-Benoit d. MVP
-New Breed d. Originals
-Melina d. Ashley
-Khali d. Kane
-Kennedy wins MITB(I think he'll come out of no where and take the title from Cena this summer, HHH will beat him for the title and set up Cena vs. HHH for the title at WM24)
-Lashley d. Umaga(Stone Cold shaves and Stunners vince)
-Taker d. Batista(taker actually carries Batista to a very good match like Hogan did Warrior)
-Cena d. HBK.(though I would mark out like a little girl if HBK wins!)

Honestly, with the lack of matches(only 6) and really no dream match outside of MiTB, I think there will be a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge shocker in one of the mainevents. I'm talkin a major heel turn, or some big twist no-one saw coming.

Actually, I wouldn't be suprised to see a a WMIX finish, where the winner of MITB cashes in after one of the world title matches.

Also, I have a feeling Hogan will show up after the Khali vs. Kane match.

Hogan is done with Vince, for real and it is not a work.
It will be a long time before they get on the same page again.

Thinking about it, they may pull a trick finish to the money in the bank match with Edge and Orton both winning and both coming down with the case at the same time.
This would lock their feud and they would then feud to see who gets it leading to summerslam where Orton could win it.
This would still give Edge momentum also so it is a win win.
Edge winning it clean is honestly a lose for them in the long run because it has been done before.

Eh, why not:

Benoit d. MVP
New Breed d. Originals
Ashley d. Melina
Khali d. Kane
CM Punk wins MITB
Lashley d. Umaga
Taker d. Batista (can't see them breaking the streak now)
Cena d. HBK - This one's a bit iffy to me. I pick Cena to win, but I wouldn't be shocked if HBK won and they made him a "transition champion" to lay the groundwork for another HBK-HHH rivalry whenever he comes back and claims it again.

If something big does not happen... or Cena walks out champ I am officially on a break with the product.

I want multiple kicks in the face!!!!

There isn't a single good match on the card.
Depends on your definition of good. No, there's no match where both participants can really go, like Foley/Edge last year, or some of the more memorable matches of the last couple of years, like Taker/Angle. And a ladder match without Shelton won't be as good as it could be.

But when Wrestlemania gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Like I said, it's going to be massively entertaining to see just how much booing Cena and Batista are going to get, so those to me are good matches. Lashley/Umaga is good; I mean, they both can work, and the stakes of the match are crazy wrestlecrap fun.

Even with as critial of the product as I've been, I'm still looking forward to the show tonight. The past couple years haven't had "great" matches all over the card..but a couple of gems here and there. It's all about the sum of the parts. The entire spectacle should be a hell of a lot of fun to watch.

I'm sure they'll throw us some sort of surprise tonight as well..possibly someone coming back (Jericho?) or a legend from the past we wouldnt be expecting.

I'll give WWE credit lately...the past few weeks of TV have been pretty damn good. With all the shows crossing over and the feeling of the rosters being "remerged" it just makes things so much better with a lot less filler.

I hope my co-workers from the dealership have a blast. They left last night when we closed at 5. If it weren't for having a infant daughter, I'd be there tonight.

ROH results from last night:

ay Briscoe Interview. Sydal and Daniels are out. Delirious is the replacement partner. Delirious is "cutting a promo".

1. Non-Title: Jay Briscoe and Delirious vs Matt Sydal and Christopher Daniels. Sydal and Daniels are full-blown heels. Delirious pinned Matt Sydal with the Bizarro Driver.

2. YAMATO vs Claudio Castagnoli. Claudio won.

3. Erick Stevens vs. Mitch Franklin Erick Stevens mauled him.

Sweeney was namedropping A-List celebs like Pauly Shore and Scott Baio; then introduced Chris Hero with Johnny Fairplay.

4) Nigel McGuinness defeated Chris Hero. Fairplay mauled with a lariat as well.

Rocky Romero is the new member of the No Remorse Corp.

5. Jack Evans & Naruki Doi vs. Davey Richards and Rocky Romero
Really good match. Evans won after the 630 on Davey.

6a. Homicide vs. Brent Albright
Pearce ran in for the DQ very quickly.

6b. Homicide and Colt Cabana vs Brent Albright and Adam Pearce
They're brawling everywhere. Pelle and Hagadorn are at ringside just fighting for the hell of it. Jim Cornette has also came out. "Fire Russo" chant starts up. Colt pinned Pearce

Intermission now. They're setting up the cage.

7. Steel Cage Match: BJ Whitmer vs Jimmy Jacobs
Jacobs has lost two teeth. Both guys are spiking the shit out of each other. Simultaneously. There's 2 spikes and a chair in the ring. There is also a barbed wire bat in the ring now. Jacobs was brainbustered onto a chair. Table is out. Whitmer just missed a frog splash off the top of the cage. Jimmy won the match with a senton off the cage through a table. Lacey also took a K-Driller at some point. Jacobs "wins their feud" if such a thing can be said. Match was insane and great.

8. FIP World Heavyweight Title Match Roderick Strong defends vs. Austin Aries
Strong beat Aries with the Strong Hold. He also got powerbombed onto the guardrail and fell through a table as well. Delirious chased Strong out of the building.

9. Dragon Gate Rules CIMA, Shingo & Susumu Yokosuka vs. Dragon Kid, Ryo Saito & Masaaki Mochizuki
Susumu pinned DK after rolling through a Dragon Rana(I think). Match was insane. Similar to last year, but longer

My thoughts:

What a great show. It has definitely converted my brother-in-law and cousin into wrestling fans. They even went so far as to say "I don't see how Wrestlemania could possibly compare to this," which for a couple guys who only semi follow WWE and before last night were more or less unaware of ROH is pretty hefty praise.

DG match was just off the hook incredible, and I was trying to decide if I liked this year's or last year's match better. I think I'll have to watch last night's match on DVD before I can decide.

Jimmy/BJ was just brutal, and I cringed when he took that Brainbuster onto the chair. Hopefully the knee/ankle thing is only minor, because it looked legit that he was working through it.

Strong/Aries was very solid, and it's a shame that it'll probably get overlooked when compared to the other matches on the card, because I felt that on another night it could have been a quality main event match.

Evans and Doi/NRC was really solid too. Seeing Jack do all of his flippity-do offense was making my companions mark for just about the whole match.

All in all, I'm either burned out on wrestling after this weekend or I'm just not that hyped for WM anymore. I'm thinking it's the latter, only 2-3 matches on the card seem like they're going to be anything more than passable.

I just wish that McMahon would go back to being backstage and stop thinking that he matters.
Now rumor is that he will fued with Rey Mysterio at summerslam
The problem with the wwe these days is that the writers are idiots and mcmahon is out of touch with what people want.
He comes up with toys like Umanga, Khali, Eugene, Cryme Time, Duece and Domino ( or baby snuka) , Masters and the masterlock, shoving the Coach in matches, and he drops everything else to play with these toys and forces them down people's throats sometimes even ignoring storylines.
Some of these toys he gets tired of ( cryme time, duece and domino) and they vanish, others he just cant stop playing with.

I actually agree with Liu Kang on today's card.

Rather than spend money on this, I will rewatch the best April 1st WM ever:

WMVI

already got my order in and both DVR's set. ironically there is nasty rain here A-****ING-GAIN this year!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last year rain screwed up the end of ****ing foley/edge so I completely missed the table on fire. I swear if rain plays in it again, I'm getting a refund from directv. (for those wondering, normally rain doesn't cause problems... it just seems when I stamp out $50 for a ppv there always seems to be something..wtf?)

anyway, my predictions:
MVP d. Benoit -they're going to try and put MVP over on this. :(
Originals d. New Breed - same as above only New Breed will still lose, even though they go over
Ashley d. Melina - I hate Melina, so that is all this pick really is
Kane d. Kahli - this is probably going to go to summerslam.. good heat on this.
CM Punk wins MITB - heh.. same as above actually. good heat on this contendership and CM Punk is going over
Lashley d. Umaga - Umaga's streak will end.. which is a shame. The real question is will vince go bald. If he was smart he would. if he was really smart stone cold (or celebrity legend/return) will play a part in it (prevent him from running?)
Taker d. Batista - guaranteed. Batista is getting boo'ed and Taker has a streak to uphold.
HBK d. Cena - I seriously have a feeling Cena's reign is over. For quite a while. He might get the belt back here and there, but him reigning like he has is starting to even get on his fans' nerves.

Big Surprise? - I'm guessing either RKO or Edge turn face. Probably not but I don't have much else to guess.

Really wish they had a few more matches.
i mean its a four hour PPV with 8 matches, and only a few of them look like they can go more than 10 mins. So maybe a lot of filler.

Wonder if they will put the Raw/Smackdown battle royale on the PPV or leave for DVD like usual.

Anyhow...

Chris Benoit d. MVP
Mr. Kennedy wins Money in the Bank
The New Breed d. The Originals
The Great Khali d. Kane
Melina d. Ashley
Undertaker d. Batista
Lashley d. Umaga
Cena d. Michaels (I honestly don't know what they will do with Cena after a while, he has pretty much feuded with everyone face and heel now.)

Uh...Cena already beat Umaga. Twice.

Unless

WM VI is the new roman numeral for 17.

I think you picked the wrong Wrestlemania to be the best April 1st Wrestlemania.

who will win
who i'd like to win

-Benoit v. MVP
-New Breed v. Originals
-Melina v. Ashley
-Khali v. Kane (notice no italics ;) )
-CM Punk vs Edge vs Randy Orton vs Jeff hardy vs Finlay vs King Booker vs Matt Hardy vs Ken Kennedy
-Lashley v. Umaga
-Taker v. Batista
-Cena v. HBK (if HBK wins the belt, he'll lose it really quickly)

Cena will make it 4-0* at Mania :D

*Fabolous didn't show up for WM 19

yeah, that's right

WrestleMania X = triple threat of awesome

Owen beating Bret
Razor v. Shawn ladder match
Lex Luger getting screwed
And you get Vince apologizing to Bret in a subtle way.

Some minor notes/spoilers from 411mania/Observer

- John Cena is scheduled to have the biggest entrance of all the wrestlers tonight at WrestleMania 23. The theme has to do with Detroit being the "Motor City."

- The Money in the Bank Ladder Match is scheduled to open the show. The word going on backstage is that the match has been booked to steal the show.

- The Undertaker vs. Batista is scheduled to be a "powerhouse brawl."

- John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels will be the last match of the show. WWE expects Cena to be heavily booed.

With MiTB being first I think its even more possible that the winner will cash in and win the title later in the show.

Edge's streak = owned. I was expecting either him or Orton to win.
Although I am pleased to hear Kennedy won.

2 for 2..that ladies and gentlemen was such a waste of time, though. Kane was however able to keep it from being a total train wreck.

that was pretty funny..

DAMN!

I honestly used to despise Kennedy but he has grown on me over the last couple of months.
the opposite happened for me... he looked like he had potential, but then it slowly became apparent that he was midcard for life (like bob holly)...

and speaking of someone with potential... MVP!

We will have to agree to disagree, because I feel the same about Mvp.
He will be teaming with the "world's greatest tag team" and doing run in's against whoever the monster of the month is in a few months.
