Does "the 12th man" in Seattle have to pay royalties to A&M? All bias aside, the 12th man shit is probably the lamest thing I've heard of in sports history and that's whether it's Seattle or A&M or anyone else. The whole thing is embarrassingly stupid

Hey man us non-contributing loser ass fans gotta find some way to get ourselves involved!!

Hey, I don't mind A&M having their own claim for their college fans, but a professional team needs a better class of fan.

There is a long long looooooooooooooong list of crazed sports fans doing insane, crazy, stupid, dangerous, and plenty moronic things to show their pride in their team and allegiance. This 12th Man bit is nowhere near those.

I'll give aTm credit for making it up. They're very good at it after fabricating all those championships!

Really?

Hito basically says A&M fans are class less. Yet fans of college teams are more devoted and hardcore than any fanbase in the NFL. So yes, really.

And no I am not an A&M fan.

He's saying fans of pro teams need a better class. It has nothing to do with a college team. Separate trains of thought.

Tha fuck...fans are fans. Saying "needs a better class of fans" is demeaning to A&M fans because you are saying they lack class.

??????

I don't understand what's so weird about the statement. The 12th man thing is supposed to represent a more dedicated fanbase than your average team. aTm's 12th man is the college version, but Hito was saying that pro teams didn't have an equivalent until the Seahawks version came along.

Willis McGahee was not a fan either.

"Coming from Miami, I was used to partying, going out, just having something to do every night,'' he told the Sun. "Restaurants, whatever. Going to Buffalo, it was like hitting a brick wall. Like, 'Damn!' Can't go out, can't do nothing. There's an Applebee's, a TGI Friday's, and they just got a Dave & Busters. They got that, and I'm like, 'What the?' And, you know, the women ...

Ill get roasted but I don't care. What has Wilson done to prove how great he is? Seriously.

He is a good, average QB. Nothing special

"While there seems to be a perception that Seahawks QB Russell Wilson is along for the ride with this team the numbers really do paint a different story. While he is protected by scheme (the Seahawks have thrown the ball 26% less times than expected based on opponent) he is incredibly productive when he does throw the football. His explosive plays on a per attempt basis are actually more impressive than the Broncos offensive output. Really the only category in which he is below average is yards per game and that is because the attempts are so low."

Also, as said previously, Wilson had to do without Rice.

I definitely think that Wilson looked better in last year's playoff run than this years, but yeah if he wins the Super Bowl no one will really give any fucks.

Seattle sports fans haven't really had a guy to root for in a long ass time. Their highest profile athlete of the last 10 years or so is probably Felix Hernandez and while he's certainly been amazing he just hasn't been the kind of guy who captures people the same way someone like Griffey did.

They probably would've deified Durant had the Sonics not been stolen from them.

Ichiro maybe?

Nah. The fans didn't embrace him in the same way. 1) Most of the teams he was on were god-awful, and 2) he refused to do interviews in English, even though he could speak it just fine. Not a big deal, but if you're talking about forming a connection with fans...

class, n. and adj.
Pronunciation: Brit. /klɑːs/ , /klas/ , U.S. /klæs/

2.
a. A set or category of things having some related properties or attributes in common, grouped together, and differentiated from others under a general name or description; a kind, a sort.

3.
a. A set or category of things differentiated according to grade or quality; (in later use also) spec. each of the grades of accommodation, seating, or service provided for passengers on a journey by rail, sea, air, etc.

I like Loggains as Qb coach, seemed to be doing a pretty good job with Locker until the injury.
Edit: also what's up with Shanahan? Is this like the 3rd OC job he interviewed for

That is interesting, both teams the Broncos lost to, were then defeated by them in the postseason.

Seattle also beat us in the preseason. If we beat them, the only loss we will not be able to avenge this year would be the Colts. Seems fitting considering the history.

And the Cardinals, but that was the 4th preseason game so it doesn't count!

I can neither confirm or deny that I am either Brandon Perna (guy in the video) or Orlando Franklin.

What about the regular season game against the Saints?

Jimmy Graham is better than Julius Thomas at this point, but outside of that Denver's WRs are better imo. Denver's RBs are better, even the line is better. New Orleans is much easier to contain because the are pretty much a pass only offense. Their run game sucks by and large. If you know the pass is coming, then it becomes much easier to contain.

Not to mention that playing in Century Link makes it tough on opposing teams, so that worked against Brees in both games. On Sunday that should be less of a factor, thank goodness. The one thing I will say that CLink is a terrifying place to play, I'd even rank it second to Arrowhead (colder + ~ as loud).

And the saints suck on the road

Haha thanks. You must have liked that Microsoft thread last night huh?!

Anyway good luck to your team on Sunday, I'm going to be busy getting drunk with a bunch of married people :/.

I don't really care either way. Just a funny read more than anything I guess. To be entirely honest I've really only been playing FFVI and PS+ games. Haven't touched a Microsoft game device in several months. PS+ is in a golden era right now imo.

Thanks btw, I've contemplated taking Monday off so I can either party with a win or drown my sorrows with a loss. The one good thing about not being in the SB is no emotional attachment.

FFVI? Did they fix the Android version?

Yeah the last SB against the Giants I ended up getting so drunk and just muttering inarticulate noises by the end of the game. I decided after that I can't watch the SB with my team in it with a bunch of other people. You're going to want to go to work the next day if they lose, at least I did.

Sherman has a big mouth though even if the outcry against him was ridiculous. He's lucky he's so good, when he turns the corner and becomes shitty and old and still has the big mouth, I don't think anyone will stand for it!

how is that a homer piece? you have all the idiots on PFT and wherever else read the comments and say "LOLOLOLULZ SOUR GRAPES! CHECK THE SCOREBOARD! IF DOESN'T CUT IT!" when in actuality it's kap taking responsibility for a bad throw. crabtree had dick beat on the play at the onset and if kap hits the back of the endzone it's either a TD or incomplete. how is that crabtrees fault that his QB didn't make a better throw? that's what kap is saying. sherman calls crabtree a trash WR or whatever but that trash WR had him beat on the route and but for a poor throw it would have been at worst an incomplete

Yeah, they fixed it. As far as work there are a couple other Bronco fans there so if we lose it will be a true case of the Mondays in the office.

I'm going to pick Seattle. I'm a firm believer defense wins championships and Peyton has choked his fair share of playoff/SB games away himself. I only say that from my own opinion which nobody probably cares about.
