I'd say the reverse is more likely, but there's a higher probability we won't see either ever again.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see them both, but MS doesn't have a history of supporting niche titles. Perhaps that will change as Sony makes things difficult for them.

So Forza is an annual franchise then? And I'm doubting Quantum Break making it to 2014. TV show and video game? Still in the dark on that whole thing.

I will say that 2014 is shaping up to be a great year though.
 
I believe Horizon 2 will be in 2015. MS already has a good selection of exclusives, and we can't forget about strong third party offerings like Destiny.

I still dream about PGR5. :(

Disagree. We haven't seen their full effort after shuffling everyone around and finally nailing down the staff. 4 had a lot of people that shouldn't be working on Halo working on Halo, a lot of them have now left. I think this game will give us the best look at what 343 can do with Halo.
 
Sunset, Halo, and Quantum Break are the games I'm most excited for. Can't wait.

They only published it. Shame, since EA probably won't do anything with it. Maybe we could get a Dead Rising 3 scenario again, where Microsoft publishes a game from a big publisher.
 
Sunset Overdrive's the only game announced for Xbox One I'm currently interested in. That trailer oozed style. I really don't want to hear E3 talk this early though. GDC, I'm fine with. But E3 a full 6 months beforehand? I don't think I can handle that, especially since this should be a pretty big one.

I do wish that MS would do more outreach to the PC scene like they used to and get some "PC games" over on the Xbox. Still don't know why so many are no revived or why old school PC RPGs don't meander over like Baldur's Gate (Controls aside... but has to be possible!! right??)

Might and magic XL? Why not?

Because Halo 4 was 343's first significant video game ever. To be honest, they got a lot of things right, like weapon feed back and things. While not the best Halo game, it is a genuinely good game, and judging by comments that Frankie has made, I believe they deserve the benefit of the doubt, for at least one more title.

Getting increasingly saucy about the industry reliance on E3 pageantry as the sole outlet to release any significant information about any titles....there are 365 days in a year, as well as plenty of other events if you still want to abide the press showcases...

Overstrike was published by EA, Sunset Overdrive is published by Microsoft, who I believe have made it clear they want new games that aren't generic shooter x (I don't consider Gears/Halo to be generic considering they were the ones that played a big part in starting the trends that followed).

Ted Price said that it was nice to have a publisher that supported their vision/style or something, I think Microsoft wanted the game because of how it looked, not that they want to turn it into something else.

Rather, more like two biannual franchises running alternately. Horizon is a completely different animal than Motorsport. I don't even like racing games for the most part, but I'm hyped for a sequel to Horizon.

The only thing that they have in common is that they're racing games. They're not even in the same subgenre. They're not even by the same developers either. Turn ten just oversaw Horizon, and something tells me that now that Playground has a full, successful game under their belts, that Turn 10 will likely be a lot more hands off this time around.

I will say that 2014 is shaping up to be a great year though.

Awesome. Planning to buy the system near Titanfall (it's been going for sub £400 in the UK, so anything near £350 I'll snap up), so that, DR3 and SO will be my jams. Maybe Halo if I get my usual co-op partner. Only way I play them.

nah it'd be one of the XBO/PC titles, but I mean, I'd think the only way they're likely to revive it is if they make a console version too, and since they have the brand, do it!

They've been working on it for quite some time now actually. Halo 4 was not even finished when they started work on it, and they are also a much larger company than they were when doing Halo 4, plus they have experience now. I think we'll get a good game out of this somehow.

Why not make it on both systems separately so that Xbox controls are built from the ground up, as well as PC controls so one is not limited by the other?

And THEN, let PC and Xbox One players play together! I mean, you don't have the difficulty you do with FPSs in this case, so why not?
 
So it's basically just titanfall for the first half (maybe 2/3) of the year. Even that's not a real exclusive.

The first episode of D4 is supposed to come out in February, Kinect Sports Rivals should be out in the spring, not sure when Project Spark or Below are coming out.
 
I think I am most excited to see some gameplay footage from Sunset Overdrive, can't wait to see what crazy stuff they have in store.
