Royal Rumble |OT| Garbage

It's so hard to poll and if WWE won't let him prove himself, they can claim he doesn't draw for ages.

He doesn't move merch, BECAUSE HIS ONLY SHIRT IS FEAR THE BEARD.

His yes-shirt fucking sold! But of course his shit-shirt doesn't, IT IS SHIT!

He could draw if they booked him strong and didn't bury him the whole time. A barber would help too.

He needs someone to 'shoot' accidentally set his beard on fire so he has a good excuse to have it removed.

Here's what you guys don't get about Bryan. People love him but they won't spend the money on him so he doesn't get the push. Little kids are out there buying Cena shirts and Batista pops the big rating. That's where WWE is looking towards. People that bring in the money either in advertising or merch. Pretty simple.
.

This argument is ridiclous. No one is a draw before they are pushed as one.

Cena isn't the top guy because he sells the most merch. He sells the most merch because he is the top guy.

Building draws takes time. Bryan winning the Rumble and main eventing WM won't draw as much as Batista will. However, it will make a 32 mega-over guy into a main event star that can be made into a draw for years to come. The other is a 45 year old part timer who will pop a couple of ratings, get a decent buyrate for one night, and then fuck off to leave you with no draw.

But at whose expense, and what are their merch numbers?

This is the most puzzling imo. Cena doesn't need protection, Punk doesn't. Batista will draw regardless. Why are they not pushing another guy? Along with those three, Brock and Batista? They can easily do it but they chose not to. Batista didn't need this Rumble win. Cena doesn't need a rub. Punk is fine regardless. Why not give the crowd what they want? YOU HAVE NOTHING TO LOSE!

First match was awesome.

But the rest was horrible.

Cant believe they gave Los Matadores mascot a spot in the rumble but not DB......what a waste....

A lot of people in the Reddit thread are saying that they are being credited refunds from their cable companies because Daniel Bryan wasn't in the Rumble.

I will not watch nor record Raw tomorrow. I will not visit WWE.com. I will not sign up for the WWE Network. I may watch streams of Elimination Chamber. Listen to your audience, Vince. You could've not pushed Austin or the Rock, and been out of business currently. Your fans tell you who they want at the top, push that guy and people will watch. I don't give 2 shits about Batista, Orton, Cena, or Big Show. I enjoy watching Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Roman Reigns, Antonio Cesaro, Cody Rhodes, Big E, Seth Rollins, and Dean Ambrose. Stop feeding me Cena bullshit, 10 year olds have no dispensable income. You know who does? The coveted 18-49 year old demographic, BECAUSE THEY SPEND MONEY. No 10 year old is getting WWE Network. This isn't a redo of the Hulk Hogan era. You can't rely on these children to grow up and have a repeat of the Attitude era. It's a different time. Fuck you and fuck your company. Fix it, or lose what's left of your audience.

I'm heading back from the Rumble! What a night! It was great to be apart of that brutal crowd. How did we sound to those who watched?

btw thanks for booing the fuck out of that fat piece of shit Mysterio. God bless you.

Sucks to see that about Bryan. He's got so much potential. They should quit burying him.

Undertaker was my favorite way back when. But I seriously feel like he should never wrestle another match.

This argument is ridiclous. No one is a draw before they are pushed as one.

Actually, somebody like Eddie Guerrero was moving numbers before he was pushed as anything but a tag guy w/ Chavo.

Cena isn't the top guy because he sells the most merch. He sells the most merch because he is the top guy.

That is true. But some people fail as main event draws, no matter how hard you push them (see Vladmir Kozlov). Part of it is the push. But, part of it is that he is a better main event draw than other men would be.

Again, I totally agree with this. But, the WWE believes they can cycle out part-time guys and draw bigger numbers for the next few years while they build up "their" guys (Reigns, Langston, Mojo Rowley, etc.) and use indie guys like Punk & Bryan to create great matches.

Daniel Bryan beating the undertaker is all I have left to hang my hat on.

Also the Wyatt's helping Orton after he buried them 20 mins earlier was horrible logic. Why would Orton even bring up Bray in the promo.

It seems like they're gonna say "Orton brought them up because he knew they would show up and distract Cena, the Wyatts were coming for a Orton but then Cena attacked them so they changed their plans".

Does that even make sense? Lol

From an outsiders perspective:

I have absolutely zero interest in Randy Orton, John Cena, and Batista. I just don't get it. I realize that they're huge (physically), but they just bore the shit out of me. I'm semi-entertained by Lesnar, but even he is a stretch for me. Meanwhile, all of the guys I do enjoy (especially Punk) seem like the take a back seat.

So, at first blush, it just seems crazy. Why would they push all of these boring juice balls while burying all of the entertaining dudes with personality and who can put on entertaining matches?

But, then, I wonder: does the opinion of someone like me matter at all? (I'm in my 30s, I'm cynical, I'm barely invested, I buy zero merchandise, etc.) I'm assuming that the people who matter are the people in the 5-15 range and their parents. And perhaps the juice balls are what's most important to those people?

Or something?

I'm very confused.

Here's a what if: what if they take the idea of burying Bryan figuratively, and give us Bryan vs. Taker in a coffin match at WM. Bryan wins. Most fans are ECSTATIC that Bryan wins, besides maybe the older crowd who are still once a year Taker fans, and Taker's career ends almost the way it started, as hes never seen again the WWE after being taken out in a coffin.

It takes Bryan being buried literally and turns it into something special for the fans, of both Bryan and Taker, honestly. And it puts a semi funny spin on Dbry getting "buried" by the authority. The Raw after, give Bryan an new entrance and gimmick as a REAL superstar, and end the stupid " the man keeping him down" thing.

Personally, i think he is a talented wrestler, but his entrance and look are retarded and don't say face of the WWE. I think his picture on his Twitter page makes him look like more of a serious wrestler, but take away the beard and unless you come up with something good, you have even less to market with than you do now.

I got the F4W stream to work once then it crapped out on me. Now I'm stuck refreshing until it comes back.

I had it working and then accidentally closed the tab!

I felt like the crowd (and myself) only rooted for Reigns at the end because 1) DB wasn't in and 2) we didn't want to see Batista win. I don't know if Reigns is ready to main event Mania, but that was really dumb to have him dominate, get a huge reaction, then come up short to freakin Batista.

Funny how 1 fuck up has turned their Returning superstar from a face to a massive heel, and probably got Rey Rey boos for the weeks to come.

Tomorrow.

1. Batista gets booed out of the building.
2. Rey gets booed out of the building(if he shows).
3. Kane will definitely get booed to hell and back.
4. HHH/Steph will get so much fucking heat if they introduce brotista tomorrow.
5. When Bryans music hits the roof will literally fly off the arena.

I find it strange how everyone is blaming vince for this shit of a ppv when this clearly had Hunter written all over it
NAO tag team champs
Bryan losing
Kevin Nash the only true return
Sheamus final 3
batista winning

But NXT guys? You told me that NXT!

That fucking link works for 1% of the people then. I've refreshed a million times and tried multiple browsers. They better offer a download version later.

The LAW show is different from that one, right? It's on at 12 midnight eastern, but I don't think you're allowed to use profanity and really let loose on there because it's on terrestrial radio so I really hope the F4W adds a link to download. :(

The "IWC" wasn't the arena full of fans shitting all over their big star winning the Rumble.
The IWC has a far different meaning now than it did back when the term was first coined in the mid-2000s.

Everyone is online now. Even the hillbillies in their RVs are using the WWE app on their iPads.
The IWC mentality has infected mainstream arena audiences at all of the big established PPVs.
The problem is that while the Internet's influence over the WWE's fans has evolved Vince hasn't changed his approach to how he handles them.
