Assault Gunners:

Another one who liked Assault Gunners :) i want it(i played the demo) :(

It really does. It's strange how, for some reason, the Guacamelee screens, out of all of the 2D Vita games, has screenshots that look more washed out.

The funny thing is, I'm looking at these screens on the Surface Pro, which has fantastic color density, so the screens actually all look really good. Even non-quoted.
It's simple:

1)Vita's screen is only 5 inches, all the screens you see here are way bigger than what they really are on vita, even the non-native res games look better(but the lower resolution is noticeable anyway though)
Just look at this (bad)picture

And i have a notebook with 12 inches screen! Most of you look at >15 inches monitors/notebook screens!

2)For some reason vita's screenshots are HEAVILY compressed, sometimes they do no favor to the game they represent.

3)I dunno on the lcd model, but on the oled colors are way better, screenshots on pc look more plain and less colorful than the game really is on vita.

Well, duh. I know that. lol. It's just that Guacamelee screens always look so washed out. It's not the resolution, but the actual color. When I look at them on my Vita screen and Surface Pro, which have better color contrast than my shit work monitor, they look much more vibrant and pop.

I tried to post a screen of me remote playing ICO...I cant.and I understand why now..realized it would be a big security risk....

This thread has made me want to swap my Vita with my son's 3DS for a week or 2. Gotta get the new Mario and Zelda games. And OoT in 3D?? Anyway on to the screens:

Its a shame its super easy to get pics off the Vita and so many hurdles for the 3DS. The Vita has a content manager app, install it to your PC and you can connect your Vita by Wifi or USB to your PC. I just have a wifi router, it sets it up kinda like a remote connection to the PS3. Also thanks to this thread...I now know I can take screen shots...lol. I havent updated my sons' 3DS yet, also didnt know it could do screenies too...lol.Make me wonder what else I dont know about the Vita and 3DS. And its nice to see some actual love for the Vita.. These are 2 great handheld systems, each has their strengths.

I also agree with those saying anyone who doesnt have a Vita ...get the orig with the OLED screen. Colors will look better IMO.

It's normal, It happens with every vita game, on screenshot colors look more washed out and plain, look at these(os screenshot vs cam screen)

It's not the best example but it makes visible some of the differences in shades(look at the blue ones of the car), contrast etc, on vita games look "deeper" and more colorful.

Your Vita screen shots will look the same if you use a "vivid" color mode on your monitor or output the images to a plasma tv. Vita games are only hyper-saturated because of the Vita's OLED screen. PSP games on the system have the option to display colors that make them appear less saturated like how they appeared on the original PSP.

I bet the LCD screen on the new models are tweaked towards a more saturated color scale to make the games look the same.

I forgot to mention that those are not my screen, i took them from a ridge racer thread, posted by dark10x

Seems Breath of Fire 4 can't be 'snapshot'-ed. I tried multiple times yesterday but no luck. I have the NTSC/US ver., has anyone been able to take screenshots?

So I dug through my flickr account and here they are

Oddworld: Stranger's Wraith: A really wonderful port. Native Res+30fps

Switch Galaxy [PSM]. Twitch based game. Runs with a few dips. Native vita and ps4 incoming.

I know this is four screenshots, and two of them aren't from a current gen handheld but I think it's a neat comparison.

VT4 is one of the platform's best ports. It's content complete, 60fps, native res, and has additional content.

When I first played this...this part creeped me out real bad. And scared my lil girl, think she was 2 at the time. I HATE spiders....

I took this screenshot a while back. I remember re-playing the scene a few times just so I could show people how awesome it was.

Hard to complain about a double post when it's killzone with no ui (great way to play the campaign btw). Can't beat those shots really, but still so many games not been shown off.

^
Dang, Pure Chess looks amazing. This thread is awesome, it's great that Vita's screenshots are now less compressed. I might dust my Vita off and actually buy something, lol.

Big Sky Infinity (access Stats screen before playing game):

Any games in particular you want shots of?

Wait what? When did they ease up on the compression?
