Last I heard they were looking into it. I'm waiting for it myself too.
Any idea how long ago that was SCEE are not the best at dealing with things swiftly if at all?

How did you know I hadn't gotten? 100% ಠ_ಠ
I'm in two minds about the game's structure. I also love its replayability because of the levels being random generated. It's a genius idea that works with the game. I guess it's just the challenge that is off putting, and more so when luck is against you. So in a sense, it would have been welcome if the game had different options to costumize the way you play the game depending on your mood, like you given the choice to have checkpoints or not, or you adjust the amount of enemies on screen or their aggressiveness. It's pretty odd that the game doesn't have any difficulty modes.
I'd have loved being able to properly finish the game and then go back to the game and play it again just for the randomness, but then trying to survive as long as possible with the way it's meant to be played.
Thanks for the link, I've watched some of it already and is it me, or does it seem like the guy is playing the levels for a long time? Usually I take between seconds and 4 minutes on every level *will watch more of it later*
I'm definitely planning on playing the game more. Actually, today was pretty embarrassaring, as I was playing the game for so many hours. Every journey might last a couple of minutes, but you can't help but continuing all the time. And that's what I don't like, wasting hours on a game, doing the same sections over and over just because you can't save your progress. It felt unhealthyAnd that's without even trying daily challenges!
I'm having trouble getting a shotgun since shops are random and you don't always have enough moneyThere have been so many times where I had like 30k wanting to spend on a shotgun before the jungle levels end. I also didn't realize that the shortcut for the temple levels won't appear if you don't have the shortcut for the ice level. Very frustrating!
But I'm trying to stick with playing the game from the beginning instead of using a shortcut. I made it to the temple once. It felt good for a couple of seconds, but I didn't get to explore it, some mummy killed me straight away.
Thanks about the huge fish, I thought you were meant to kill it. I wasn't sure where the exit was, at first I thought it was in the water!
Is Rogue Legacy frustrating like Spelunky? I was really looking forward to that one (being a mix of castlevania and arcade style gameplay) but my heart can't deal with more of Spelunky straight after.
The military DLC was pretty fun, but are the other two worth it at this price?
I wish I could. Fuck those stupid slide puzzles.
Congrats and welcome. That's a great bundle. As for the 3G. It won't affect battery not using it. Keep the SIM in there; it doesn't make you subscribe to AT&T, and as far as I know, there's no way to get rid of the No SIM dialog. However, with the SIM inserted, there IS a way to take the "No Service" indicator off, via the settings.
Hold the PS button down. deselect the mobile network button.
You have made the right choice.
Now play the heck out of Uncharted and Gravity Rush. It is also of utmost importance that you purchase Killzone Mercenary and Persona 4 Golden, as well as extending your PS+ subscription.
Welcome aboard Adzin, keep in mind that most PSX games are 50 Hz, with some not being optimized for 50 Hz like the Square games.
Also, to anyone with an EU account, who have never had PS+ before, I have two 30day trial codes to give away. And I want to give them to vitabros, so if anyone is interested - just ask.![]()
Did you play Tearaway yet? Did you like it? I actually wouldn't mind having the case myself. I only have 4 physical Vita games, two of which are Dragon's Crown and one is Persona 4 Golden. Tearaway would fit in there nicely.
I have played the first level and loved what i played was like stepping back in time and becoming a kid again
I'm just trying to finish some PS plus games Ive installed as i really could do with the extra space (I'm looking at you Golden Abyss) Then i shall be right back to Tearaway
People tend to have problems with the larger sliding puzzle challenges.
That's exactly how I felt too. Such a great game.
About that spy mission dlc, it was mentioned on the PS blog this afternoon. That's the last I heard of it.
Wait what now I'm totally confused.
So I bought the maid mission pack and the military mission pack
But in the trophy information it says their is the maid pack, spy pack and special forces pack.
What did I actually buy?

Spy Mission DLC and Stick it to the Man are being looked into
Man, guacamelee is kicking my arse with some of the enemies and platforming. As soon as you get the doublejump and dimension change abilities, the difficulty seems to have jumped. Also crashed on me a few times in the worst places.
There is still some slowdown in the more intensive levels, even after the patch -- I had a jungle level combining "The dead are restless" with "I hear water running..." (and I was checking to see if the hidden character was at the bottom of that level in the PSVita version; he's not). I hit some slowdown in there, so it's not totally gone... but it's still much better than it was.
Yeah, the Spy pack is not on the store at all but it's supposed to be on sale too. They must have somehow accidentally removed it.
On the PS blog they said this:
Military/Special Forces is probably the same thing, yeah.

They end on 11 December, so you have enough time for them.
Not sure wether to get them myself.

just got my new vita via UPS 5 minutes ago. setting it up now. nice piece of hardware! ive only toyed with a demo unit for 30 seconds until now. the screen is really sexy.
got the amazon bundle,so ill check those games out. i felt ashamed putting the 4g card in the slot.
i have Hotline Miami on PS3 already, and a bunch of PSP/PSX games already. looking forward to getting Hot Shots Golf and a few other games, JSR probably and definitely Spelunky.
cool to ear Rogue Legacy is coming. been interested in that.
pains me to hear it. but at least it gives me an excuse to hopefully wait a few weeks to see if a sale comes up this month. bought it at full price twice already.
we'll see if i can hold out for a bit here...
I just noticed on the EU store that the Gravity Rush DLC is (finally!) discounted. However, the Spy pack is nowhere to be seen for some reason, just the Military and Maid ones. Anyone know what that's about?
I got the shits with this backlog issue (a mess of my own making) so I've promised myself that I'm going to go a game at a time for a while and put some solid time into completing some of these games.
Thanks hubb for the thread recommendation, I'll dive in on this - December is a good month to polish off some of these games.
My impressions of the 2000 model....
My impressions of the 2000 model are that it's nearly perfect. It actually makes the first Vita, which I thought had a very elegant design, feel like a clunker. The new one's really slim, and it still manages to not feel flimsy or small. Contours are perfect, and it just feels so much more natural in my hand. It's actually slim enough to feel more tablet-y, if that makes any sense.
The face buttons feel slightly clickier, more responsive, they even made the old dpad feel better than it already was. And dear lord it's nice to have a start/select that's easy to mash now. The angle on the triggers feels better to me for some reason, too. Battery life is supposed to be better, but it feels like it's going about the same rate on my first charge.
So the issue that keeps it from being all-the-way perfect is, of course, the LCD. It's still sharp as can be, and bright. But I notice the loss of vibrance every time I try a new game. In fact, the top brightness level makes me wish it could go a little more, it definitely feels a little "off" if you're used to the OLED. But......the new design actually holds more importance to me right now than the loss of colors that burn your eyes out. I played enough to just get into the game and felt the experience was just better all around. Plus, for people like me who left grease on the screen whenever you touched it, the new screen is like all my other touch devices, swiping leaves no trace. I played through Tearaway on my old one and the screen needed to be wiped off after nearly every big event, so this is a cool improvement. I bought both PSP models long ago, and this revision kind of kicks the pants off that one. Where that came off as a cheap revision, this is definitive to me.
Could somebody run down the restrictions one would have if they chose to import a PS Vita TV?
This is my first post here on neogaf so I wanted to make it count. I'm a proud VitaBro and I've been lurking any and all Vita threads over the past 4 months before joining. I recently picked up Spelunky which I disliked at first but eventually came to love it. Its great for quick runs even though 98% of them end up being pointless, back at 1-1 (so far!). Today I snagged Rainbow Moon and I'm digging it. It also looks fantastic. Love my Vita so much, its just bursting with awesome games lately and its only going to get better.
Would some of you mind posting what your favorite PS1 classics are and what your favorite Vita PSN games are (indie games I guess you would classify them as).
I also am interested in what PSP games you would consider are the best to pick up. I like everything but sports games.
I constantly see these games on the PS store while browsing with my Vita. I can't trust the user reviews because I've honestly never seen a game rated below 3.5-4 stars (seriously, what is up with that?). I never owned a PS1 or a PSP and don't follow the Vita indie scene much.
Did they use an oleophobic coating? I slapped a screen protector on it before even turning it on so I haven't been able to tell, but very awesome if so. Completely agree about the contours, the extra matte texture of the back makes it really easy to grip too.snip
On the US PSN, xenogears, front mission 3, vagrant story, chrono crossWould some of you mind posting what your favorite PS1 classics are and what your favorite Vita PSN games are (indie games I guess you would classify them as).

Atlus is also having a decent sale on most of their PSP games right now too, I recommend growlanser and persona 3 portable at $10 a pop
Thanks.
Also, I should have mentioned this before. One of my favorite RPG's is Grandia 2 on the Dreamcast. I just LOVED the combat in that game. Do you all know of any other RPG that had combat just like Grandia 2's??? Would love to be able to pick up something like that on PSN for my Vita.

Finally picked up a Walking Dead bundle for my brother and threw it under the Christmas tree. Quick question for my fellow Vita owners. I have an old 16GB memory card I used before I upgraded to the 32. I'm going to give it to my brother. Should I wipe it now or is he able to wipe it and make it his own as soon as he sticks it into his Vita?
...if you are going to replay the campaign, give it a try with headphones and no map (or much UI at all). Plays a lot differently.
That's a cool idea. I liked the sections where your map was kicked out in the story mode - instantly ramped up the difficulty and tension.
