At the rate everyone in the thread is posting, it might attract more voters just to see why it keeps getting bumped.

Yeah. Not so sure I should drop the 2 kills with the same show being killed rule just yet though.

I would think that waiting until the top 15 or so to do that would keep the thread from getting stale.

For a final thought before I slink off to sleep,
I think that this threads not going to become really popular until we hit maybe top 15 or 10. I could try bumping it during the day but honestly, the list is very long and I guess a lot of people just don't want to stick around. But I bet once their favorite shows I close to the finish line, it'll pick back up.

There's alliances forming, attempted last second snipes of cult classics, and only a very small group of people are needed to take down shows that were mega-hits worldwide throughout the entire nineties.

This has all the makings of a top-10 bloodbath.

I'm afraid having Simpsons on the list makes the fight for number one spot too easy. Soon as Simpsons off-topic people get whiff of this thread, they will be here in droves.

I think the spirit of the thread is 90's Nick/Cartoon Network/Fox early morning (or after school/Saturday morning) cartoons. That's just my personal feelings on it though. Giving it to the Simpsons would seem really...ehh.... If the question had been "What is the most popular cartoon ever made and one of the largest media properties on the planet?" The Simpsons would definitely be #1, but that's boring.

I actually counted votes at the "deadline" and AB had 10 kill 5 save, Sailor Moon had 8 kill 4 save, and Swamp Thing had 13 kill 0 save. I'm okay how it is set up now. The deadline is when everything is counted and done. I do think you can post a voting is closed message and then edit it so you don't get any last minute votes while tallying everything.

My wife said she likes Angry Beavers, but she would take Sailor Mon over AB any day of the week.

I can't pull old friends into the thread, i'm not positive they would vote Angry beavers off. I'm also not positive that they would vote DBZ to #1.

His count is accurate. I was just saying that I counted before I went to sleep which was like minutes to midnight and that's what I saw. I also agree that people are allowed to edit and vote until OP says voting has stopped or the results are posted. i never took midnight as a
solid deadline.

I always thought Courage lacked charm or good storyboarding. I need to look into the shows remaining that I haven't seen, like The Weekenders.

Batman can give The Simpsons a run for its money, and the post 90s Simpsons episodes will hurt it, I think.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but none of this applies to my storyboard criticisms.

I found the show to be really bland overall.

I've watched few moments of angry beavers but I didn't like it. It was just stupid. Ren is angry cartoon character done to perfection. Also classics like Mr. Horse, log, spaaaaaace madness... Anyone that votes ren&stimpy off ahead of angry beavers is just being contrarian for the fuck of it.

Ren & Stimpy was funny. As a child I never found anything grotesque about it. Ren being ridiculously angry and fantasizing about violence was funny.

I don't look at these shows as the same. The less annoying short beaver isn't nearly as crazy as Ren.

Next round I might be going for Hercules since it was way worse than Aladdin from what I remember. Most of the Disney shows were meh excluding Duck Tales and sometimes Goof Troop.

I think Daria was a casualty of circumstance. Kind of like Sailor Moon last round. when one show is right on the cusp of elimination and a show you would like to save is right there too, vote to kill the one show and save the one you want. There are plenty of shows that can go before Angry Beavers (not courage though) but it's more fun trying to get rid of the Beavers.

There are a ton of shows left that I love... So I am focusing on killing shows I hated and putting in a save for a random show I kind of liked to avoid drawing any unwanted attention to my otherwise favorites. Unless, of course my favorite has a kill vote or two going, at which point I may as well try to save it.

Compared to Carmen Sandiego & Big Guy, Angry Beavers was all hit.

I did the math and I don't think it matters whether I use a save on AB or not. I'd sooner see Rusty go than Carmen (at least Carmen had the awesome theme song) so there you have it. I mean, Carmen should be next for sure, and AB shouldn't have gone this round, but...well, you heard him: 30 minutes to go and The Beavers and getting boned with or without me.

Edit: I have no idea which has more votes between Carmen and Rusty. That math would have taken more time than I wanted to spend on this Whichever goes, the other should go next.
