007 First Light Gameplay Deep Dive Trailer

I'm still not a fan of these characters, and nothing about it really says James Bond to me, but it's nice to see that it's mostly still that solid fun Hitman gameplay underneath.

I'll be really interested to see how much driving there is, though. That could be an exciting change.

It feels like we're getting way too many trailers for this game, lol.

Not that it's a bad thing mind you.

I/O is putting a lot on this.
Backed by Amazon now too.

I think I might preorder the game now, Steam regional pricing is excellent here, and if it doesn't work well I can just refund.

For everyone wishing they skipped the 'uncharted' parts... You guys realize that those epic action set pieces were kind of the backbone of the bond films right? Without them it would just be a guy drinking and hitting on women.
It's not the action itself. It's the heavily scripted nature of it.

Uncharted isn't appealing to me because most of those set pieces feel so "on rails". Hitman is the antithesis of that style of gameplay. It's a strange amalgamation of genres.

it lacks fluidity in animations but that is to be expected
and possibly having a lackluster story, I'm not interested in this game at all

Hitman + Uncharted + WATCH_DOGS + Being able to muck around in Q Lab?

Count Me In Rick And Morty GIF

Looks pretty good but seeing some frame rate issues. Guess there's no chance of 60fps on the pro.

Hopefully the delays are just focusing on performance.

Looks like a mix of Splinter Cell Conviction/Blacklist and Uncharted games, which is a great thing for me, since I love them

However, the lack of coop on this game makes me feel like this is a incomplete game, I played a lot of Conviction/Blacklist coop missions and Uncharted 2 and 3 wave modes. I would probably enjoy them less without the coop.

Also, considering that the last 007 game that I played (Everything or Nothing on ps2) had an awesome coop mode, I don't think I am willing to pay 70 usd on this game.

Models are bad, lighting is questionable, art direction is for the Fortnite players I guess.

Continues to look completely underwhelming.

I personally love stealth games so I will probably get it at some point, maybe not day one. I'm not sure it will be worth full price so it's a bit of wait and see for me.

But I'm keeping my eye on this.

Another M-rated kid's game that's not pushing the envelope or doing anything new.
Games like this - most video games - don't deserve to exist publicly.
What a load of shite.

All games don't need to be "pushing the envelope" or do anything new.

They just have to be fun.

Seems like a game that'll require getting creative with the repertoire of options to get the actual fullest experience. I got a feeling mainstream game journos won't play around or experiment with much of them and leave underwhelmed reviews.

Looks like a Hitman-lite crossed with an Uncharted wanna be at a glance.

Hopefully it isn't trying to please everyone and ends up pleasing no one. Could be alright, could be entirely forgettable.

That's why I'm not pre-ordering anything. Just wait and see for me.

Hopefully it will be the other way around and fun.

Got other things to play at the end of May and you just know this will be on sale a month after launch. Unless its a confirmed banger, it can wait.

If this game doesn't meet "sales expectations" expect another 15-20 year wait until we get another attempt a Bond game...never has any other Bond game had so much riding on it.....at a minimum this should be as good as Bloodstone...

Seems like there's lots of choice in action parts. Lots of gadgets and environmental interaction not to mention you have the chance to go loud or quiet.

Regional pricing will be around ~$40 incl local VAT taxes for me, that is more than worth a punt considering that Steam refunds are easy to do.

Not sure how it is for you though.

I also wouldn't recommend buying through keysites because they don't refund if the game doesn't work great on your rig.

Don't know what people are talking about. This looks great. Being able to throw basically anything and smash people into loads of stuff.
Yeah looks like a fun time.

I doubt it will get the post-launch support that we've seen with Hitman but fingers crossed they can cook up some more content for this.

I just can't shake my bad feeling about this. I keep getting the vibe that all the systems are essentially window dressing and the game will end up being an on-rails Uncharted-style experience rather than anything with any depth or radiant gameplay.

If you know their previous work, especially hitman, you know thats not gonna be true. Hitmans gameplay freedom is chefs kiss

Will there be any open world areas or all linear, story driven missions.

If the latter, any replayability? Like different missions/difficulty tiers in Goldeneye?

Looks excellent.
I'm hoping there's difficulty options that require you to think outside the box, necessitating a different approach. Something to encourage multiple playthroughs.
Bracing myself for "Modern audience" Bond though. Hopefully there won't be too many cringe inducing, "progressive" quips to make me roll my eyes.
Keep some semblance of traditional Bond, for Christ sake.
