It doesn't look anywhere near as good as some of the videos and screenshots we've seen previously.
bullshots, downgrades and what not.

So you'd rather be deliberately obtuse and respond ONLY to that one person than reply to the thread as a whole. The person I was quoting wasn't quoting a video. So that's irrelevant to my point.

This is looking better and better. I'll say it a million times by the time I finally play it: This is the game I've wanted most on the PS4 since the reveal event.
I'm convinced most of these replies are from intellectually dishonest "concern trolls"
The higher fidelity games achieve, the less representative screenshots become. You can't get a decent sense of detail from a static image.
In summary, I can't wait for WebM to take off.
Shocking indeed.Yeah, i recognize a lot of the guys with a negative opinion of the screens so far and they are... shocker... XBO guys.

Well, I can't quite understand why they would even comment in a thread for a game they never wanted to play.
they must not be happy with what they have.
Perhaps.
In all honesty I played both games today at PAX and Forza horizon looked better overall. I do think Sony poorly calibrated their TVs and that didn't help, but Forza looks good.
Drive club didn't look bad, just not near those screenshots.
I think it was the gamescom build.
So you slow down when you hit your cars against things and other cars? That sounds pretty normal unless its done very poorly or something and it has to be played to know what you mean. Just seems normal to me for a car to slow down when it hits things. Seems an odd complaint.I played this at PAX, I have to say I'm a little disappointed. The game gets mad at you for driving on the shoulder of the road, it puts up a 3 second timer threatening to reset you back on the track. Also if you crash into other players it slows you down as a penalty, never mind the A.I. crashing into me. I can sorta understand the crashing thing, but it getting mad at you for driving on the shoulder? Drive Club is the most anal racer ever (I thought this game was more arcadey?).
It did look nice but it didn't seem as nice as some of the screens and videos the have been post before, could have been the TVs or the fact that I was standing two feet away from the screen?
I also tried Forza and The Club. Liked Forza for openness looked better then I thought it would, The Club was meh.
This thread delivers on so many levels, let's forget about all the other direct feed footage and say downgrade at screenshots we have no idea how they were taken on a track that looks dull. Never change gaf.
Oh good now we have Forza gameplay comparisons, this neogaf Driveclub thread is complete and it only took 4 pages. Well done guys, see you next time.
I remember Glam getting jumped on in the Gamescom thread for saying the game didn't look too hot.
Seems he wasn't wrong.
Would have happened in a Forza thread, too. Same with PCARS. That's just the nature of the beast.

What do you mean?
We've seen countless direct gameplay videos that showed it looking amazing, this track looks dull with dull weather not every track is going to look amazing as it's going for real world look, forza on the other hand even in the rainy footage we've seen looks like cartoony with the way they got after the overblown colourful look.
Jesus Christ Pre-Order cancelled. This looks on par with Gran Turismo 3 for crying out loud.
/Concern
How much is the game focussed online? Is there a solid offline single player component?
Looks like a PS2 game tbh
