also backed... the game looks really good
I want to support this, but I also want to be in the alpha tier, and $50USD is a little steep for the unknown that is Kickstarter. I guess I'll do the cheapest tier that gets me into the beta and try to convince myself closer to the end.
MY MONEY CANNOT EXIT MY WALLET FAST ENOUGH!
Three weeks? I think you'll have "hey I put a dragon in the game!" mods in 3 dayswatch the "Dungeons and No Dragon" motto cease to be true three weeks from release.
I'd hope for it to be much better than Elder Scrolls, considering how well they have identified many of the issue which plague that series since Oblivion. This could be an amazing open world RPG fix before Elder Scrolls VI.

Well, delivering on it is a different matter entirely.I'd hope for it to be much better than Elder Scrolls, considering how well they have identified many of the issue which plague that series since Oblivion.
i am fine with this modI assumed the tools were relaesed a bit late.
Being cryengine and all, there'll probably be a dude in a nanosuit cleaving peasants an hour from release.
If they were going to do that I imagine they would have already.
I think at this point they would rather the project die then succumb to the gaming industry.
Who can control the modders? I fully expect to see everything from Crysis 3's boss to the biggest ship from star citizen loaded at some point in this game by someone.
What's up with people bragging about having an (alleged) OCD, these days?
Haha yeah that's a great idea. Playing a female should be an option, but it'd basically be "hard mode". I'd love this.Would be interesting if you could be a female. You'd have to hide your feminine features from everyone, cut your hair, wrap your chest etc. If you are caught then you are dragged across mud and burned at the stake. It could be a entire class in it's own right considering the handicaps.
This looks like the game I dreamed I was playing when I played Mount and Blade (not that I have anything against M&B, I mean I put close to 70 hours into warband). I want to play this right now.
How the enemies visibly watch what is happening to each other. That's great, you don't even see that happening in most FPS games.
that's just an excuse to implement Assassin's Creed AI... peripheral vision is all you need, these two blokes can't even fight in unison let alone keep a descent grip on their own blade as they put their lives on the line.
I haven't read every little thing about the game yet but are they looking to support modding at all ?
^This. Love M&B, but it's a concept that screams 'higher production values' which of course is not something the grognards at Paradox are ever going to get behind, even though doing so would dramatically grow their audience.
They're still games at the end of the day, so getting bum rushed isn't really going to be on the cards, and you're still a 'hero' but I appreciate the attention to detail in terms of place is all.

Too bad that for such a deep RPG, there is apparently no character creator in general. And that the combat is first-person.I hate first-person melee so much, wish it were third person. Buuuut it does seem to fully support controllers, and be designed with controllers in mind (saw Xbox controller prompts in the video), so maybe it won't be clunky like Chivalry. Really tempted to back this, I love the overall concept. Normally I hate sandbox game, but the way they describe it it's not really that "sandboxy" (with vast stretches of nothing and pointless side quests and mini-games), each side quest being meaningful and consequential really appeals to me.
I've never heard Chivalry described as clunky. Game is quite fluid and responsive to your inputs.
Maybe its the controller use or not grasping the basic concept.
Already close to 200k and I am expecting to see more support in the following and very last days of the campaign. I believe 500k+ could very well happen, and honestly, this game deserves it.
will Alpha hit this year?
Its going to be an expensive night tonight, and I don't even back that many Kickstarter projects!
You got other things on the table that you're buying? I already bought 2 bundles... and then this damn game shows up...
