I really want the digital archive to have high quality footage of the haunted house beta.
Cutscenes are in realtime from what I saw on the Steam site video... since the once "prerendered" cutscenes are running at 60fps.
If you scroll up a tiny bit you'll see

Except that it doesn't have co-op. Which is a pretty big reason to play 5/6.4 is superior to 5 and 6 in every conceivable way.
Negative, Ubisoft was just the distributor in EU/US.
KB/m support officially confirmed:

Pretty sure the original GC code base is gone at this point since every version other than that has been based on the PS2 code.
kobayashi?? lolwow, nowadays a lot of people love re4.
i remember, when this game was announced for gc, a lot of people were first of all upset thats its only for gc.
then they were upset about the changes made to the series
and then kobayashi said, when this game is going to be released on something else than the gc, he will chop off his head.
and have a look at this game now with all these news in mind.
i feel so ashamed how old fans turned out and how new fans behave.
re4 was the first entry of the NEW resident evil.
re4,5,6 are nearly all the same. super action-driven next to no horror.
and even worse, this bullshit about re-released. milk that cashcow, capsy-com.
how about a new revelations? old fans loved the one for 3ds(and again the release of it on the hd-systems)
Will it still use tank controls? No movement while aiming? Or did they change those aspects of the game?

I'm still skeptical you can aim with the mouse and that this isn't just mouse support for navigating menus. Sniping on Wii and Dolphin is still mapped to the left analog stick which means it would have to be recoded for the mouse. Either that or there would have to be a way to adjust the sensitivity, b/c it's damn near impossible to aim with the keyboard. I'm not sure how this was accomplished in the first PC port - perhaps someone could chime in and clarify.

Capcom didn't develop it though. I know Ubisoft released it here, was it released in Japan?
This is meant to be the definitive edition, not the worst one! Will it still use tank controls? No movement while aiming? Or did they change those aspects of the game?
OMG I forgot Steam supported 60 fps trailers.
So bought. Mouse aim this time ? 60 FPS (that will be weird !). People say "mods did it already" ..... did they ? Pretty sure PC version never had gamecube model detail + other graphical effects, and as far as i remember the textures wernt 1 to 1 matches of the gamecube version either.
Mods couldn't fully fix the in game geometry, the lighting, or the frame rate. Or the pre rendered cut scenes. Even with mods the PC version is far from definitive. Dolphin Wii version is closest to definitive but it still doesn't get there for various boring technical reasons (whatever widescreen resolution you pick it up scales the game from a letterboxed 4:3 based on your vertical resolution). So bought. I wonder what gave them the idea to suddenly do this now.
RE5 and 6 have proper KBM controls. I don't see why this wouldn't.
Considering you can simply map the mouse over the already integrated pointer controls in the game for 1:1 mouse control when you emulate the game I can't see why they'd have any problems implementing it the same way here.

like I said, boring technical reasons.
Only character models. The level geometry was still based on the lower poly ps2 version. Environmental effects were still drastically inferior too.Because the textures made by the community were much better than the ones in the GC version![]()
Some models were ported as well, but no, nothing like this new version.
