Deputy Colborn called the plate number in from his personal phone rather than his police radio. In the audio, another voice can be heard calling out "It's hers!" Zellner alleges that is Hillegas' voice, implying that Hillegas was conducting an illegal search on Colborn's behalf. After, of course, leading him to just the right place to look, because Hillegas had been the one who planted the car to begin with.
