I loved Rugrats/it was a big part of my childhood. I can still sing songs from the show and I haven't seen it in well over a decade. It's a classic.

I like Swat Cats as well, but in a face to face..mmmm....

o/Reptar Reptar, gotta find that Reptar\o or something like that, from Reptar on Ice

As a kid I loved both Rugrats and Ren & Stimpy. As an adult seeing those cartoons I found them both rather unbearable. Just thinking to myself "wtf, to think I use to love this shit". haha - I have no problem with Swat Cats but i'm salty as hell Biker Mice From Mars got no love!

Who's that Pokemon?
Dramatic Finish?

Yes, this show is worse than whatever popular show you want to vote off next- gun for the true bottoms of the barrel!

I used my save on Pokemon and one of my kills on Eek....

I did everything I could =/

This is a farce :P

Rewatching is almost universally a mistake. It's better to let those memories just stay there unmolested.

Reboot is probably at the top of the list that no one should ever seek out now.

Kill : Arthur
Kill : Weekenders
Save : DragonBall Z

Educational aardvark leaves a bad taste in my mouth and weekenders is just shit. For why I like DBZ
WATCH NEXT WEEK ON DRAGIN BALL ZEEEEEEEE

Pokemon! Holy crap. I didn't think that would go down like that.

Yeah Pokemon seemed to have sneaked on past.
Kill: Eek! The cat. Never watched it.
Kill: Weekenders liked it but it wasn't that special.
Save: Ren & Stimpy. Still deserves to be higher on the list.

Kill: The Weekenders
Kill: Arthur
Save: Hey Arnold

I'm fine with Arthur going. I don't remember liking it as a kid. Anything to build a consensus on shows that aren't actually good :P

Neither had any business staying past Angry Beavers and Pokemon.

I actually just looked that up like half an hour ago, becasue I didn't know what it was. I think I know what needs to be removed....

It was one of the first (the first?) fully CGI cartoons, and I remember the story actually being interesting. But yeah, it looks like hot garbage now.

Some shows don't have looks or story going for them though, so those probably deserve to go first.

Surprisingly rewatching EEnE
which I'm sad got voted out before I found this thread
has graced me with a lot of things I never noticed before and its still dumb character humor I used to love. If anyone did adore the show from me I'd say its worth the rewatch.

I can't really disagree. I also feel guilty for voting to kill shows I've never seen.
However

Kill: Eek! The Cat
Kill : The Weekenders
Save: Hey! Arnold

I put on some Rugrats and Hey Arnold on Netflix a few years back and was surprised at how much fun my friends and I could have rewatching it.

TMNT didn't hold up terribly well, though. I wonder how Reboot would fair... was Beast Wars ever put back on the list?

Batman, Superman, some episodes of X-Men, and Animaniacs all work very well to me, even at age 27. The Simpsons is arguably the best television show ever produced, so it's no shock that it still works.

Anyone looking for an alliance this round? PM me if so.

Kill: Arthur
Kill: The Weekenders

Arthur was pure pbs crap and The Weekenders what in gods green earth is this

Save: Ren and Stimpy

I haven't seen EE&E since, but yeah, some shows hold up based on excellent writing/excellent source material, and can be rewatched now.

Things like Ninja Turtles, Uhh...the one with the fighting Sharks, Reboot, etc.....

Ouch.

I don't oppose the death of Arthur. That being said, I still to this day sing that theme song both at people, and too myself (somethimes). :P

Yeeeeah...

I am not looking forward to the TMNT vote. That show, in all honesty... not top 10 material for me. Is this thread filled with some TMNT die-hards who will end up killing superior shows?

You know what has some stellar episodes, though, and is in the TMNT vein? The Real Ghostbusters. But we're talking about iconic 90s shows, here.

I'm starting to get a feel for the age group hanging out in this thread based on the Pokemon kill. I'm guessing the youngest in here were just old enough to not be into Pokemon. I was almost out of high school at the height of its popularity. I only watched it to get high, put it on mute and redub it with me and friends voices.

I keep wondering ages... what's yours? I think younger posters are likely to hate something like, say, Rugrats, due to their lack of exposure to the early seasons.

Can we do a round where we all post ages with the kills/save, just for kicks?

I think that Batman TAS, Batman Beyond, Courage the Cowardly Dog, SpongeBob (Seasons 1-3+maybe the movie), Hey! Arnold, South Park (even the early episodes), the Simpsons (seasons 1-10ish), andSuperman TAS are all very rewatchable.

Fuck Street Sharks.

I only watched it to get high, put it on mute and redub it with me and friends voices.

That sounds amazing.

I'm just young enough that Pokemon was a huge thing when I was in elementary school (the game, the show, the cards, etc). I mean, since this is 90's survivor, most of these shows either came when I was in elementary or middle school. If they didn't, they were certainly aired during that time.

In other words, they were made for me, marketed to me, etc.

I agree on almost all of these. Hey Arnold held up surprisingly well to the point where my friends and I accidentally marathoned about three hours of the show.

Also, as for Superman: TAS, clips like this still work like gold. I really hope it makes the top 10.

Same here Pokemon everything in elementary school mid-laye. Watched it before school. Played a bit into Jr high.

Sure. I'm 19. How old are you guys?

Reboot is probably at the top of the list that no one should ever seek out now.

ReBoot season one is bad, season 2 is okay to pretty good and season 3 is fantastic. Season 4 was in the 2000s.

In answer to the other question, I'm 25 as of yesterday.

Kill: The Weekenders-It's not terrible or anything, but two double kill votes for Arnold from those who would save this show has forced my hand.
Kill: The Weekenders
Save: Hey! Arnold- Everyone trying to kill this off are all Stoop Kids
In answer to the other question, I'm 25 as of yesterday.

26 (27 in a week).

Just turned 23 a few days ago..

Happy early/belated birthday to all three of you guys!

Just turned 23 a few days ago. I'm in favor of killing Rugrats based on what I've watch on netflix a year or two ago. As a child, I enjoyed and watched it. BUT most certainly I refuse to believe it deserves to be up there with the likes of Batman Animated Series, Courage, The Simpson, Hey! Arnold and Animaniacs.

Happy early/belated birthday to all three of you guys!
Thank you :]

Shit, that's what I forgot to nominate. Extreme Ghostbusters.

Kill: TMNT
Kill: South Park

TMNT... There is not a bigger TMNT fan alive than I was when I was a kid. I slept in a bed with TMNT bedding while in a god damned TMNT sleeping bag for god's sake! I had every TMNT toy conceivable. A loved that show with a passion none of you could possibly understand...

2003 does Turtles in general better. 2012 does light-hearted Turtles better. 89 Turtles is the worst animated Turtles show ever made and its final seasons lost my interest even when I was a child. It's a sad show that even nostalgia can't make seem better than its successors.

South Park's 90s seasons make up the worst show qualitywise on the list right now.

Save: Weekenders

Hanging's what the Weekend's all about.

Weekenders and Arthur saves....we're off to a fantastic start :P

Weekenders did what it tried to do better than its competitors of the era (Pepper Ann and Recess).

TMNT isn't even the best show at what it was trying to do currently on the list (beaten by Freakazoid in WACKY HERO ANTICS, beaten by Gargoyles in Team of outsider heroic protectors).

I just meant that like in days prior, there's no picking two losers and just dumping on them. Arthur/Eek/Weekenders could split the vote and give us a repeat of the Pokemon fiasco :P

I like that there was talk of an alliance forming like...two days ago, and it just evaporated. It's shank or be shanked out here now.

Might just be my ego talking, but I may be partially responsible for murdering the ever loving shit out of that happening.

The only good thing I remember liking about the weekenders is that they would wear different clothes. Like I think this is the only animated tv show I have ever watched, where the main characters would change clothes.

Kill: Arnold
Kill: Arnold : Never watched it as a kid, but caught a few episodes when I was older, not my kind of thing.

Save: Weekenders : in a competition between Eek the cat, Arthur and Weekenders, I want Weekenders to win

Kill: Ren & Stimpy
Kill: Ren & Stimpy
Save: Johnny Bravo

Same as always for R&S. JB just deserves better.

kill: Ren and Stimpy
kill: Ren and Stimpy

save :SWAT Kats

Kill: Ren & Stimpy - Let's try once more :p
Kill: Ren & Stimpy
Save: Eek! The Cat - Was either this or Bobby's World to save, so yeah.

Bottom 2:
Johnny Bravo(1 kill 3 saves)
Ren and Stimpy(4 kills 9 saves)

I don't think it changes anything, but just a heads-up, Ren and Stimpy had 6 kills, not 4.

Also, here are my votes:

Kill - Eek the Cat
Kill - Eek the Cat
Save - South Park

I've dropped my crusade against Ren & Stimpy. I still think it's a shit show that is highly overrated, having tried to enjoy it as a kid and as an adult, but so be it. It isn't going to go out easy this early, so I'll leave it be for now. Never seen Eek the Cat, so I guess that seems fair to eliminate it. South Park, I enjoyed allll the way back when I was in 3rd grade and still occasionally enjoy as an adult, so I don't want it gone just yet.

Kill: Arthur
Kill: Arthur

Not my cup of tea. My daughter also does not like the books. They don't even eat ants.

Save: Pokemon

If Pokemon has taught me anything, it's to believe in miracles. YOU TEACH ME AND I'LL TEACH YOU, POOOKEEEMOOOON!!!
