Not old but I think Famitsu actually has this list every week with minimal changes. Haven't bought a copy for ages though.

People finally gave up on The Last Remnant for the PS3 lol.

All that tells you is that Japan would buy the 3DS version of MK8 over the Wii U one if it existed. There is a Smash 3DS, so they're going to go with that one.

I'm pretty sure this is based on a weekly survey they do, by filling in an online questionnaire. Last time I got Famitsu, the most wanted game (MH4) 'only' had about 3,000 votes.

It certainly represents the hardcore gamer base well, I imagine.

Zelda isn't that popular in Japan, and Mario Kart is one of the most popular of Nintendo's first party offerings.

Much more info and media is available for Persona Q, and it also has a release date. And the 3DS is more popular than the Vita.

Which is ironic because both FFXV and KH3 don't even have release window and they're both in top 5. What's more, they're on a console that hasn't release in their country.

I'm positively surprised to see FFXV remain anticipated despite XIII series taking a huge dump on the brand name, plus the lack of updates on the title. Hopefully SE starts shedding some more light on it soon.

Yes, but then again The Phantom Pain isn't coming out any time soon (2015 seems to be the most likely year of rleease). So, people are probably just expecting to have a PS4 by then.
