Tier Whore
The fish clearly did not have advanced CoD fish ai which disappointed me, not sure if I will buy it now.
True, but that fish AI seems somehow take 75% of all the juice available from your console/pc

But it's 6am in London !!Do It!
I wonder if Shaid was trying to skype them after the reveal.
It's like if Noctis was actually good looking.
Htown, don't be stupid. Nobody else remembers Noctis.
If this is the game that the trailer and developer promises, then wow, next gen in the truest sense.
PC only I assume?
Is there any word of platforms yet?
If it was online only i would have 0 interest in it. i dont mind if it as mp in in, but not as the only option.
Same with Star citizen, don't really care about the persistent universe, but i'm looking forward to the sp campaign and setting a a local server for me to play on.
I hope devs get the "online universe" fetish out of here system soon. Destiny, The Division, Deep Down, Titanfall etc. It's one of the reason's I'm holding back from jumping into next gen. It's one thing if it's f2p which I'm not a big fan of to begin with. But I'm not spending money on a disk that's dependent on connecting to your servers which you'll eventually turn off.
If they can't force system level drm on a console, force us to use their servers to play their games. Fuck that.

so anyone else find it weird that this seems to be the generation of questionable mid/low tier developers redeeming themselves?
not saying Joe Danger was bad, put a lot of hours into it on PS3 but this is very ambitious compared to what they did then.
I thought about making a thread but I tend to shy away from such things, but basically here are 3 developers that have or are creating some of my most wanted next gen games and some of their previous work. Hopefully this is a trend that continues.
Hello Games - next/current:No Man's Sky - previous: Joe Danger, Joe Danger 2
Double Helix Games - next/current: Killer Instinct, Strider - previous: Battleship, GI Joe ect
Tequila Works - next/current Rime - previous: Deadlight
The 2 best kinds of videogame hype are:
1. Crazy ambitious games
2. New IP from an "already established as great" developer. (this can also count for massively improved sequels)
LIVE in that hype, man. It only comes along once every so often. You will be disappointed sometimes, but the journey is so good.

Now I find myself wondering. If you can land, get out of your ship, and explore... Can someone come up and steal your ship?
Looks absolutely incredible.
Sadly, its probably a long ways out.
Comparing Hello Games to Double Helix and Tequila works takes such a logical leap to connect the 2 I get the impression that you really want it to fit a narrative.
I mean, come on, Hello Games has 4 people. Stuff like Joe Danger is completely expected from a team that size and is even good considering the budget. Something like No Man's Sky is so ambitious that you begin to wonder if they robbed a bank to get the money to fund the project.
PS4, Xbox One & PC.
I'm guessing that he's already seen it since this tweet for Friday matches the game rather well

Are you an insider or something? As of now we have no information on platforms, unless I missed something.
Ahh interesting. I wonder if they brought it to him to check out, or how that went down. (if No Mans Sky is what he is referring to).
If I get burned I'm coming for you.
It seemed like quite a few people saw this early. I saw Brad Shoemaker mention it as the show was running that he was just waiting to see it pop up.
Is there any word of platforms yet?
I'm pretty sure it's going to be on everything, at least eventually. Over the last 12 months they've supported, or are working on supporting, Linux, iOS, Android, Vita, Steambox in addition to consoles and PC.

Four person dev team.
I hate this procedural shit. How about Developers actually start paying attention to things like level design and actually make an effort to specifically tailor levels for maximum enjoyment. Procedurally designed levels and areas will never ever be as good.

OMG you guys, I can't wait for this game! This will be so awesome!
Oh. So, vaporware, then?
Correct me if I am wrong, but Minecraft had basically two people working on it at the start. Notch, a music/sound person (C418), and maybe one other person helping occasionally.OMG you guys, I can't wait for this game! This will be so awesome!
