Most angry you have ever been playing a videogame?

My brother shit talking me while winning in Super Smash Bros. Melee. We're both pretty competitive at the game, and surprisingly evenly matched. It's the only time I can recall I've thrown my controller and refused to talk to him for the rest of the day.

1.V-joe red hot mode.
2.SSF4 2 years ago I threw my stick, opened my xbox and snapped the disc.My fiance was screaming no baby please,I like watching you play.lol.

League of Legends, by far.

I quit a few times and recently started playing it the last 2 days and I quickly remembered why I play fighting games. I can't stand being so depended on my team mates to do well. If top or mid feeds their lane or their jungler, then you lose out on a ton of options and depending on the champion, you can't avoid not dying. Our team can be ahead and I'll have to sit there telling my team to group up and get objectives for 20 mins. No one listens and they get caught and die. Moments later, the other team eventually wins the game. GG

I don't me started on the feed and quit or *I'm playing this lane and fuck you and this team's opinion*.

If you played this game, you'll know what this part is. I tossed my controller at a wall...

I didn't get angry over losing in an online game in a long time, annoyed yes but not really angry.

These days im mostly frustratet when i come across difficulty spikes and unfair shit in games that i liked up to that point. Sometimes i ragequit the game but usually fire up the game again the next day.

NHL 11 online versus. I was playing this total scrub in a ranked match. I'm setting up legit plays in the offensive zone, laying the body, utilizing my defense very well, poke checking at the right moments and overall playing a well executed game.

Other guy just pinches in the neutral zone, poke check poke check poke check and doing all these bullshit spinoramas in my defensive zone.

He's scoring fluke goals, tripping me up constantly, and living off of King Henrik's stellar play. Absolutely PISSING me off. He scores with three seconds left to go ahead 4-3.

By shooting from his goal line, bouncing off the end boards behind my net, and Backstrom goes out to play it but instead it bounces off his skates and goes in.

Afterwards the guy sends me a message saying "Good gaem looser. Nxt time chose better teem".

I spike my controller on my floor. It snapped in half. I never played NHL 11 online again.

BF3 and BF4, I used to be a machine at FPS but now that they have dirt, dust, flare, water dropplets, foliage, sparks, etc etc

I simply cannot see where enemies are, I just get killed in 2 seconds and then respawn and repeat.

Just thew my mouse and gave up, im done with modern FPS :(

Easily Everquest. I once picked up my chair and hurled it across the bedroom right into the wall. That was a tough one to explain to the 'rents.

Vanilla SF4. Was a complete button masher n00b but jeez 2nd round Seth on normal literally made my teeth itch at how annoyingly cheap he was...also trials...especially charging trials smh...

Most recently I threw my controller (first time ever at that) while playing TTT2 and facing Jun Kazama...horrifying juggles smh...

Halo 3. The BR's spread was pretty awful and when it was combined with the netcoding of that game, it made for some very infuriating moments.

Yes, but only because I was just so into that game when it was out and active. I cared a lot (probably too much) about how I did in that game competitively so it led to some rage moments.

But I love it to death. Favorite game of all time.

I was playing CoD MW2 and some fucker killed me and took my care package. I raged hard and got another one. This was the first time I've ever touched a CoD game.

I don't really recall a time I've gotten overly pissed about a game but I've had some moments of frustration that I recall having lately.

-The first experience of the archers in
Anor Londo
on Dark Souls
-BF4. Can't stand when people go in opposite directions of the objective.
-
The Trials of Archimedes
pre-patch from God of War: Ascension

Final Fantasy VII. Final Fantasy freaking VII. Wandering around the world, killing monsters left and right, no issue. Find a new island, decide to explore it. Of course, random battle.

"Wait, why are my attacks doing crap for damage? Guess I'll try magic."
Next turn...
"Wait, why do I have no magic on any of my characters?"
Grind through the battle, my irritation ever growing. Pull up the materia screen.
"WHY IS ALL MY MATERIA MISSING AND WHERE DID YUFFIE GO?!"

Finally make it to the village where I find a chest containing some materia...LOLNO, Yuffie swoops down and steals that as well. I very nearly punched the TV and rage-quit, but held myself back just enough in check to only grab a nearby (thankfully empty) pop can, crush it, and chuck it as hard as I could across the room screaming threats at Yuffie the whole time.

This happened at an all-night gaming party at a friend's house, where several of my buddies who had played the game before had a great laugh at my expense.

YESSSSS. I actually think I posted this in another thread about rage inducing moments. Holy shit, forget my other post this takes the cake.

I never actually finished the game because I never got past that fucking part. Just thinking about it makes me angry haha.

Star Fox 64, was trying to beat a record in a stage (something with armada I think), and I missed an easy group of enemies in the middle. I ended up grabbing the controller and jumping while spiking the controller into the ground. The analog stick never worked in it again.

Various Battlefield games.

I play the objective. Match starts I race to objective. I notice I'm alone but support should be coming, right?. I take out the initial tank by myself and capture the objective. I hold it while taking out two more tanks and half an army worth of enemies and before getting overrun form multiple sides. I look around to see where my teammates are. They're back at base. My team has been back at base the whole fucking time circlejerking themselves for whatever goddamn reason. We lose the objective. We lose the match. Fuck you team.

Soul Calibur 2 on Gamecube. I was like 15 or 14, i remeber i was doing this really hard part of that game and like my cousin was leaving so she went to my room to say bye to me and i exploded with a very rude and sarcastic "bye", she was offended because she resoponded the same way and stormed out the house... i felt like an ass hole afterwards...

Spiderman 3 on PS2, trying to find spider emblems. Oh my God all I wanted was a damn black suit spidey. OMFG mirror land rugrats level on PS1. Not only was I pissed off, I was dizzy and had to keep hearing the repetitive catch phrases over and over while I tried to figure out what the hell was going on.

World at War on Veteran

Try BO1 on veteran with the infinite enemy spawns in that one stage with the huge hallways. You'll definitely want to play that one!

any time someone scores on me during extra time on Fifa. especially if it's to either tie or give them the lead.

no other game/situation makes me as mad as Fifa can.

as tony horton once said, "i hate it, but i love it."

NES: Rygar or Deadly Towers. Some crazy, old-school, one hit cheapness in those games.
More recently, I found KZ: SF tremendously infuriating as I just wanted to rush to see the end of that horrid story. (Yes, I play shooters for the set-pieces and 'story', and never touch MP; I know that my behavior is unusual.) KZ: M was a far, far better game from start to finish.

Edit: Oh and of course people playing terribly in MMORPGs when I'm tired and too cranky to "teach". I'll usually just drop the group. I don't rage-out or start name calling, so at least its a dignified exit.

The first and only time I've ever thrown and broken a controller out of rage was playing one of the later tracks in Jak X. Other than that, the angriest I've ever been was playing Modern Warfare 2 online and failing hard because the connection (PS3 wireless) and lag was so bad that it was literally unplayable. A more recent one is when I was playing a bike race in GTA Online and a car ran smack into me (it looked intentional as well) near the beginning, ensuring a last place finish almost from the word go.

I've done em all on veteran and WaW was the worst IMO.

Yes I do hate myself why do you ask

I smashed a GC controller fighting that Rugal boss in Capcom vs SNK 2 EO back in the day, you can open it on the side now but it still works. Sadly they stopped using Nintendium from the Wii onwards.

More recently Hearthstone regularly makes me rage, harder than any online FPS, Dota or whatever. I don't even know why I keep playing that shit.

You know the part in The Force Unleashed where you have to bring down a star destroyer with the force but the controls are broken? Well, it resulted in my controller being broken.

Probably no one will remember this, but the typhoon stage in Karate Kid on the NES. After 2 hours of trying to complete that stage I was ready to set my console, my TV, and myself on fire.

Edit: Here's that son of a bitch . . .

The Tomb of Giants in Dark Souls pissed me the fuck off. The game went too far with that level. It was too sadistic. Later I found a shortcut that let me skip most of it so it's not so bad anymore.

I absloultly loved that level man. It was so crushingly bleak. Anyway nothings ever made me so angry I've thrown anything or punched something but i was devestated when my final fantasy ix save was wiped. I started again and got a little further and my console died.
