I finished the game like 6 hours ago, and thought it was splendid, even though there are a few things I didn't like.
For instance, and that's the biggest problem, most cases seem rather predictable? The first and second case were basically spoiled in the anime intro, and the third one had a obvious strange character in it (especially because of his smile). I'm not sure if I'm wrong here but I think many other characters of the old games were less easy to see through. The best thing about solving those case was always, that you had this abstract picture of the murder in mind - in AA5 you always had a certain character in mind which was a) spoiled or is b) obviously the murder; killed a lot of the tension I had during the game, and thankfully case 4 + 5 did it much better
The voice over isn't the very best either - Apollo and Athena sound okay, Phoenix and Edgeworth sound horrible. But oh well, at least they've reached new heights of quality with all the anime cutscenes which look great in 3D.
The good stuff: it's still a Ace Attorney game, and a freaking good one, too. Hearing the different music titles, the sound effects, using the various techniques to expose secrets, the whole UI and the plot progression is so nostalgia-fueled awesomeness that it's hard to withstand its charm. I think presentation-wise this is easily the best looking and sounding Ace Attorney game to day; I don't know how Capcom managed to create those 3D models and have such a stable framerate, but they did it and it looks fantastic. They easily ooze as much style as the old 2D sprites and I want to see more of that
Also, a huge plus point for me is one certain character, who always managed to put a smile on my face when he had the chance to talk: the judge. I know that there are way better developed characters in the whole franchise, but this dude kills it in almost every scene. Him talking about his past as
judicial monster, having a hawk sitting on his bald head, asking Ms. Blackquill why she was interested in Ms. Cykes (lol), telling Phoenix he is disappointed since they both weren't good with technical stuff and now that Phoenix is he feels abandoned, being disappointed to not get invited to Lucy's party - I always lost it when this character was on display :lol
The humor is very good!
Oh, and you get a bunch of quality gaming time with the money you have to pay - I feel like the 25 euros have been spent quite well with this title
All in all, a must-have game for every AA fan

Really liked Fulbright as well, and then that crazy ass twist out of nowhere
