They can put that awful looking Quicksilver in and yet still no Gambit, Angel and a proper Cyclops?

Fucking Bryan Singer.

yo i'm watching Friday Night Lights again and I see why they cast taylor kitsch bomba prince as gambit. he has that swagger about him.
Eh, I didn't like his portrayal. Then again, I also hated his look in the movie as I was hoping for something more like his comic costume(not the pink but the semi face mask and shorter hair) but I guess that wasn't really his fault.

I feel like there's better people they could cast. I'm also curious if they'll ever recast Rogue.

Why several X-Men movies have gone by without an adult Cyclops is a true mystery.

Yeah it's bull. I love James Marsden and think he's great as cyke but the way they write him is awful

Should be getting Future Magneto again around now.

I know quicksilver looks dorky but doesn't anyone else except me think thats his 70's costume?
Even if its a disguise he used whilst travelling back in time? If it is his modern costume then oh dear

All the blue covers are the 70s ones, and the purple are the future ones.

Future Sentinel would be the last cover they reveal.

Interested in seeing how Bishop and Sunspot look. I think there were some leaked shots of Bishop, but I might be thinking of something else...

Spoiler, it's not really hovering, it's just a guy with a comb and paper.

So they are going to try & outdo X3 in stuffing the most crap they can possibly imagine rather than focusing on making a good film.

We wouldn't be here without Singer's X-Men. While I have revisited those films in recent years and found them profoundly lacking - X2 is so bad I can't even finish watching the whole embarrassing thing - I can't deny their place in the evolution of superhero movies, the dominant form of modern blockbusters. Singer's costumes sucked, but they were part of the process that opened the larger door so that we could have The Avengers: Age of Ultron (both in terms of making superhero movies popular and teaching Marvel Studios how to do it right). Much respect. But that respect is for the past - which is where these terrible designs should stay.

WHAT ?????

Also is it so difficult to give Wolverine is iconic damn mask?

It actually might be? Look at Hawkeye who has a similar mask. Marvel ended up going with a generic leather look for him in the Avengers movie, probably because that kind of mask just doesn't work well in live action. The main issue is the eye part, which can't really be adequately translated to a live action mask. I guess they could go with make up, like Batman, but it'd still result in a fairly different presence.

What? His mask design is practically the same as Batman. I think the directors or actors want to play a movie with a mask obscuring their face .

I could see Wolverine's mask working in life action but they still won't do it because Singer sucks with design.

Hawkeye's costume looks awful in general though.

Most of the young/past versions have awful looking costumes. Quicksilver is fucking abysmal.

Beast looks okay, Mystique looks good (although JLaw was terrible in first class), Wolverine looks fine, Magneto/Xavier look great. Hoping it's just a bit mishandled and corny looking for some reason.

This whole "super hero costumes totaly work in live action" discussion is REALLY missing some good cosplay examples =P

Wait, one thing I'm confused about. Is this film set in the past or the future? Is there a present and, if so, will we see any other X-Men or mutants?

The x-men films have always been set in the "not so distant future"
Its set in the future and past. Wolverines mind is sent back in time into his 70's body to change some cataclysmic event

Awww fuck. They just have to ruin the feel good feeling after getting badass Magneto and Professor X with Halle "bad wig" Berry.

Yeah, but what I'm getting at is the film has to begin somewhere? Will it start immediately in the future with
Wolverine being sent back in time to stop these events from happening
or will it be in the present with
Xavier receiving a message from the future about the past needing to be altered and the past, present and future meet
?

I couldn't even finish X2 when I tried to give it another go.

It's really cringeworthy

You have no soul

I think it is a safe bet that the movie begins
in the future, probably fights some sentinels and "Kate, we need to go back" and then they go to the past and
the rest is there.
