The thing is, you burn the US down, then who takes charge as leader... well, the ones with the money right now in other nations don't have a whole lot of respect for human rights and civil rights and women's rights and children's rights.
The discussion was never about cleaning up shop internally, the people being implicated of the more heinous things in these files are foreign nationals, so unless you want US to send troops to get these guys, I don't know what else you can expect to happen.

Oh i agree if they can maintain the financial hit that's gonna happen.
And ive said from the start i think Trumps whole running of the epstein files has been terrible, but they insisted on campaigning on it, so they now have to take the actions.
I just don't enjoy the thought of the US collapsing into a recession, and then Someone like a Saudi or China becomes a global dominating power.
I really hope the US have some sort of plan because this is all going to come out in the end.

You don't need to blame the Epstein files for that. US politicians have been selling out to the Saudis for oil and to the Chinese for cheap labor for decades. The rich oligarchs in power have no issues with enriching themselves while extracting more wealth from the middle class and outsourcing all of our manufacturing overseas where our IP gets stolen. Our overreliance on the petrodollar has made the USA a slave to fossil fuels which leads to massive misinformation campaigns designed to get people to not believe in climate change so that we keep buying oil and indirectly funding more terrorist groups. Meanwhile the Chinese take green energy seriously and are heading on a path to leapfrog the USA in solar technology and electric vehicles.

Unfortunately, maybe. The last admin was so bad that it enabled an over-correction into far right land. Now that we're there, it could trigger an over-correction into even farther left land than we were before. It's just a downward spiral of partisan politics as the country erodes in the process. Both sides just get away with their agenda by pointing at how (rightfully) bad the other is and ride the outrage.
And that's the good scenario, where we still have free elections without adopting Russia's system. This regime has another strong motivator, the moment they lose power they are in a whole world of shit. I was pretty deep into different conspiracy theories back in the day. I never considered myself a conspiracy theorist, but I started to see a lot of patterns and how things made more sense if viewed from a more skeptical viewpoint.
But I could never have dreamed of what we're seeing now. Both in revelations, but also on how it has become a part of the public discourse. These things used to only be talked about in forums like r/conspiracy(oldschool version) and AboveTopSecret.com(before it got shut down). I hope this opens up the doors to even more stuff since Epstein can't be the only spider with people in his net. There is apparently a huge appetite from the elite for unspeakable things.

Yes it does. Along with battery tech and securing resources and manufacturing for such technologies that will most likely be very important to national security in the future. Just because they are building more coal doesn't mean that they are doing it instead of green power. It's an all of the above approach which will be important for energy security when all the datacenters that are making our PCs unaffordable come online.
