How did this become the Ren & Stimpy versus Angry Beavers thread? You can't make me choose!

Carmen SD should be off before either of those. Heresy!

at this point i might as well just start voting off stuff that i never really watched.

Ren and Stimpy is top 10 material whether you like it or not, let's not kid ourselves here. that's like trying to vote off Batman or Dragon Ball Z or Spongebob.

When I first read the OP I decided to only vote off shows I watched with my own eyes. If I never heard of it, it was off limits. Didn't think it was fair to knock it if I didn't try it know what I'm sayin'?

Which raises the question of why the other Sonic show ("The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog" isn't in this battle.

Never understood the appeal for both of these shows. Could never make it past an entire episode.

Kill: Sailor Moon - Sailor Moon was my anime segue into viewing other, better anime. Didn't do much else.

You damn nerf herders trying to kill Swat Kats are just a bunch of Jon Snows. I'm glad 2 Stupid Dogs didn't show up, cuz seeing that on somebody's kill list would leave me even more peeved.

Swamp thing I barely remember. Sailor Moon was ... well I never really watched it, but it 1 of a few I would like to see removed off the list before classics such as powdered toast man Ren & Stimpy are considered for removal.

Midnight EST is the deadline and unless my math is terrible, AB is already dead. I think.

Awaiting official confirmation that it and Swamp Thing are toast. Hopefully I can count properly, but I wouldn't put it past me.

Edit: Maybe it's flexible, I've been alerted. So..... yeah. Vote and it might be counted.

The end of the voting period seems flexible if you look at the other rounds. For example, look at A Human Becoming's vote from the last round. Flexibility definitely helps people on the Pacific coast and night owls.

Edit: Just noticed that people are saying Deadline is Midnight EST. I live in NZ and work until 1PM EST and didn't have any time to use the PC today, would be much better if it was Midnight PST

This is true. So if you don't seey final roundup, you can still vote. I do refresh the page before I post those results.
voting for this round was real close but the sheer power of Angry Beavers fans cannot be understated.
Swamp Thing was voted out this round with 10 kill votes and 0 saves.
Sailor moon was bumped as well with 10 votes and 4 saves.
The only difference between that and beavers was that Beavers had 2 more saves. (10 votes 6 saves) and thus it survives.
Rounding out the top 5:

I actually switched to R&S with one minute to spare before you posted this. That's +2 kills for R&S.

Sailor Moon is 10 kills, 6 saves. That brings it to 4, if we're subtracting saves from kills.

Edit: Or....maybe MikeHattsu is onto something.

Edit: No, he was counting mine. So the conundrum stands I guess.

I didn't realize you'd show up right that second and I didn't have time to do the math :P

Made a typo with the Sailor Moon result. Its actually 10 votes and 4 saves.
I did make an error because when I tally the votes, I unfortunately didn't account for vote edits. Currently I have no method to resolve that so for now Ren and Stimpy stays. It can be voted out next round though.

Edit: I think R&S and Sailor Moon did tie, and I did get it in under the wire...

here's an easy solution for the deadline problem: make a post to alert everyone that the voting is closed (usually around 12 pm EST), every vote after that is not counted. Then count the votes and post the results

edited posts after the deadline are not counted either
 
I recounted all of the votes. Lowest amounts are:

Swamp Thing has 10 kills and no saves, so -10.
Ren and Stimpy has 10 kills and 4 saves, so -6.
Sailor Moon has 10 kills and 4 saves, so -6.
Angry Beavers has 8 kills and 5 saves, so -3.
Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego has 2 kills and 0 saves, so -2.
Big Guy and Rusty the Robot, South Park, Recess, Superman TAS, Gargoyles, Batman Beyond, Pokemon, and Doug all have -1.
 
I'm just going to note, I don't think it wise to:

A. Accept votes after an established deadline

or

B. Accept edits to votes, no matter when they were made.

You have to for this round, because those weren't a part of the rules, but in the future, you might want to consider that.

I edited my votes to R&S literally one minute before he posted the results (I had no idea he was about to do it/had just been informed that votes were still open/had just seen someone put R&S on the bubble). He was probably mid-tally when I did it.

Basically what I'm saying is that he didn't miscount; He counted it correctly as it appeared when he went to count.

Don't blame him in other words.

I think that that's how I'm gonna handle things from now on.
As for edits, I will allow them but only as far as up to the deadline. The reason for that is sometimes people post votes for things that are no lonfer on the list.That doesn't include discussion of the show. So the deadline for this round will be 1 AM EST to catch any late votes. After that it's closed.
Edit: Canti is absolutely correct, I refreshed and didnt notice the updated post.

I'm not blaming anyone for something like this, especially since I also came up with the same figures originally. Just wanted to recount the votes to double check.

So wait, which shows are dead now?

Thanks for doing the tally. I did the math just for the shows I knew were in the mix and that was a huge PITA. Doing the tally for every single vote...guhhh

Sailor Moon and Swamp Thing. The votes that would have made Sailor Moon and Ren and Stimpy tie were cast by me too late, in an edit to my post way up the page somewhere. You'll see that the timecode on it is 20 after the hour, and he posted at 21 (my edit came after he'd already tallied, which is 100% valid/it shouldn't have counted/he did it correctly)

Yeah, it's no problem.
You should see the spread sheet that I had to work with in the earlier rounds.
Hence why it's almost never on time. It is easier now though because voting is more concentrated.
Anyways on to the vote, yes?
