As for the actual boarding itself, it's seen a change towards the user-friendly side. Seymour explains that, "For years snowboarding games have been tough and punishing, but games shouldn't be about feeling frustrated; they should be about having fun." So Amped 3 focuses less on hardcore controls that take days to master, and more on just having a good time. For example, the rail button is gone. By riding near a rail or jumping onto one, you'll automatically start sliding or grinding it without having to worry about an extra button. Also, it's much, much easier to land your jumps. In the air, you can mash all kinds of buttons and still have a good chance to land your jump...
