He wins the Heavyweight Title and gets back together with his wife in the same month?

Dont die in the ring, Kurt! :(

"oh shit"

Angle put out a notice that he was doing great a while back--I mean I like to be cynical, but I really doubt someone would go to the trouble of writing a note when he doesn't have to.

How about to try and dispel constant rumors to his failing physical state? That seems like a pretty good reason.

Let's make a check list for Mr. Angle's health concerns...

Heart condition
Bad knees
Bad neck
atrophened triceps
deaf in his left ear
wife claiming he's in so much pain he can't get up to play with his daughter

doesn't sound like someone in peak shape...now does it?

The intended recipient of that online message was definitely Vince McMahon. Even if Kurt says it was to calm his worried fans, he wrote that specifically so Vince would see it and feel better about giving the belt to him.

Don't forget that this is the same Kurt Angle that was obviously visibly numb and scared at Royal Rumble 2005 when he got thrown out, and he was slowly moving his fingers and grasping at his arm to get feeling back into it. It's the same Kurt Angle that let Daniel Puder put him in a keylock submission because his arms lost feeling and he couldn't move to counter it.

Even looking at the guy, he looks like he's half retarded now. He looks nothing like the Kurt Angle in these pictures: http://website.lineone.net/~k-wood/anglepics.htm

<Kurt Angle> hey guys i'm ok
<IWC> SHUT UP

I mean, I was on the "Angle is going to die" train for a while, but I dunno. Being able to keep working, let alone straightening out shit at home enough to get back with his wife...

Kinda not big news, but both Raw & Smackdown! are being done tonight

Smackdown is taped, while Raw will follow it Live. I hope results are out tommrow for SmackDown!

This is the same guy that broke his neck in qualifying for the Olympics and still risked death by using painkillers to win a gold medal, and then didn't sleep for four days afterward doing crazy promotional touring the entire time.

If he's fucked up, he's not going to let anyone know about it, but just looking at the guy is evidence enough that he is in very bad shape.

Good for his daughter that they seem to be working matters out.

But, you can't discount the myriad of injuries and handicaps he's got at this moment. The guy is in a much different place mentally than the rest of us, that's for sure.

Word has it that on PW Torch Radio it was reported that Stephanie McMahon is interested in bringing up CM Punk with the Nickname CM Punk "King of The Indies". I like that, as he shouldn't be raped of his moveset too badly, and he gets to be himself.

Hey, he may be or may not be. All I know is that it sounds like things are going better and I'm behing optimistic for the ugly bastard. :)

Great. Velocity needs more jobbers as Spanky and London getting their asses kicked on a weekly basis is getting stale.

Angle's body looks so different than it did. His head looks so much bigger and his shoulders less broad.

Is this a symptom of anything or just a symptom of age and wear and tear?

Usually a symptom of steroids. That is why everyone talks about the size of Barry Bonds head nowadays in comparison to a few years back.

CM is a rare talent. Great Mic skills, great in ring skills, and hes had strong referrals from several big name wrestlers in the WWE as well as from Paul Heyman.

I think the WWE is in for a huge influx of new talent starting soon and CM Punk will be a big part of that. The WWE has lost a lot of great workers recently. Most of their remaining top tier guys are old and injury prone. This is probably Taker's last run, who knows how long HBK has left since hes already wanting to cut back, you can never be sure with Kurt. Benoit's future is also a mystery.

I doubt very seriously the WWE will waste a tlaen tlike Punk on heat and velocity.

The WWE does nothing BUT waste talent in Heat and Velocity... what do you think the Cruiserweight division is?

Bah, I'd rather have Shane vs HBK.

Where'd you get the cool Carlito avatar from?

Also, I think if they are gonna waste time on a Vince/HBK match.. they should probably talk to Austin and do a Stone Cold/HBK vs Vince/Shane match at Mania.

IMO theres a huge talent gap between Punk and guys like Kid Kash, Paul London, and Gregory Helms.

In the next year or two, the WWE is going to be suffering roster wise to the point of desperation if they don't starting pushing new talent now.

God damn the UT rolled into the Royal Rumble on a horse? He's just got some of the coolest intro's ever. If anything i will miss his style and character *sans the biker version* when he retires best gimmick of all time imo.

That was a great promo and the way his music played to enter the arena straight after was good..

..anyways GO CHAVO you can do it!!! (really!)

you forgot one thing... Punk isn't a body builder...

Looks scrawny. Remember Vince now had a mad hard-on for ripped, monster guys. He only resorts to the smaller but more talented guys when the hosses get hurt.

If you've noticed, WWE had a hard time getting new talent over. Mostly because they stick them with ridiculous gimmicks.... Spirit Squad anyone?

Could some give me a very, very, very, very brief rundown of what I missed in the first hour?

I'd be much obliged.

Vince/Shane attack HBK
RVD defeats Snitsky
Golddust hits on Shelton's mama
HHH gets bad heel heat and defeats Chavo
Kane/Big Show defeat Masters/Carlito
I think that's it

Actually, the crowd was chanting HHH a couple of times during the match.

Not as funny as them chanting "Sideshow Bob" when Carlito was in the ring, but kinda funny.

Thanks a lot.

:lol :lol :lol @ Snitsky still being on Raw.

Did RVD just get some boos? wtf is that.

If Cena goes nuts on Edge post match, leaving him in a puddle of blood, that might be what his character needs.
