Stranger Doo
Netflix's live-action "Scooby Doo" series is reportedly slated to begin production in April in Atlanta, Georgia, reports What's On Netflix.

The series is aiming for a "Stranger Things" tone ans is reportedly looking to shoot through to late Q2 2026, according to one source. The streamer is unlikely to premiere the series until sometime in 2027.
The series was created by Josh Appelbaum and Scott Rosenberg ("From," "Citadel") along with executive producer Greg Berlanti. The former two will serve as showrunners on the show, which is aiming to cast actual teenagers for the main roles.

The 'modern reimagining' is set during a final summer at camp. Old friends Shaggy and Daphne get embroiled in a haunting mystery surrounding a lonely, lost Great Dane puppy that may have been a witness to a supernatural murder.

Together with the pragmatic and scientific townie, Velma, and the strange, but ever so handsome new kid, Freddy, they set out to solve the case that is pulling each of them into a creepy nightmare that threatens to expose all of their secrets.

Mystery inc. already did stranger things before stranger things best damn Scooby material to boot. If you haven't watched it, do so. It's amazing.

If they really wanted to do something interesting they'd have them be adults, tracking serial killers in the early 70s and doing lots of drugs and having group sex, there's your edgy Scooby Doo lol.

'From' is fantastic (check that out if you haven't yet) so this gives me hope.

I justed wanted to jump on this comment and support 'From' is really good, looking forward to it's return. I hope they start answering questions though before it gets cancelled or something.

I always like me scome Scooby.

It's on like its FOURTH season, now? The time for "answering questions" has waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay past, IMHO. I bailed after season 1 when it became clear they were not interested in exploring the demons and were just laying out tons of bizarre rules.

Can't wait to see the scissor me timber relationship between Daphne and Velma 👀
Berlanti is a solid producer. He obviously likes the LGB as much as anyone, but he's shrewd enough, I think, to backdoor (bad pun) that stuff for scooby doo. The Fred/Daphne relationship is about as solid as it gets. I'm guessing this will be more on the level of Riverdale, so a bi Velma is about what I'd expect.

I'm curious what they are gonna do with Scooby. A realistic dog, the cartoony CG "ruh roh raggy" type, or a literal dog that doesn't actually speak, more of a lassie/rin-tin-tin type character.

i never watched the regular scooby doo cartoon episodes, i found them boring as hell.
but the ones where they crossover teamup ones with other shows was top stuff, batman and everything, was super neat

Welma Black, Shaggy gay, Freddie will be a strong feminist, and scooby will have garbage cgi. That being said, I do hope it turns out good.

We got some pretty big answers in the fourth season though.

Nah they could have gotten way ahead of stranger things a longtime ago but now they wanna jump in now the ship has docked. So now they gotta make Daphne butt naked or close too it now lol
There is already a fair amount of that stuff and they are all.......delicious :P
