Any region lock if I'm buying from Amazon? I can't view this game on Steam that's for sure. I'm just concerned that if I were to buy this but it may fail to activate on Steam.

I was just about to say that I really want to use the DS4 for this game. Oh well, will have to settle for the 360 pad.
The drivers work great on PC (I think wireless requires Windows 8, though), so if you ever want to get one, know that you won't have any problems getting it working.
I've read about it and I've tested them out in store, I want one but they are just too expensive to justify.
I probably won't get a PS4 until 2015 or 2016 either.

The unofficial drivers work just fine, you can even use the touchpad to control the mouse pointer and customize the color of the lightbar, or turn it off.
I don't even own a PS4, either. I bought it just to use as a PC controller and I couldn't be happier with it.
Previously I was using a Sixaxis (not even a DS3) with Motioninjoy, so this is quite amazing for me.
Some countries got skipped over. Use a proxy to buy from GMG, an American address from Amazon, or just buy from Gamefly.
Code will activate on Steam just fine.

It's nice to wake up and see MGR:R in the top 3.
So if Rust sold over 150,000 copies in it's first two weeks, I wonder where that would put MGR.

Unlike something like DayZ, steadily at the first spot in the last weeks, both games moved up and down a lot in the past days, occasionally passing each other, so I don't think there is any reliable way to say how their sells compare.
That said, I wouldn't expect them to be too far, but Rust *probably* sold a bit more.

I know this is a pretty stupid question but how much does MGR spoil the plot of MGS4 ? If I play it will I know the endgame of GotP ? Still haven't got around to buing the latter and as eager I'm to get my hands on slasher on PC, I want to (in a distant future) experience the 4th's plot in its whole unspoiled glory.

This isn't the first time, some reason Japanese publishers tend to screw over Steam users in Japan.

Could be a hold up on the publishers for all we know. Or literally anything else.
I guess it's funnier to imagine them randomly choosing a country and deciding not to make money there though.

Nope. It's a continuation of Raiden's story from MGS4 but you don't have to have prior knowledge of what happened in MGS4 to enjoy the plot of MGR since the enemies and allies are (for the most part) brand new.

For some reason GMG also doesn't accept my credit card, but PayPal works without any problems.

I was pretty surprised just how unneeded prior MGS is needed to enjoy MGR.
If you know Raiden is a Cyborg Ninja that's about all you need to jump into. Which surprised me since I figured knowledge of MGS2 might have been needed. Though I guess when the plans changed for what the game was and the period it was set to take place Koanmi just assumed it was a better idea as it's own thing. Which definitely wasn't a bad thing.
