Eh, I would say they were liars honestly.. I don't know a single guy that wouldn't be turned off by chest hair (though I'm sure some find it attractive) excess hair has been ingrained heavily in all of us to be unattractive in women, and although I know it doesn't make any sense, its still unattractive to me.

That said, arm hair doesn't bother me at all

I think many guys these days know it's an unfair standard and can look past that. And any guy who's been in a long term relationship can probably attest to more hair than most see at a casual glance. ;P

I worked with a girl that had a lumberjack beard underneath her armpits at an old place we worked. The guys and I couldn't fathom why she had more hair underneath her armpits than a lot of guys had on their armpits, face or pubes. There were quite a few hirsute females at my undergrad, chicks with crab trails, bear-like forearms, hairy backs, one chick even had a moustache till she got a boyfriend.

I recall learning about diseases like PCOS and how it leads to excess body hair. A friend of mine knew a Chinese dude dating a Sri Lankan girl and he asked about where the balance of hair lay in the relationship. I hated myself for laughing at that comment and I hated myself for laughing again when he said, "surely I wasn't the only one to think this".

I'll never change as it not something I'll consciously do. My wife is not a hairy woman but she understands my likes and dislikes and grooms herself (shaves legs and armpits) and I in turn cater to her likes and dislikes by keeping no facial hair, putting the toilet seat down and killing spiders as appropriate.

I knew a girl in high school that had super dark arm hair. It felt so odd because of how thick and dark it was, not because she was a woman either. I don't think I've seen men with such thick arm hair.

Nonetheless, she was still attractive.
