sorry if i got pissy im just in a pissed off mood because of tonights loss. fucking dammit.

i seriously dont think the fan tried to hit sheffield on purpose. but i dont blame sheffield for reacting the way he did because his head was down the whole time. im sure theyre cursing and threatening him the whole night. so all he knows is that someone just tried to take a swing at him and he reacted.

No kidding, wow that was some funny stuff. How is KC even considered a MLB team after that debacle last night. They gave up ELEVEN runs in the 9th. Comedy of errors.

Damn do I feel bad for Buddy Bell inheriting that AA team.

GO TRIBE! WILDCARD BABY!

Oh wait..... This is my beloved Indians... I'm prepared for disappointment.

So come October the only gamme the tribe will be playing is golf.

Big Poppa Flash is the Yankee Killer.

how's he a yankee killer? *pffft* go rub halladay's leg or something......
i think we can take the white sox in the playoffs. they cant hit, but they can play defense and pitch. but i think we can beat them (provided we get out of our own way first)

Ugh, this loss is even worse than yesterday's.

I swear to God, my new life goal is to follow Aaron Rowland and throw knives at his ACL whenever possible.

It was a play at the plate.

Posada had the shit blocked. Dude was out by 8 years.

Ump called the runner safe.

Suiciding. :(

Wow. That's pretty fucking corny. Still, it was good to see the Yanks actually play these type of games against the "best team in baseball", though I don't know if the low scores are more indicative of our pitching than an indictment of their hitting.

Sorry Yinkee fans, Uribe was safe. Go watch the replay a few more times. Uribe's foot got in there before the tag was made. Posada didn't have the entire plate covered. Sheffield was safe on his play, though. Seeing Aaron Rowand out there in center field must make you Yankee fans livid that you have a rotting corpse fielding that position.

Oh, and thanks White Sox! I won't be rooting for you this weekend, however.

gee, i guess people arent allowed to slow down after fifteen years. cant have that.

Bernie Williams isn't an everyday player anymore, and yet I still see him out there on a consistent basis. Look, I like the guy, and his classical guitar abilities, but he clearly doesn't have it anymore. The Yankees declined his 2006 option for a reason, you know. I just thought they would've filled that hole by now.

they tried. after kotsay signed and winn went to the giants the realistic options werent much better than bubba crosby (well at least not worth the prospects for a slight upgrade). but im not sure why bubba crosby doesnt start more.

I guess it was bound to happen... too many fucking games pitchers like the Big Fuckup, Carl Pafuckup, Jaret Fucking Wrong, and Mike 40000 Pitches by the 3rd Inning Fuckssina fucked up that guys like Chacon and Aaron FUCKING BEST PITCHER IN PINSTRIPES EVER Small get screwed.

This beer's for you Aaron Small and Shawn Chacon, Mr. Better Pitchers than those Overpayed Primadonna Guys (cue Budweiser music.)

jesus christ. watch the clip and make your judgement dont base it on a picture.

once a ball is in the air and in foul territory its fair game between the fans and players. it is NOT like a ball in play on the field in fair territory.

his hand is a fist because he tried to catch the ball. if podsednik not had caught the ball it would have landed directly into the fans hand.

Are.....are....you Steve Bartman?

David Wright is way too good to be a Met. He'll be the best 3B in baseball within 3-5 years (depends how long it takes Rolen to fall off).

Love these last two games of the Sox, showing that grit and determination needed to win come the playoffs. Manny has been absolutely possessed post-trade deadline too. Now we just need a healthy Foulke back, Schilling in the rotation, and Papelbon called up to the 'pen and we're ready to roll.

Arod says no.
ARod plays absolutely SHIT defense at 3B, sorry, its a fact. He's a worse 3B than Chavez, Blalock, and Rolen already.

Put him at SS and he's the most valuable player in the league hands down, but at 3B he's a mediocre defender at a key defensive position, i.e. a big contributor to why Yankee pitchers all suck. Though, he does look a bit worse with how much he needs to cover up for ol' stone feet Captain Jetes.

BUT BUT Jeter makes the GREATEST PLAYS EVER!! like when he ran over Cano to get that ball in center field. and when he busted his face in the stands.

GREATEST PLAYS EVER

He's still the worst regular SS defensively in the past 20 years, statistical fact. He's just throw up a few nice highlight plays on fly balls.

It was a flat out insult to all previous (deserving) Gold Glove winners last year when Jeter was basically given it on the merit of one play. The real GG SS in the AL last year should have been Bobby Crosby or Miguel Tejada, my choice would have been Crosby, despite him being a rookie.

If we're talkin SS, my favorite will always be Omar Vizquel. When he's on, he's ON. Just a master of the position. His batting doesn't cut it, but defensivley he's put up some of the most beautiful plays.

It's a shame he's hanging around too long and tarnishing his "possible" HOF career. 9 Gold consecutive Gold Gloves can't be wrong.

In baseball, there's no such thing as tarnishing your HOF career. The longer your rotting corpse stays on the field, the more HOF voters fall in love wtih you. Ridiculous, if you ask me.

Personally I think Vizquel is marginally overrated as an SS. 1990-1998 Vizquel was great, putting up some awesome defensive years, but since then he's been pretty back and forth. Still better than most SS, but not the perenial GG candidate he gets the press for. The ironic part is that he's having a great defensive season this year, better than a lot of his GG years, but I doubt he'll actually get it.
