No Man's Sky announced - Hello Games (VGX)

Easily the best thing they have shown so far.

If it can live up to its ambition it'll be exactly what I've wanted from a game in years.

Ok I finally got to see it and it definitely looks way too ambitious to be an indie game, which is a good thing for me. I want them to reach higher than the typical shit they've been sticking to in the past few years.

I just don't know how fun it'll be in the long run. I'm not much of an "immersion" guy, there needs to be a deep game there too.

Nah, I'm with you. Trailers that promise more than he game delivers is the norm, not the exception.

Plus it wasn't really clear what you do in the game...explore, sure, but how? Just by flying your ship around shooting stuff?

I'm always sceptical when it comes to procedural generated stuff. At first your mind gets blown by the scope of it but once you realize that everything kind of looks the same, it becomes boring fast.

I'm not, when it's (procedural generation) applicable and done well I prefer it.
 
This is what I expected from Bungie with their trailers for Destiny, they should take notes.

Game looks REALLY interesting, can't wait to hear more.
 
Even though I'm not blown away it certainly looks way more interesting than Destiny, mainly by not being not all about competitive shooting.
 
This looks really good. I hope it delivers at least a good part of what was shown.

I still can't forget how Spore turned out :(
 
I'm not hyped for it as I need to know a lot more about what we've seen and if there if something fun to be had behind it.
Hopefully Jeff and Brad can explain it well on Tuesday's Bombcast

Except for the fact that this game is trending worldwide on twitter, no one with a console cared. RIGHTTT.....
 
Even the title is boss.

This is the game that I hoped Destiny was going to be ... just imagine No Man's Sky with Bungie's budget and resources.
 
Game sounds amazing but I have doubts that a 4 man team can pull something this ambitious off.

I'm probably just pessimistic but I expect a game that is a mile wide, but an inch deep.

Oh come on :lol I'm sure plenty of people will be interested in this game, no matter the platform.

I play primarily on consoles and think looks really intriguing. Always up for a good sci-fi game.

Seeing that moon large moon/planet in the sky. I wonder if the game has tides; you'd think they'd be pretty big tides given the size of that moon. Hopefully at least the phases of moons will be accurate in relation to the light source.
