AY: They can put a little bit of effort into it, otherwise its a total turn off.
Edit: I am fully expecting people to think I'm being serious.
It's a pain in the ass to shave your whole body, let me tell you ... :/
people with vaginas are entirely revolting.
I feel your pain. That couple with the anxiety and emotions attached to it. Being Spanish wih pale skin and dark thick hair... :|
Until you live with a girl and realize that the way they groomed themselves before a date or a night out actually isn't how they groom themselves day-to-day and that yes, it actually was just to please you (society) and not to please them.
which is what the OP is being called out on.

Also a little side question for people: For those of you that think its gross, do you expect your girlfriend to shave in the winter? And by shave, I mean legs, arms, armpits, any of those. I'm not talking pubic hair.
What? This has to be a regional thing.
I've never seen a woman not shave for weeks/months during the winter.
Woah... Putting a best foot forward for a date with someone she is interested in somehow ties back to society forced her to do it? Don't you think there is a simpler explanation like she likes the guy and wants to make a great first impression?
Trimming/shaving body hair should be considered a hygienic, common sense thing. It's not the end of the world if it doesn't happen but it's definitely unattractive for a lot of people. I don't get why that's so controversial? The 'it's natural' posts don't make any sense at all. Should we stop wearing deodorant too?
Man...I talked shit on Jenny McCarthy in another thread thinking I might get in trouble but flat out making a thread talking shit about what you think girls should or shouldn't do with their bodies....fuckkkk.
Nope. Can't be arsed to do the legs with any regularity in winter. I'd say it's very common among women to not bother during the cold months.
electrolysis is also pretty painful and expensive, unless you get them groupons.
Laser too.

I am surprised by the amount of men in this thread calling him out on this, as if excessive body hair on a woman wouldn't influence their attraction to them at all. That is just a flat out lie.
Way too cold to get rid of extra warmth!
Yah I'm a woman and I have hairy arms. Longish blond hair on my arms. Eastern European descent: hairy.
I de-hair my upper lip and legs and f#cking chin. It's annoying.
I don't shave my arms because I don't want it to turn into long black hair on my arms, which is what happens if you shave it (if you are me).
SORRY OP.

Post a photo of yourself so we can critique your looks plz.
Legs, definitely. I shave my armpits no matter the season. It doesn't take that long I have too many shirts/dresses that show off the underarm.
We do live in a patriarchy, and obviously women have a million valid injustices to complain about. But I don't think that the work women have to do to attract someone of the opposite sex is one of them, because I think it's much, much harder for men. Men have to lift weights, make tons of money, have high status, initiate everything when it comes to dating and have all the social skills that it takes to "pick up a girl", be tough yet sensitive, be book smart enough to make a lot of money, but also be mechanically inclined and able to work with their hands, they have be good at sports, etc., etc., etc. I could go on and on about all the things that men are expected to be and do, and how difficult all that stuff is. Shaving or waxing body hair and wearing make-up just doesn't compare to all that stuff, it's MUCH less difficult. Why do guys like 'Mystery' exist? Why are there TV shows designed to teach men how to talk to women? Why? Because it's so difficult and complex for a man to get a woman, It is not difficult or complex for a woman to get a man, it's actually very easy. I don't know what you women are complaining about when it comes to this. You have it very easy.
Literally, sometimes!Armpits are easy. Legs those bloody ankles and the knees not so much.

The point is that "making a good first impression" for some reason mandates that level of grooming in the first place.

I was talking to a random girl tonight at a party and I noticed right away she had REALLY hairy arms. No biggie kind of gross, but then I saw her shirt open a little and I saw little black hairs coming up from her chest. Ohhhh there are a lot of things I can tolerate on a women but body hair is just nasty. I notice a lot of girls have mustaches too

Honestly, I don't resent women. They have it very hard in most societies. I just think that in this one case it's harder for men.
