There is more to the lost city, did you find the undead part?
Clear level 4 of the lost city (entrance right behind the bandit leaders throne), you'll find something there that should guide you forward.
Yesterday I was exploring the road that connects Seahaven with Karthal, I came across what seemed to be some sort of temple in the Navea Delta zone but the main doors couldn't be interacted with which seemed very strange. I'm in act 2. I only want to know if this is a bug or if it's supposed to be like this until something happens in one quest or another..

I suspect that's a placeholder for DLC. There is at least one other similar location.

the raging ghouls or whatever they are called are totally kicking my ass. I need to chug like 3-6 potions to get through each encounter with two of them. Then I turned the corner and there was a set up with 1 behind me and 2 in front. What is a good strategy for these guys? They are immune to sleep so crowd control is out, and pretty much every other debuff.

Before I went back to that part of The Lost City I visited Karthal and The Crag to upgrade my skills another tier. After exploring the countryside for a while I returned with new equipment and maybe two more character levels.
I went to the north west to find that place for the Warmonger promotion but I cleared it out and couldn't find where else to go. I saw a teleporter but it wouldn't let me use it for some reason.
In the nest area you find this blind shaman who opens the boss area. He only opens it if you have the quest.
Or do you mean you still can't find the nest? I just explored the whole area in the mountains near the crags until I found it.
Owl cave is for shamans.
Do i need to take a teleporter to get to the nest or I should just find it? It's not through the Jungle is it?
It's exactly the same for me. It feels precisely like the old school tiled M&Ms. Don't get me wrong, I loved VI - VIII (let us never speak of IX) but this feels like a very welcome return to the basics. I'm compulsively exploring every single dark square I can on the map.

I will give the Crystal Spider another go. That AoE spell just wrecks the shit out of my casters. Going to stack up on Prime magic resist before I try again. I am at a point now where I think I should have more blessings than i am at currently. Only the one that lets me walk through forest and I am deep into Act 3 lol

For the first time? Just go west to the wilds and keep going. I usually never make that walk anymore and just travel from boat now.
Does anyone else think this game is kinda hard even at Adventurer mode?
Seems like all of you who have beaten the game say it ends up being super easy, but I'm not finding that to be the case at all.
I'm in Act 2, but I don't min-max. I just put points in whatever sounds good to me without research. Can you only play this game by min-maxing and planning things before even creating your party?

I have no clue what I'm doing (apart from my knowledge of RPGs) and doing fine on Warrior. The game is rather open, so you can run into enemies that you are not yet able to defeat. Some hard fights require a little thinking on how do make them dealable. It's not easy tho.
I think you mean Karthal proper, I've already been there.
I've looked more closely at the map, now i think
it may be the place where the quest for becoming a paladin takes place, the actual entrance is on the other side where two wraiths are standing guard.

I had to restart the game twice before I got an idea of how to spend my stat and skill points. You don't have to min-max everything, but if you ignore certain stats or skills the game is going to be very difficult.
Lol. I ended up exploring almost all of Lost City. I thought it was pretty tough

Didn't realize I wasn't supposed to do some of it.Act 2 is the hardest point in the game so far because there's so many places you can go that will kick your butt. If you follow the real progression then it's not terribly tough.
Something I did that really helped was spending all my money upgrading my weapons and armor. Made my bladedancer super scary and gave me a much needed boost for later fights.
There is some odd spikes of difficulty, but the most important thing is playing to your party strengths. I mean, if you put points into might on a druid, you are gonna have a bad time. As long as you figure out what your party members are good at, you should be fine. Stay away from bows skill though, which is ironic because in other might and magic games having bows on everyone is pretty much required.
I'm not really min maxing either. My barb has 70 might 40 perception 50 destiny and 40 vitality. He basically has every stat except spirit and magic.
Paladin quest is cursed ruins. The one in the beginning where there's 2 ghosts outside that one shot your party because you are not supposed to be there.

I have a Crusader, Defender, Druid, and Freemage.
My melee dudes don't seem to do much damage and miss taunting a lot. I haven't specifically bought any weapons/armor from stores, not sure if I should or just hope on finding loot.
Some of the named enemies (I guess bosses) just WRECK me. I guess they're optional places though, like some of the caves or places you come across in the open world. How do I know what enemies I'm supposed to beat?
It doesn't seem very linear, which is hard for me.
There is one in Skull Rock that I missed until almost the end of the game, cleared the dungeon and walked right past the little chest with it.

It's not very linear, but keep two saves. If you wander too far into an area where you're getting one-shotted, just reload a save. The caves are optional (I'm pretty sure there aren't any necessary ones, may be wrong. I just do them all). They are all eventually beatable. It's a great feeling coming back to a cave and destroying a boss that was killing your party earlier.
The fighters do miss a ton, there doesn't seem to be much you can do besides dump points into perception. Where I am at right now, my crusader is hitting a lot more than in the beginning and there is a sword you can get that will help out immensely. Also, various pieces of equipment will up your perception.
Ah okay, I don't think I've ever put points into Perception. Didn't sound important, I just assumed Might and Vitality, and some Destiny for melee.
For some reason they renamed Accuracy (what it was called in the previous 9 games) to perception. Why? Who knows. Accuracy is a lot more obvious as to what it does.
i'm not having significant trouble on warrior, but i do think the game would benefit from some way to disengage/flee from fights. you often have to decide whether a fight is do-able just by looking at the enemy, which sometimes is obvious (i'm level 2, so that glowing, hovering undead-thing is probably tough), and sometimes less so (i'm level 8 and there's a few guys in armor and shields over there... (oh shit)).
there's definitely some trial-and-error that involves reloading your save, which would be better handled by some sort of in-game mechanic.

I'm going with Might and Perception being the two major skills for my crusader, with Vitality being the third. Like it was said, pick one weapon and up that skill too. Each level increases your chance to hit (well, with swords anyways).
Nothing is really given to you early game. No walls of gold, no chests with overpowered weapons, and no kicking over an anthill to get 2-3 levels for your party. Once you get over that spike of difficulty, the sky rains of money and gear.

it is used in some secret rooms is the only reason I can think of.
I've been replaying 6 since finishing X and it is *considerably* harder then X. Like by a factor of 5.

When ambushed and flanked, buff up and start moving to cover. Don't stand there and duke it out chugging potions and buffing and wasting attacks. Buff up and step up!
Stupid ambushes. I was getting creamed until i stepped up to the ranged mob through a doorway, killed them in the face and then turned to deal with the melee train of XP following through. Only took two wipes to figure it out too.

I've had mixed results trying to move in a battle. Sometimes it just doesn't work if I've already engaged an enemy.
finished the game today, enjoyed it alot. Act4 was kind of a break in the pace (all that items, secrets and money felt useless because you could not leave), but i understand what they are trying to go for.
Warrior difficulty is great up to some point in act2, you are always barely getting by and always in danger. But that changes quickly when you manage to save enough money for good weapons and a few key spells. Lack of money is mostly where the difficulty was. Then its just facerolling. Dangerous caves are not dangerous anymore and require barely and preparation. Bladedancer pretty much walks over any foe and can kill common enemies with 1-2 strikes. The only skill i constantly used in act4 was regeneration and sometimes burning determination, other than that just attack.
I put a few mana items on my bladedancer for the heck of it and played with Carnage a bit, its devastating. And even more so with mandate of heaven. 2x Carnage was enough to kill everyone surrounding the party, but that was not really necessary, just saved some time.
If i play it again, i wouldnt do act4. It was not challanging, but long enough to become a chore. It's a great game up to that point though.

Sleep is your friend in those cases. Works wonders to tranq melee attackers so that I can move and deal with the ranged buggers upclose and personal. Bugs out at times though.
