They look way too much like CG fakery to me. Sure, the Sentinels were always going to be CG, but if they were done like the robots in Pacific Rim, they could have still had a weight and a presence. I look at that and I just think of the worst parts of the Hobbit.

Yea some of these look terrible, but I still kinda look forward to the film as an X-Men fan even though I'm not much of a fan of what Singer did.

Not really. If they can pull of making Iron Man (who's just as guilty of the man-in-foam-suit -look) appear badass they can do it for the Sentinels classic design. Lots of the newer designs are pretty good.
The 70s design isn't even that bad of a starting point. It just looks weak. Like if some debris flies up those vents the wrong way it's fucked.

singer always sucked at character/costume design aside from based magneto and xavier.
he did good on blink, future rogue and future magneto/xavier though.
wolverine looks great. glad he's wearing normal clothing in the past.

edit: the idea of quicksilver being a bowie fan in the 70s is funny but the execution looks bad. who knows though. could be entertaining when we watch his scenes. jury's out.

The problem I have with this Sentinal is it's so basic and boring. They couldn't have made it a little more unique or add some colour to make it stand out? I'm so tired of the drab look these movies aim for.
I know comic sentinals wouldn't work in a live film but they still could do better than what they're giving.

Was he paralyzed at the end of First Class? I honestly don't remember him being in the wheelchair at any point in that movie. Although I only saw it once in the theater.

it is funny that Rogue gets a cover when it was announced a few weeks ago that her solitary scene in the film was cut because the film was over its targeted length.

He get's shot because of Magneto which paralyses him. He's then shown in the wheelchair at the end.

Hate the future sentinel. I wanted a big solid robot. They did so well with Magneto's armor chest plates I thought they'd nail it.
After doing some wiki surfing, if it's supposed to be Nimrod then it's pretty in keeping with the general concept of a robot that can change itself on the fly to deal with all sorts of different mutants. I can pretty much guarantee that they'll have some serious VFX porn lined up for that baby.

In the "bullet" viral everything pointed to mystique being the one who killed JFK and mixed with the scene where she is handcuffed in the trailer it made me think if she is the villain of the movie or something.
But now looking at "Nimrod" it looks like Mystique is so important because heavy experiments made on her was basicaly what made the super powerfull sentivel possible, considering how Nimrod's skin has the visual look of Mystique shapeshifting powers.
