Go by yourself!

I hate going to movies/shows by myself >_< Not that there isn't anything wrong with doing so, but I just can't do it. There's just so many unwanted thoughts that go through my mind when I'm alone that I realize I need people with me to distract me from doing that :(

I like going to movies with people so we can discuss it afterwards

But I have GAF for that now

If I were close I'd totally go with you.

I even have kids, so you would feel even less weird going to see a Disney movie :p

Learn to love it. :p

I used to feel weird about it and then I said FUCK IT because I'd miss too many movies otherwise.

No one talking to you, you can spread out into a few seats with bags and stuff. Haha.

I remember going to see Before Midnight by myself. There were 4 middle aged women and like 3 college girls in the theater.

I was tearing up more than all of them :lol

I was actually really considering watching that on my own, but luckily when I visited Philly last summer me and a close friend of mine caught it >:3

Bugger all this depressing shite, lets go back to cars.

My piece of shit:

Cosmetically rough as guts, but mechanically it is getting there. Engine has been rebuilt, electronic ignition, disc brakes have been added to replace the front drums, still heaps to do though. By the end of the year I should have new suspension, transmission and paint, then I can focus on the details like the missing chrome and choosing wheels.

The sort of look I hope I will have by the end of the year, only (probably) in red:

Of course, I wouldn't mind if someone gave me Gitten Jr's drift car:

Maybe minus the green though.

Wife and I went to Reno last week and checked out the National Auto Museum.
Got to see the original one of these:

Damn that is beautiful, reminds me of the Maybach Excelero and Fulda testing car that inspired it:

My piece of shit:

Good god that is a sexy car you have. o.o

I've always wanted a stupid rare car, a 1959 Desoto Fireflight (I have a weakness for boats)

I currently have a hubcap. Might not be from a Fireflight, but it says Desoto! I am 1% there. (Thanks Marrec)

I'd settle for the less rare 67' Impala. Again, love me big metal framed cars.

My grandmother in Oregon used to own a Desoto something, they sold it in the 70's to buy a giant ugly Thunderbird, but she never stopped talking about that car. I never did manage to find out what model it was though, everyone who would know has shuffled off now. Don't give up one the Fireflight.

67 Impala? 4 door? Black? Hot.

Sorry about your cat TDM. Putting down your animal is incredibly hard. I wish you all the best in recovering as it can take awhile.

Yeah, I am still hunting, the only ones I've ever found for sale are in the 30k range with means I would never be able to afford one :/ Someday! When I'm like...rich.

And yeaaah, that's one of the reasons I fell in love with that show. My brain went 'OMG that car and classic rock, I will marathon this.'

I want it so bad :(

Also, the 67 is more fesible, since they aren't as rare, and I could logically get one near trashed for under 1000 and do a lifetime rebuild project :p

Reading up, very sorry about your cousin Fiction. Best of luck. :(

TDM I've been there pretty recently, it sucks man.

Dead Man I wouldn't mind that hunk of shit. My sister's second car in high school was a gorgeous red with black interior 65(or maybe even 64) mustang. I'm envious of her to this day and upset it didn't stay in the family until I could have it.

All of these mustangs are making me want to watch Gone In 60 Seconds again. I wanted a GT500 more than anything else when I first saw that movie.

I just read another sad post from Fiction. :( Sorry about your friend. If you do decide to make a thread, I'll definitely donate some money.

Yeah, I am in the same situation with Frozen, I don't get...unwanted thoughts though.

Learn to love it. :p

I don't even feel weird about it. I did visit the Hobbit alone since my friends cancelled the appointment and then all went with different groups, and I wanted to see it in HFR IMAX which meant I had to travel an hour and a half. Worth it.

I just do not like theaters, and going with friends usually compensates for that. And it costs money. :(

And my empathy goes to TDM and Fiction.
