Yep spent about 30min looking for iron found about 10 ore lol I will try again tomorrow
Yeah if the picks can break I expect to not be making high tier picks very often.
They don't break. They just run out of durability and start sucking until you pump them back up.

I ... think I just died of smoke inhalation. I think the cavern I was digging in filled up with too much smoke (was digging underneath my house, doors not open, torches everywhere) and I died.
That's kind of awesome.
Sure it wasn't of cold? The screen gets foggy when you are cold.
Damn, that's really nice Retro. How do you make the support beams flip to the other side?
You can also warp to your party members ship.
fuck it. bought it. shouldnt have. fuck it.
So this is a good game guys? Terraria in space? Or is it more in depth than that?
A lot more in depth. I'm having a ton of more fun in the first few hours than I ever have in terraria.
Although you're wayyyy too weak early on.

Good to hear. I've been starving for depth in games lately. Can you customize your ship?
Silver Ore seems impossible to find on my starting planet, I've mined a decent amount and scanned a good bit of the surface as well. Iron, Copper, Coal, all abundant. I found a few Silver on the surface right as I dropped into the world and nothing since. Hopefully this update will just make a bunch of deposits I missed visible. I did find a chest with a cool sword that shoots fireballs though so that ain't so bad.
More depth, though if you've played Terraria you'll grasp the basic concept quickly; uninhabited planet full of thinks that want to kill you, lots of digging, crafting, building, exploring, combat. The addition of multiple planets (and by multiple, I mean over 400 quadrillion planets) means there's lots of room for surprises, something Terraria lacked with it's limited, "earthbound" approach. You can stumble across all sorts of procedurally generated towns and dungeons, little encounters (seen cultists, robotic blacksmith hermits, avian trading camps)... and who knows what else. The game is massive and the developers have said their goal is rapid content updates.
The limits of what's in the game aren't immediately clear yet. People have been finding all sorts of weird shit. And they haven't even added in an entire race, fossils or pets yet.
i found exactly 1 piece of silver ore in nearly 10 hrs of play. the stuff must be way deeper or something.
How do you up the durability? I couldn't figure it out.
Does anyone know if I would die if I jump in here? It took too long to get down here to risk it.![]()
No, you'll be fine.
YOU'RE ALREADY DEAD
I died. Time for a 45 minute trip back to hell.
I was being sarcastic.

Is there a purpose to sleeping?
Is there a purpose to sleeping?
Is there any ETA for the new update? Like 30 minutes, couple hours?
I've found 3 tech blueprints and they've all been Energy Dash
While cool, I've killed myself with it more than once when frantically tapping wasd to escape something or make a precise jump
everytime I press "Launch Starbound" it loads the Chucklefish logo and then freezes there. I can't get past it into the game.... anyone have any suggestions for how I might be able to progress?
Could I have one of your spares?![]()
I threw down another 3000-ish single blocks on the super-scientific sky road extending to the east from the starting point and haven't looped around the planet yet.
sure if you can host a server, you can PM me the info if you like
I figured it was the time of the year for caroling. Guess not everyone has an appreciation of music.
