Tsutaya DID have DS preorders by the way....

it took FOREVER for them to take the games orders,
JTV was a little pissed with them after two of their employees told him that there would be NO preorders.

I was pondering complaining to the manager and then showing him my two paid-in-full DS receipts from Bic, but I decided to just let it slide. Really the only one who loses out is them, so why bother making that guy feel shitty over it. If the actual people who insisted to me they wouldn't be taking preorders today were there, then I would've said something for sure.
