I wonder what would happen if reviews for the game started coming out and the XO version received higher scores for various reasons...
The reviewers get their ms cheques approved and cashed?

Really? Now that's smart marketing.
Release a megaton and remove the street date to capitalize on the positive freakout.

Misterxmedia doesn't disappoint.

The new excuse is 'driver support'.
Right, it would have to be because of that.

Just for the first hour.So is TR a qte fest like Ryse or what? I know some are saying this.
Do you know something about the X1 version we don't? I fail to see why it would get higher scores.
Or to ensure they still sell some Xbox One copies before more people find out?![]()

Someone streaming TR from their PS4.
You probably cant determine anything from it I guess, right?

I had to watch that gif like 20 times in a row. It's seamless.
Anyone know the story behind that gif?
Yeah gamestop release date says the 24th now. I don't know if it's a error or notSquare Enix lifted the street apparently. You can buy it right now!
Whenever someone uses "slightly higher" in this context, a picture of Monty Python's Black Knight comes to my mind.
Perhaps 60FPS (or close to it) will be more common an occurrence this new gen than a lot of us expected, myself included. This is great news.
If they're not a reviewer it would be confirmation it's possible to buy it today though I think
Targeting and promoting 60fps can actually be used as a way to cut down on rapidly increasing development costs. Instead of being forced to pump out the most bleeding edge visuals possible at the standard 30fps, they can cut back a bit and double the frame rate.Perhaps 60FPS (or close to it) will be more common an occurrence this new gen than a lot of us expected, myself included. My wife is 105lbs and 5'2. I'm 205 and 6'2. People always say I'm only slightly bigger than her.
Both framerates are unlocked, according to the rumor. I believe the initial rumor does say that both games do have the framerates drop in heavy action scenes. So that would be the case if all this turns out to be true. Each would drop under the 30fps/60fps.
Do you know something about the X1 version we don't? I fail to see why it would get higher scores.
Actually it goes above 30 fps. Sometimes hitting as high as 45 fps.
The Tomb Raider Rumor said:"but can spike up to 45fps during less busy scenes."
I don't get the disappointment from the xbone subreddit. Why make yourself feel worse if the xbone is the only console you have. TR will be fine and perfectly playable.
I'm not entirely sure that targeting 60FPS at the cost of visual fidelity would actually equate to lower budgets. My guess is that resources would simply be allocated to other departments, but I don't work in the industry. Maybe someone who does can confirm?Targeting and promoting 60fps can actually be used as a way to cut down on rapidly increasing development costs. We'll know in a few years whether or not that expectation is realistic.1080p + 60fps is what I expected
Ill settle for 900p+ and 60fps though. Since bf4 loks fine and its a release game
I'm just waiting for a GIF joust with SunhiLegend, damn.
Oooh I get it! Because he is the "One". Hehehehehe... wait where are you all going?
Brilliant! But you should start the gif with Morpheus jumping across with PS4 logo on his back.![]()
It was just a hypothesis, I don't work in the industry, either.I'm not entirely sure that targeting 60FPS at the cost of visual fidelity would actually equate to lower budgets. Scary how seamless it is lol
You still used a very poor example for your argument. If you're an "xbox man" you would know that 3 out of the 4 PGR releases were 30fps. If anything that would make you believe 30fps is great considering PGR series is arguably the best arcade racing series out there.
He never promised he would apologize if he was wrong. That is as much as you can expect from a marketing person.
Yeah, except that in the Definitive Edition they messed up her face.I picked this up for $14 on steam..
is the pc version basically the same?
