£52 million football (soccer) player Benjamin Mendy arrested on 4 counts of rape.

I know this isn't really the most topical subject for this time o' day on le GAF, but I just find this to be pretty incredible... This guy, Benjamin Mendy of France, cost a fee - a middling fee, by football standards - that would make even the most cocky Monaco billionaires blush... he (full disclosure) was never particularly hot shit at his new team (Man City) and it turns out that on top of being a flop of a footballer, he's a flop of a human as well.

He seems to have been accused of having raped 4 women in, roughly, the last year.

My thoughts with the victims.

The matter is subject to an investigation, to be fair.

So by the numbers, he is accused of 4 rapes and 1 sexual assault relating to 3 women in a span of 11 months. Someone clearly hasn't been social distancing.

He wanted that sweet white English nectar and when they wouldn’t give it up. He took it! Assuming he’s convicted I hope this piece of shit rots and it appears as though he’s no good at football either.

It’s so weird that you put his contract value in the subject of this thread.

if true. What a total scum bag who should be punished extremely harshly.

'Accused'

'He's a shit human'

Seems people have learnt fuck all really. I thought this was Gaf, not ResetEra.

Wait till he's actually found guilty eh?
If he got arrested and suspended by his club, it's probably quite serious. Footballers have been falsely accused in the past (see Ronaldo) and nothing happened.

Or did he fuck them all, they wanted money to keep quiet, threatened blackmail, he called their bluff?

It’ll all come out in the wash.

Suspended by the club is standard, you can’t be accused of a crime and still play football doesn’t mean he’s guilty.

Certain player for another team who nobody can mention, now that shit is fucked up but he got his injunction in faster than Mendy.

With his fame and money, why did he need to rape?

He didn't. But the story is light on any details, if it wasn't I'd be looking star fucker cash-in sex. Plus probably a little racism thrown in there. From October until just this month seems really unusal, like he went on a lockdown rape fest. That's odd and different from any of these type of cases before.

Are there any news articles with more details yet?

The OP is a bit of a flip-flop. You call him a 'flop of a human being' then make reference to the fact that, at this point, the entire case is subject to investigation. I'm going to hold out on the name-calling until we see concrete evidence.

EDIT: OK, was apparently all over BBC yesterday, not just The Sun/The Mirror. Things ain't looking good.

Yeah it's weird. He probably has ten thousand women lined up wanting to fuck him, why does he need to (allegedly) rape? Maybe it's a power fantasy thing.

This.

When you are young, rich, and famous... if someone rejects you (how could they?) you just take it anyway. Well, if you're a piece of shit like this guy, that is.

Yup, you're right. Its standard practice in employment and labour law to suspend an employee while an investigation is on-going. Otherwise, the investigation can be tainted.

probably yeah but you can be arrested/suspended and that doesn't mean you're guilty or will be charged.

suspended by his club: they will protect themselves first and foremost and don't want to be seen to be involved in this. of course they'll drop him real fucking fast. if it was any average person they'd be suspended/fired from their job as soon as any allegation was made. if they kept them on or weren't seen to be doing anything then that makes them basically just as guilty (apparently) and the pitchforks and torches will be out.

not sticking up for the guy but just because he's been arrested and suspended doesn't mean he's automatically guilty. but hey it's 2021 so fuck me and yeah it seems LIKELY he is in the shitter.

There’s actually an injunction in the UK we are not supposed to know the name and the press in the UK can’t print anything about that person who may or may not be named above.

It's the most pointless thing ever injunctions, SUPER injunctions when the internet news outlets exist outside of the UK. I've still seen Kate Middletons tits.

Pep got his hands full already with missing out on Kane and now Ronaldo and then Mendy is doing this.
I guess it won't make much difference though, i think de Bruyne being made of papier mache is, as always, the main threat... Jesus done good, no?

I only imagine how many celebrities and athletes get away with this kind of crap on a regular basis. Probably a whole lot we never hear about, especially the big stars.

Can’t imagine that was worth the bandwidth to be honest.

I guess the persons legal teams at the time think fuck what can we do to keep it quiet and go into panic mode trying to protect their client.

Like the person who plays the piano who’s husband went and stuck his thingy up a load of other men and instead of being outraged that the husband did this, a super injunction was obtained to keep it all quiet - but only in the UK.

Anyway sorry if I’m not supposed to post that, mods please delete but you don’t need to dish out a warning if I shouldn’t post it, if this gets a super edit I’ll learn my lesson.
