Last year, PayOffWizard made a contest here on GAF called 10 Games - 10 Scores, What's Your Prediction? which was met with a very positive reception. Sadly, he won't have time to run the contest this year (though he was kind enough to provide the images!) but I'm more than happy to step in and give you all what you've been asking for.
So this year, we're doing 12 games. You pick the score (based on Metacritic) and then you get points based on how close you are. So, without further ado...
Exact Score = 12 points
1 point off = 9 Points
2 points off = 8 Points
3 points off = 7 Points
4 points off = 6 Points
5 points off = 5 Points
6 points off = 4 Points
7 points off = 3 Points
8 points off = 2 Points
9 points off = 1 Points
10+ points off = 0 Points
Delayed to 2018 = 5 points
Cancelled = 10 points
You may only guess Delayed, Cancelled or a Score. All score guesses are valid even if delayed but released within 2017. A guess of delayed will only score if the game is delayed until 2018. Any score guesses for games delayed until 2017 will score 0 points. If you guess cancelled, the game must be officially cancelled through the official word of the publisher or developer (a press release, ideally - subtle Twitter hints will not count). A game that is not officially delayed but does not release in 2017 will count as Delayed (i.e., if Assassin's Creed is not announced/given a date).
If games are released on multiple platforms then the platform with the most reviews will count as the official score.
The official meritocratic score will be taken a couple weeks after the review embargo to account for score fluctuation and to let smaller sites have a say as well. If a score changes after the date I set the score, it will not be updated here and scores will not change. The ~2 week delay between release and setting the score should reduce fluctuation to essentially zero.
Please use the following format. Follow each game by a hyphen and then the score you will give it. If you don't follow this format, you may not be included . Make sure you do!
