Super Smash Bros Wii U & 3DS Thread 4: New Year, Old Arguments

New move, or item?

i hope they make an investor direct and stream it live to both the investors and consumers

ending with a palutena reveal
our stocks may be in a slump but hey here's some green-haired anime chick in one of our videogames none of you old investors probably give a shit about

EDIT: Oh hey, one of the better things gameplay-wise from Skyward Sword makes an appearance.

Have they shown Link's boomerang yet? If it's a move, maybe it replaces that. You throw out the beetle with forward B, then proceed to remote-control it.

Then Toon Link can keep the boomerang and be -- le gasp! -- different.

the beetle was so horrible in skyward sword

impossible to control with that motion plus garbage

should be better in smash ^_^

Now the controls in that game weren't as perfect as Nintendo wanted, but that beetle was not hard to control :P

So it's an item??? I can't see it being his side-B.

The way Link is holding it (and the fact that there are two) says it's an item to me. I have a feeling the one carrying Marth is being controller by a third character from offscreen. Neato.

No Miiverse post yet.

Or they could come out quickly enough and not need to return like a boomerang so maybe he pulled another out quickly enough to get both in the shot. I'm sure the Miiverse post will be up soon and well know either way.

I'm betting you can use it either to attack or bring an item to you. Very intriguing. Need that miiverse comment.

EDIT: You can use it pick up characters? That's why Marth looks so weird! XD

Pic of the day. The Beetle item from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is a comical item that grabs characters and carries them into the air.

Beaten! Sounds like it'll be pretty fun.

Marth's hanging animation literally looks like he's just standing in midair holding the thing.

Of course I realize I'll need to see it in motion.

Opens up some cool potential new strategies: for example, in team play, maybe you could launch it at your partner when they get knocked off the stage to help them recover.

I seriously hope when you launch it you use the joystick to control the direction it goes and carry them for like five seconds.

You could totally just hit them with it and steer them off the edge and under the stage hahah

So then connecting this to Rosie's pic yesterday, I wonder if the Beetle has priority over Rosalina's item-pull or if that item-pull affects ALL items
