That's why I would add people's NNID that I know who they are and I will make sure that they will play for long time before ditching SSB4.
Yeah, he's right about IRC. You can ask for some matches during weekdays or weekend depend on your schedules.
That may have been the catalyst, but they did it because neither company lost anything from it and just gained extra publicity/word of mouth. SSBB even had content from MGS4 to promote it.
I'm kind of indifferent on his return anyway, but I don't think he's out of contention. He ended up not being in PSASBR after all.

IIRC he begged Sakurai to put Snake in Melee, but it was too late.
GCN ended up getting MGS Twin Snakes. Snake isn't entirely irrelevent to Nintendo history.
I wish Wii U could get a Twin Snakes reprint + HD Collection!

I'm not used to see Wario under Mario main series.
This is my prediction rooster if sakurai is feeling generous.
Most notable is Zelda alone, Impa as the new sheik, Ike substituted by Chrom and Lucario substituted by Mawile and Snake is substituted with Pacman
Both fire emblem and pokemon had a history of representatives getting cut in favor of newer games, so Chrom and Mawile (who is part fairy and has a mega evolution) fits better.
I was between Mawile and Gardevoir, but Mawile looks he could fit better in a fighting game.
I doubt I will get the newcomer right, but missing Sukapon is a bigger omision than Little Mac since he is part of Nintendo first fighting game.
I ALMOST put Urban Champion dude there because of how Nintendo LOVES to put tha game everywhere but... =P
Mallo is there to represent downloudable games.
Takamaru because of Nintendo land obviously and Little Mac because why not ?

Someone else showed this picture, and I thought it was great, so I wanted to post it here.
I love the characters' expressions. Though I won't notice them when playing matches, but taking screenshots and then posting them on Miiverse or GAF would be fun to do.
My personal favorite upgrade following Brawl (which was pretty dang good in this area, but doesn't touch this).
Iiiii dunno....I mean, Blood Falcon has the same body type as CF, so why inherit Ganny's heavy, slow stuff?
Ike was a fast and agile swordsman in Fire Emblem, and then Brawl happened. I just want Captain Falcon's clone to be a literal clone, really.
Gotta be Black Shadow, heavy and slow is his forte.
But in reality we won't get another F-Zero character.
I think they should just change up Dorf but keep some of his good stuff like the chokegrab and meteor smash. Punch can easily go because nobody uses it, should be an energy ball that can be redirected and grows stronger/faster with each redirect. Imagine and improvised game of countering the energy ball back and forth in the middle of a match.
If I had ANY input I would cut ZSS of metroid history.
It representes everything I hate about Metroid
But I doubt they will change it in smash =/
Erm... Why do you hate ZSS? If anything, she embodies one of the greatest twists in all of gaming -- Samus is a girl! I think it's great they added ZSS to Brawl, since it helps establish the character better with mainstream audiences who might not know there's a girl under all that armor.

You're free to dislike certain renditions of it, but it's as much Samus as her armor.

At first I was honestly a little sad about no direct Skyward Sword looks for the Zelda crew but in all honesty, I can deal. As long as they get their movesets looked over with care that's more than good enough. Also if the Phantom is a hint at them taking more inspiration from the more current end of the series instead of sticking with the older Smash incarnations, I'm down.
Hopefully Ganondorf gets a lot of new toys to play with. Thunderstomp and Flame Choke can stay though, they're like way too good not to. I'm also kinda partial to Warlock Punch since it fits the whole "brutish magician" theme he's got going on, but I'd definitely be interested in seeing something like the tennis ball projectile someone suggested earlier in these last few pages.

Oh that's a great idea. That's a Zelda tradition right there. It's fucking iconic.
Here's an idea for a way to keep all of Ganondorf's current moves while adding the tennis ball projectile:
- Tap B to start a Warlock Punch, and let the animation finish to execute the move. In other words, Warlock Punch remains the same.
- Tap B to start a Warlock Punch, but tap B again while the fist is charging to cancel the punch and hurl the tennis ball projectile instead.
Although this might "break" the move by allowing Ganondorf to punish with an energy ball those who try to hit him/elude him during the punch wind-up.

Yeah, but the December Direct was on the 5th instead of the 18th as it was this year so I'm worried we might not get another until February.
Better question, was it preceded by a December Direct? I'm not one that thinks because it happened once so soon, another is out of the cards, but it's always good to work with past experience.

If they went with Impa that may be a way to help better represent SS. As for the other part, I don't see it as representing new games over old ones when the majority of the older moves poorly represented the character.
As for Ganondorf I've always thought a transformation into Ganon wielding his trident. His trident could launch powerful energy balls that players could hit back at him if given time. His trident would make a good item as well which would allow the same thing.
