I don't mean to alarm you but you have dogs on your face
I was at Walgreens today looking to see if they have Proactiv (didn't expect it), but saw two acne treatment sets for $20 that claimed to be comparable to Proactiv. Are this stuff basically Wal-Activ, or what? Is it pretty much the same stuff? And if so, and if anyone knows what products I'm talking about, which is better?

Also, regardless of whether or not these products are worth it, how should Proactiv be used (I'll mainly be using it for some light-to-moderate bacne)? I've heard that the instructions say to use it one way but it's better to use it another way. Anyone?

Another thing....I looked at the ingredients and didn't see any Salycilic acid or whatever it's called. I use a body wash in the shower with that stuff, and it seems to help. If I use Proactiv or one of these products from Walgreens, should I continue using that body wash?

I use this stuf called acne free..its almost identical to proactive and it works really well..where proactive didn't work for me at all. Also it runs between $15-$20

These products use benzoyl peroxyde which in my case works better than salylic acid. Its its only about 3% BP so it doesn't burn your face.

I also use clearasil ultra twice a day which has BP. Plus I think at least one of the products I looked at had 10% BP.

Also like I said, it's mostly for my back, since my face rarely breaks out. Which leads to another question.....is it alright to use Proactiv or Proactiv-like products on areas where there is hardly any or no acne, just as acne prevention?

I assume they are just generic drugs so yes, they are the same. I've been told to use it where you don't have a break out to prevent in in the future.

$50/hour, but no kissing on the lips and colors must be pre-separated

I use Clearasil Ultra as well and it work great if you use it regularly. Not exactly the cheapest stuff in the world though...
