Show us your gaming setup: 2013 Edition

Dude with the most money definitely wouldn't win a gaming setups contest.

I remember last year there was a guy that posted pics of his place. I think he had some job in a recording studio or something, but he had all of this expensive stuff like a car from Jurassic park, a giant cage with some ocelots in it, this weird looking gaming chair, etc etc. There was a lot of nice stuff, and the house was huge but it looked thrown together and boring. Reminded me of Jesse Pinkman's place.

Anyway, Chittagong: gaming setup world champion for life!

I'm a design junkie like Tabris, but I rather spend time in Silly Eskimo's man cave. Just looks like loads of fun on a rainy day or Lazy Sunday.

What do you mean by sectional? Both the shelves are from Ikea.

The last sentence of my reply was for someone else lol.

Thanks. I am excited! We started a remodel/ renovation on our house in July. It will be finished sometime in January. My man cave is coming along nicely. The only thing I will not have that I wanted was hardwood floors. It may be ok, because I am going with a special seating arrangement and carpet will help it. I will have pics, but here are some of my highlights.

Sony 55w900a led tv
Sony soundbar with wireless sub (went with this for room size purposes)
In wall shelves (that were framed to house the games with minimal extra dead space)
Sony ps4
Xbox one
Wii u
Sony Ps3 (for the games and the 3d)
Comfy sack 7.5 foot lounger (black)
Club chair (black)
Fingerprint scanner for door (keep out the kids)
Besta entertainment center from ikea (white)

Pics coming soon as I start to put everything together once we get the go ahead to move back in.

That makes sense, no problem.

I agree that the best set up is definitely not about how much money you have. It's about the aesthetics on the items you own, the layout, cable management and general usage of space.

Here's my new TV with the PS4. Only system I have right now and I'm fine with that. Again with the 10 year old digital camera lol.

Is the vertical stand available where you are yet? The PS4 looks much better that why (see my pic for reference) and would be a lot better layout wise for your setup. The only downside is the disc drive is definitely a bit louder on that orientation.

Here is mine, not the best! Been very tempted to get wooden flooring after seeing all these pictures!!

You should go vertical with the console so the TV doesn't have to sit at an angle. Unless you want it that way, of course.

Yeah, I had it vertically at first, but the angle of the TV actually has nothing to do with the PS4.

It's the small size of the room.

This picture was taken from the back of the room. I sit on the bed when playing, which is why the TV is angled as such.

Ahh, dorm room life. :-)

Seriously every time I see your room, it's so great. It's just got so much character for such a small room. You pack all this stuff in but it just looks nice and not overcrowded at all.

Thanks for the kind words. I rearrange it pretty often and constantly throw things out.

Did not know they hada wii U stand... hmmm... might have to look into that.

Stand comes with the premium pack but you can buy it separately. Be warned that they actually leave permanent scuff marks on the console (the height of incompetence when official add-ons damage each other).

Hey i hope you don't mind me asking but i noticed you have the Sony MDR-1R headphones and was wondering if the inline-mic works on the DS4??

I'll give it a try later.

Thank's alot, much appreciated.

On Topic: Loving your room, playful yet tasteful aswell.

Makes me realise how damn boring my room is, yet unwilling to change it up cause i am planning on moving within the next year or 2.

Here's is what I got. I can't wait for 2014.

What do you use for the lighting?

I bought an led light strip off of ebay. You can also buy them on amazon. They are pretty sweet as you can change the colors to almost anything including strobe lights. just search on amazon, "LED Light Strip 5050" it should come up
