6:20 seconds in, and this OS is a system seller on its own. Fucking incredible. The way Kinect is following this guy in his living room without physically moving the camera itself is insane, but the speed and responsive of everything else is pretty fucking awesome also. I'm going to have a lot of fun with this system.

It is a big deal, but it all depends on how quickly the system fires up. Not many people leave their systems on 24/7. PC doesn't even do that shit. You have to manage it all yourself generally.

This was as smooth as the unveiling demo by Yusuf, and we know how that turned out (jiggy realtime demos etc). I'd expect GAF to take this with a grain of salt.

I'll trust a real GAF dashboard walkthrough a thousand times over this.

I have my PS4 for the amazing first party games from Sony but the bulk of my multiplat and general entertainment will be bone-ified. I think it's a live and let live type thing. Just my two cents.

It's amazing that basically none of those features being demoed (voice control/TV stuff) will be available in Australia at launch. Some people are going to be pretty disappointed on launch day, especially given MS' constant promotion of these features.

Once satisfied, you package your video for cloud consumption and sharing – it'll encode and upload while you return to gaming, as long as you don't explicitly shut down the app. Programs are automatically closed when they're pushed out of the running queue (which goes up to 6, Whitten says), but the operating system is designed to keep you from worrying about closing programs and other housekeeping. You can do it manually if you want, which is nice if you're someone who closes his inactive iPhone apps because it's neater that way.

So what's missing

Voice commands (eye will have it but most likely not as good)
TV in and guide
Skype (I'm sure a Skype app will happen for Eye)
Snap feature

Once I had a proper think I realised I have using voice commands, I never watch regular TV, Snap isn't a big deal cause I use my smartphone while doing stuff on the TV. So in conclusion the features PS4 has is enough for me.
