I mean, 20 whole minutes man, you sure played it enough as to be able to express a valid critique...
Personally, played it, finished it (60 hours) and besides the simple yet effective combat and some story beats, the game was an Assassin's Creed in all but name, haiku spot this, banner that, bamboo challenge/thermal bath spot/hidden temples blah blah...if it wasn't for the -again - nice combat and the stand off mechanic which never got old I'd have probably dropped it midway, heck, by the time I was done, I couldn't even bother with the Iki island DLC/expansion.
Production-wise was very good (typical of Sony) but, I just can't muster any real enthusiasm anymore when it comes to open world games and personally, I don't care about this sequel at all, this fall it's all gonna be about Ninja Gaiden 4, Crimson Desert, Silent hill f and Metroid Prime 4 for me.
