prefer playing on my handheld and only own 1 TV where my PC and PS4 will be hooked up to. Also, there aren't any interesting streaming services available where I live, so the Vita TV isn't interesting to me.

If I could get the same services like in the US, I would be all over it even though I already have two media devices connected to my TV (quieter and less power consumption).

Not true. You can only have a japanese account on it right now but all retail games will still work.

Thats not exactly true as whatever is not listed on the compatible list wont work. Since in the PSV TV import thread some folks mentioned some titles did not work, which were not part of the supported list.

The bottom line is, if you dont buy things on the JPSN dont buy a PSV TV. Period.

honestly man, im desperate for some new western announced titles.

announcements dry up around this time of the year though...we'll start seeing what 2014 release calender looks like heading into feb 2014

Doki-Doki Universe's trophy list is now out in the wild, which suggests to me that the game is out soon, maybe with next week's store update.

Big spoiler warning though, one of the story trophies gives away the ending in both its accompanying image and title, and it's not even hidden!

Press embargo ends on the 10th, and the dev Tweeted on Monday it's out on the 10th as well.

I just started playing last night. It's...interesting.

is Rainbow Moon worth getting?

Only if you really enjoy grinding. I'm not a fan, personally, but if you want lots and lots and lots of turn-based battles, it's probably perfect.

WTF why is this forest in Ys Celceta so damn big. I don't remember Ys Seven being this big.

On a side note I accidentally dropped my Vita on my chest. Somehow because of it I accidentally discovered you can adjust the camera in in Celceta by pinching the screen.

In patch 1.02 you can also adjust the zoom by pressing left or right on the right analog stick, and up and down on the right analog stick sets the party behavior (attack / evade).
The right analog control isn't in the English version yet, right? I think it was added for Vita TV use.
