God grief at the Smash purchase thread:
"I hate 3DS because the graphics"
"3DS is stealing all Wii U trophies"
"Smash on 3DS is shit"
Please, play before you judge it.
The graphics actually look pretty darn good. That outline effect.
I really want Geno to happen just so it'd blow everyone's mind.
What? So when people say: "I would like to se X in this game" are they totally stupid? Wasn't this a forum?
Don't forget "3DS makes the Wii U version get half the content" :lolGod grief at the Smash purchase thread:

Why? I'm not saying "Sakurai please, cut Rosalina/Zelda/WFT out". I'm talking about what I would like to see. I'm going to use all of them, and if they are going to be cool, I will enojy my time with the game. Why are people getting mad about this? Did it really sound so sexist? I'm sorry. No, but they are stupid when they say "I don't want to see X in this game because I don't like X", even if other people like them.
And how do you know that? I mean, Nintendo is clearly aiming to more fans since the DS, and they realized that girls like their products. In fact we see more ads with girls, more pink consoles and also more games with female characters or for girls. Super Mario 3D World has Peach and Rosalina because of that, it's clear and they said that. So when I look at Smash Bros. I see a lot more female characters than expected. And I start to think that maybe, there are reason for that, and that's beacuase they want more people to play the game. They say this everytime. Is that bad? NO. Is it what I wanted? No. BUT, in the end I already explained that the gameplay is the important thing, I know it, but is there something wrong, again, about wanting something different? I'm not boicotting. I want Shulk. But then maybe he's going to suck. Who knows?Say it with me, "THERE ARE NO SUCH THING AS SLOTS! A CHARACTER EITHER GETS IN OR DOESN'T DUE TO WHETHER THE CHARACTER IS CONSIDERED GOOD FOR SAKURAI BASED ON VARIOUS FACTORS, AND IF THERE IS ENOUGH TIME!"
I said that females in Nintendo games tend to suck, in my opinion. I said that I would be ok with Ellie from TLOU or Elizabeth from BI, but this isn't Sony of Microsoft, It's Nintendo. End.People at least back up their choices at least. You? Not so.
You haven't given me one valid reason on why there shouldn't be more women in this game. Stop filtering it by gender.
Enough female characters. I mean... stop.
Definitely a new move set. I think her staff will be her main "gimmick."
Maybe something like...
Standard attacks - graceful staff jabs/twirls, shield bashes
Smash attacks - short range bursts of light from her staff
Standard special - orb projectiles from her staff
Side special - probably something from her Uprising boss battle
Up special - floats around (like Pit's Brawl recovery, but without wings)
Down special - Mirror Shield (Pit already has a new down special)
Final Smash - Centurion Army (with Pit getting a new Final Smash)
Rosalina uses her wand to control Luma and to cast cosmic magic, Zelda summons fire and electricity from the palm of her hand, and Palutena would use her staff to cast light. There's surprisingly very little overlap between the three.
Say it with me, "THERE ARE NO SUCH THING AS SLOTS! A CHARACTER EITHER GETS IN OR DOESN'T DUE TO WHETHER THE CHARACTER IS CONSIDERED GOOD FOR SAKURAI BASED ON VARIOUS FACTORS, AND IF THERE IS ENOUGH TIME!"
The 3DS version looks incredible.

I still don't get why people think why PT would have Kalos Pokémon this time, we didn't get Sinnoh starters in Brawl. The Kanto starters were the first and most iconic. You know what
If they're gonna rep the Kalos starters
Fuck having "varied stages"
Gimme Delphox, Greninja and Chesnaught
And go all Trine in them
Honestly, I think I prefer the 3DS version's graphics. For whatever reason they look bolder, more textured -- almost hand-drawn at times. It's a really attractive look, and it clearly plays just as fluidly as you'd want it to play. It's incredibly impressive, and I seriously doubt either version is compromising the other, especially since Smash is a tried-and-true framework at this point, and the games are both being built around the same roster of characters. It's irritating. People keep shitting all ovee it because it's not on the more powerful system.
The graphics are basically the same as the Wii U game, just downgraded to work with 3DS. The models are excellent as are colours.
The games have no gimps at all, and this is very far into development.
Sure, have an opinion but these "3DS is shit", "3DS is limiting roster" comments really need to fucking leave.

Up-B grind rails. AwesomeI always figured Palutena would implement grind rails into her move set. She can create them, after all.

Oh yeah, and like Sonic's springs, everyone can use them before it disappear.Up-B grind rails. Awesome

Wow, this is an excellent idea! The grind rails wouldn't have to be her Up Special, though. In fact, it might be more fun for Palutena's Up Special to put her into a goddess "flight" mode, and for her Forward Special to have her dash forward on grind rails, closing the gap between her and her opponents, if not steamrolling them altogether.I always figured Palutena would implement grind rails into her move set. I was resistant to this idea until you framed it in terms of Trine and it all clicked. I'm only lukewarm to the Trine games but I can totally dig where you're coming from, given the warrior/mage/ninja trio formed by Chesnaught, Delphox and Greninja. You know what

Still, I'd also be cool with Chespin, Braixen and Greninja. I'd say those are generally the most popular of each evolutionary stage (among the starters), and they also each have a type advantage over their counterpart on Red's team (Chespin > Squirtle, Braixen > Ivysaur, Greninja > Charizard).
Of course, the trainer itself should be Yvonne, with her black over-the-knee socks. <3

No you weren't, you were talking about characters you do not want to see along with characters you do want to see, and then claiming some BS reasoning that the character you don't like getting in will mean the character you like won't get in.Why? I'm not saying "Sakurai please, cut Rosalina/Zelda/WFT out". I'm talking about what I would like to see. I'm going to use all of them, and if they are going to be cool, I will enojy my time with the game. Why are people getting mad about this? Did it really sound so sexist? I'm sorry.
Because Sakurai has said it in countless interviews he looks at what the characters can bring to the series, and how they can stand out. Nintendo definitely would like to get more people to play, but they won't shaft Sakurai's development policies just for that goal. And how do you know that? I mean, Nintendo is clearly aiming to more fans since the DS, and they realized that girls like their products. In fact we see more ads with girls, more pink consoles and also more games with female characters or for girls. It's utterly astounding that people are all too happy to take shits on characters they don't like being in the game or even having a chance at being in the game. Not because they're actually taking away a chance at another character or there's competition or something: You just don't like the character and can't seem to help but think "fuck all their fans, I don't like the character and therefore they're not worthy of being in Smash Bros and should be removed." I will concede that I take a few too many shits on one character (Toon Link) in a fashion similar to this, but I'm going to make a point not to do that anymore after coming to realize how obnoxious it actually is.
Shocking revelation: You are not the entire audience for the game: you pissing and moaning over a character does not invalidate all the other people that wanted to see the character in the game. You don't have to play as the character if you don't want to (at least not for an extended period of time) , and watching/ beating the shit out of something you don't like or care about isn't going to hurt you. Stop acting like this is some inexcusable affront directed at you that needs to be redressed.
Normally I can tolerate SmashGAF's nastier days, but these kind of "discussions" that pop up are basically emblematic of everything I find wrong with a lot of the posters on Gaming side: Nothing is ever "fine" or something you feel apathetic towards or needs a bit of improvement: Nay, it is either magnificent or an abomination. "Perfection", as the ideal to be pursued is only defined by what you yourself liked or cared about and not what actually addresses the needs or wants of the greatest number of people or could open up new possibilities.
Not many of you here are actually like this, but the fact that we get posters that do this stupid shit frequently enough compelled me to speak up. These sorts of arguments are never productive and after hundreds of these deals that never change peoples' minds everyone should know better than to get into them, because all they ever do is whip up bad blood in a crossover fandom already notorious for it.
I apologize if this was a tad overbearing, but this is something I have absolutely no patience for. If this is a banworthy offense, I accept my punishment.
Would be a cool recovery move.I always figured Palutena would implement grind rails into her move set. She can create them, after all.
We still have no idea how the Wii Fit stage works huh
Personally I think the final starters of Kalos work well with each other unlike the older starters. It helps that they have a theme going on that is consistent. Gen V has a theme but it's... loose (historical warriors - European royal fighter, Chinese general, Japanese samurai).
Hi kids
Yeah, the mirror alone will make the Wii Fit stage plenty interesting.I'm pretty sure that we got the concept for Wii Fit Stage. It's more of Game and Watch stage theme.
Mirror background with floating balance boards.

I'd be okay playing it like that. I haven't even used my Circle Pad Pro since MGS3D. Has support for it been confirmed yet?

It hasn't, I'm concerned about it though. What was the last game that supported it?
I don't see this post in Miiverse, but it would certainly sound like they are indeed adding the finishing touches and adding more content. This would also explain the more UI-related pic of the day. We might even be able to draw some concept or theme of how the game's UI will look, based on that background.
Well damn.Hi kids
MH3U's western release was in March 2013, but it was originally released in Japan in 2011, so it may be cheating a bit.It hasn't, I'm concerned about it though. What was the last game that supported it?
"Waifu" and discussions around that I honestly find rather insane. A character that doesn't actually exist in real life is something one deems their personal wife in which they have no communication with at all and then proceed to to have discussions about it on forums such as:
"My waifu is the most kawaii"
"Your waifu sucks"
In jokingly it's pretty hilarious, the sad part though is that people actually are serious about them being their "waifus" and mean what they say as if the character is real. Even if real it would be like calling a random person on the street your wife.
So yeah, INSANE.
...this argument was yesterdayYeah, probably.
