How were we supposed to know this was some grand scheme by people in their Off-Topic section to stop people being asses in their General section, and in essence bring the two forums together? The only info we were given was by Stooge who said Xmun was basically doing it to get back at forum members they didn't like, and those pictures I posted where their admins were basically shitting down the throats of their members.
The simple solution would have been to not screw with GAF at all. I wasn't the only one who went all out on them when they tried blaming us to cover up what they did.

The shorter version: TXB fucked up, and tried to pass blame on innocents....
I'm a mod at txb (I'm pj there, yeah, I've never heard of me either), and I think some of you are trying to make this all seem bigger than it really is. From what I read in the mod forum, the planning only took a couple of days, and it was only meant to make fun of the slower GXD members, which is pretty much all of them.
The coverup was pretty hilarious, though, I wish I could have been a part of it, but who the hell gets up in the morning on a saturday?

A couple threads popped up and the mods explained mostly the whole thing. Supposedly it was a hoax to unite their gaming and ot forums. 30+ pages in the main one currently. The main guy compared GAFs destruction of the hoax as us spoiling what could've been "something special", "the greatest hoax on the 'net.".. and called us babies I think for revealing the truth.Wario64 said:

Quite a few people were upset. Others had the "Oh, thanks for making us look like 'tards for 50 pages mods. It was funny though... hah hah hah... I love this forum!" attitude.
But it's all dead and forgotten since they got invaded by some other forum (systemwars.com) who spammed the boards for a while. They thought it was GAF (again) but the truth came out.... again.

Oh, I forget to say that when anyone brings up the fact that they feel betrayed by the mods, someone jumps in real quick to defend their actions. Usually saying something the equivalent of that they're taking it too seriously and it was just a joke.
Then someone directly involved comes in and says something like, "haha yeah, we fooled everyone! It's so sad that they're so gullible!". Which is apparently not supposed to make them feel bad? :lol
